Located in Sleeping Bear Dunes, this attractive house for $523 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Immaculate, 1800 square foot, beautifully furnished home, with all new furniture. 2 bedroom, 2 full baths, perfect for 1 or 2 couples, or small family. (Sleeps up to 4 adults) The 3rd bedroom has been turned into a yoga/ fitness room ( please see photos) Peaceful setting on 2+acres, in the heart of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Close to Lake Michigan and Big and Little Glen Lakes. Located directly between Glen Arbor and Empire, and just a short 5-7 minute drive in either direction, to shops, restaurants, wineries, beaches, and the National Park. This home has everything you need to make your vacation up north as comfortable and as pleasant as possible....We even added a brand new “Pro-Form” elliptical machine, so you don’t have to miss your workouts while at Turner Empire! Bluetooth enabled... and located in the yoga/ fitness room, in front of the big screen TV. 🙂💪👊 The main floor has a master bedroom with a king-sized bed. The living room has 2 brand new comfortable gray recliners and matching love seat, and a linear propane fireplace. The main floor also has an elegant, well-stocked, kitchen with double oven, open floor plan with dining area. The lower-level is a separate living space... 2 bedrooms with queen-sized bed in one bedroom, and a yoga/fitness room. A living room, with large, brand new sectional couch, full bath, wet bar with mid-sized fridge, microwave and coffee pot. ALL rooms have XL smart TV's on walls. A new, front load, washer and dryer are located in laundry room on main floor. Cable, Internet, linens and towels provided. All bedrooms have TV's...TVs are smart TVs.. so you have the option to sign into your Netflix or other accounts to watch movies/ shows. There is a covered porch on the front of the house, with 3 adirondack chairs and a coffee table, for relaxing or bird watching in the woods, surrounding the house. The back deck is open for sunning and we just added a large gazebo on the extended deck… with an outdoor dining area, including a brand new large propane grill and flat top grill. Also on the extended deck, are 6 comfortable chairs with cushions and tables, around an outdoor gas fire pit. Additionally, a regular fire pit is located in the backyard, with PLENTY of firewood provided. If you are looking for NEW, CLEAN, and BEAUTIFUL, this is your rental! Perfect for a couple's romantic weekend get-a-way... We offer 2-3 day rentals all summer long, for those who don't want to stay in the area an entire week. Owners are local, and will respond promptly to any needs or concerns, or even questions about the area, you may have during your stay. Plenty of parking with room for boat and jet skis. Bring your water toys and bikes! Lakes and trails aplenty, within 5 miles radius from house! The house has wood and tile floors throughout.. no carpet. We are dog friendly... and have a nice backyard, which is surrounded by woods.. to exercise your pet. : ) * Please check the "Pets" box if you are bringing your dog. We DO have a pet fee, and this needs to be added to your reservation before booking. Thank you. : ) Only one dog allowed , unless cleared with owner first. *NOTE: If you have dog that sheds excessively, please understand that there will be an extra cleaning fee charged ...it takes lots of extra cleaning and laundry to get the house back to "perfect" for the next guests arrival. Cancellation Policy: Full refunds on canceled reservations if canceled at least 60 days before your arrival date. My husband and I and our 2 friends had a great time staying at Turner Empire! Everything was spotlessly clean from kitchen appliances, cupboards, drawers and dishes to bedrooms and bathrooms. The rooms were nicely decorated with fun fall decorations! There wasn’t a speck of dust anywhere! There are lots of fun activities and places to explore nearby. We enjoyed hiking in the dunes area, a play in Traverse City and a fabulous dinner at Trattoria Stella! The owners are very nice! I highly recommend Turner Empire!!

A perfect place- clean, quiet and stocked with everything you need. We especially loved the large house and all the backyard (and porch) amenities. Since I made the reservations I was the hero of the weekend. Nice to have Glen Arbor so close too.

We loved Turner Empire! What a great place to relax and rejuvenate. The porch was shady on a hot day, and the backyard had great seating for hanging out, eating and grilling.
It was literally the best stocked rental I’ve ever stayed in and we’ve rented many, many houses over the years. The house had literally everything we could possibly want, and made it easy to cook at home. But it was also close to both Glen Arbor and Empire, Sleeping Bear dunes and 30 minutes from Traverse City, Leland and wineries.
It did not have air conditioning, but the downstairs stayed cool even in almost 90 degree heat.
Linda and Bob were very welcoming and responsive - highly recommend this place!

We had a nice stay at this property, but afterward the owner charged us for damage (a hole in the deck) that we did not do. The hole had been present throughout our stay, so it must have been left by previous guests.
We contested the charge and explained our awareness of the hole to the owner, but she stated that she was not interested in hearing from us and would not refund the charge. I feel that the appropriate response in this situation would be for the owner to check with the previous guests to see what they knew about the damage.
We are responsible guests and have never received a negative guest rating for a short-term rental. I would not recommend this stay to friends or family.

We had a lovely stay here! We especially enjoyed sitting outside in the morning sipping coffee, surrounded by the trees. The house was very clean. It was set up well and had everything we needed. The location made it easy to get over to Glen Arbor for the afternoon, which we did. Thank you for a wonderful getaway weekend!

The moment we pulled in we were in heaven. Such a cute house tucked back in the woods. Plenty of space inside and out for our family of 4. We enjoyed the many amenities. Bob and Linda were very prompt with communication. The area is beautiful with lots to do and we look forward to coming back in the future. Thank you again!

This was the best stocked short term rental we’ve ever stayed at. Everything we needed was available, and then some. The space was clean and well organized. Communications with the host were excellent and check in/out very simple, although there was some confusion with the process due to different instructions from VRBO vs. the host themselves for our delayed arrival. The only downside for us was that one of the three beds in the home is a child's bed, and not very comfortable for an adult due to the mattress being supported underneath with two boards that had shifted to the head of the bed, leaving the middle of the bed unsupported. The host had already offered to supply a blow up mattress and extra bedding before we even arrived. I had accepted the offer but didn't see the blow up at the site. My adult son found a way to remain comfortable in the bed, so we didn't contact the owners about the blow up mattress, although I'm certain they would have immediately solved the issue for us if needed. The cost was high for the space, but I put that to high season in a resort town. Regardless we appreciated the late availability of the space as it was worth it to us to be close to family. I do recommend the space to others for family stays.

Everything was perfect for our group of three adults and water-loving lab. It was extra clean and had lots of thoughtful touches throughout-- including garden roses in vases during our week long stay. We enjoyed visits by twin fawns and many hummingbirds. Everything the area has to offer was a short drive away. This is definitely the place to stay if you enjoy scenic views, hiking, birding, beach days, and small town treasures.

Our family had a wonderful time staying in this house. It is equidistant to Empire and Glen Arbor. It sits back in the woods and has beautiful landscaping all around the property, as well as a dedicated outdoor fire pit, bbq and plenty of outdoor sitting space. The interior is gorgeous, well maintained and comfortably furnished for my family of four. The owners are pet friendly and our dog had a great time too! The kitchen was well equipped, there was a washer/dryer and the house was stocked with cleaning supplies. Easily one of the nicest “up north” houses we’ve rented over many years of summer vacationing in the Bear Dunes.

This is our first time up north for the wine tour and we wanted somewhere comfortable to stay during our trip. This cottage made us feel like we were back home! It was so cozy and clean, and the location was just a short drive to various wineries. It’s tucked away in a wooded area - nicely secluded from other houses. Bonfire pit out back was a nice option! We didn’t take advantage of that, but thought it was nice to have the option. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this location!
