The penthouse was the perfect property for a small family get away. The host thought of everything we could possibly meed during our stay., including a bottle of wine, nuts, fresh flowers and chocolates as a welcome gift.
The views from the front terrace is stunning. It was a treat to sit on the deck and have a glass of wine as the sun set.
Everything was so clean and well organized. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with great soaps and shampoos.
We were able to walk to everywhere in town from the apartment, and it was easy to get to the trail to walk along the headlands.
We had a 5 star experience at the penthouse!

We had a wonderful time! Our place was spacious and well equipped. In fact we made a full french toast breakfast for seven one morning and had plenty of space. The view from our balcony was amazing as was our host Lisa, who was very helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our family event.

This property was a stellar stay. The location can't be beat (as long as stairs aren't an issue)! The Main St. location was super convenient for access to local businesses, ocean views, and walks along the bluffs. The space was very well maintained and up to date. The furniture is well situated for enjoying the gorgeous ocean view. Everything is great quality - the two main beds, linens, cookware, etc. The bathroom was spacious and clean. We felt right at home. A great value!

This was our first stay at a VRBO and it was fantastic. Lisa was wonderful. The location was wonderful and the apartment was phenomenal. Lisa was attentive to our needs but also respectful of our privacy and independence. The apartment is in walking distance to all of downtown Mendocino. The views from the balcony are gorgeous. The apartment has cable/dish TV, which I do not think is mentioned in the amenities, but was an important feature for our family. The WiFi was great; helped me stay on top of my business while on vacation. The attention to detail in this home was amazing. It has everything you need to cook and feel at home....even facial tissues, which is always something I am searching for when I travel. The kitchen is fully stocked with all utensils, cookware, and cocktail making and drinking materials. Thank you Lisa for making our first VRBO experience so wonderful!

The two bedroom “penthouse” is nicely furnished & fully appointed with all the necessities; absolutely gorgeous views from front deck, living/dining room, & even the bedroom. Lisa is an excellent host, & we would love to stay here again on our next trip to Mendocino.

My husband and I have been to the Mendocino area many times and we were so happy to have found this little gem. This was our second time staying at the penthouse and will always be our “go to” when we come back. Not only are the views and location perfection but the home is warm and inviting and Lisa is the best host! She always makes us feel so welcomed and special (it was a birthday celebration). My husband and I cooked two of the three nights we were there and the kitchen was fully stocked with very nice cookware and all the utensils we needed. The penthouse is bliss, offering a quiet, peaceful and very scenic space❤️

We stay in Mendocino a couple of times a year, sometimes at BnBs but this Penthouse is so beautiful we hope it will be available as our very favorite. Very comfortable and stylish and spotlessly clean and well maintained. The views are stunning and it's so great to be right in the village and walk to everything. We didn't meet the landlady but she was there for us, and welcomed us with a beautiful tray of goodies.
Everything for our comfort was provided.

This is our favorite place to stay in Mendocino. We have stayed at the Penthouse on 4-5 different occasions and it's becoming a yearly event for our family. If you want to experience the heart of Mendocino this is the place to be. It's is vintage but with up to date accommodations, well maintained and supplied. Eating out is fun but we like to cook and the kitchen is well supplied with what you need. Looking forward to our next visit!

We had a wonderful week-long stay over the week between Christmas and New Years. Wonderful, clean, spacious place with amazing views and fully stocked kitchen and game room. Could even watch all the channels on Roku. Central to everywhere, easy to park, quiet and comfortable in every way. A definite 5-star for VRBO

We've stayed in Mendocino Village many times over the past 20 years, but we've never stayed anywhere nearly as nice as this penthouse apartment. It has it all: incredible ocean views, a fantastic location, tons of space, beautiful furnishings and artwork, and a large, well-stocked kitchen. Checking in and out was a breeze, too. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

My daughter and I stayed in the Penthouse for 3 nights in October . It was magnificent ! The condo is very comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing visit. And, the view! Just amazing! We truly enjoyed Mendocino and the Penthouse was the cherry on top. Walkable to everything that makes Mendocino special - great walking trails, the beach, shopping, dining. Perfection.

Lisa’s place is delightful. An older cottage that has been tastefully updated, with everything one could need during their stay. Unfortunately we couldn’t make full use of the outside area because of the unusually wet weather for the time of year, but the smell of the air among the redwoods after the rain made up for it. Communication during our stay was easy and we would happily stay there again when visiting the area.

Lisa’s property is wonderful!! So much so we didn’t want to leave.
We hit the weather at the right time so we were able to take full advantage of the deck overlooking the bay. Upstairs was a surprise! A virtual shrine to rock and roll with guitars, and great books in a cozy setting. The kitchen, dining and living room are open plan and have a great view of the headlands and water. Nothing was lacking in the kitchen. It’s very well stocked. We will definitely come back.

I’ve stayed at quite a few rental homes and I must say this is one of the best. The Penthouse is beautiful and artistically decorated, and I could tell the home was loved and well cared for. On top of that, the host (Lisa) was very helpful and responsive when we had questions. She had even left us a gift to welcome our arrival. The kitchen very well stocked…much better than most…and the views of the ocean and headlands were spectacular. The location was excellent, right in town and close to my favorite shops. But it was near the end of town, so it was quiet and not too crowded with tourists. It was a short walk to the hiking trails and the beach, which our dog absolutely loved! We will definitely stay here again if we have the chance. Thank you, Lisa, for making this a memorable experience!

Great group getaway!
After a rugged backpack trip along the Lost Coast with friends camping, this was a lovely reward for us! Comfortable beds, full and well equipped kitchen to cook up delicious food (a step up from our dehydrated backpacking food), charcuterie boards and wine on the deck with our ocean view. Absolutely perfect stay in every way! Great host and a convenient walkable location for runs by the beach and enjoyed strolling through galleries and walking to some delicious restaurants.

In the past, when visiting Mendocino, we have opted to stay out beyond the town, but this time, staying at this beautiful home, right in town, was so much fun! being able to walk to all of the wonderful restaurants in town and visit all of the shops without having to drive was really fun! The home is really beautiful, well supplied, clean, and lovingly decorated. Lisa was responsive to our questions and helpful in making recommendations...a great host!
We could have had a wonderful weekend just sitting on the spacious, wrap-around deck because the view from there is truly spectacular! We hope to enjoy this home again!
