If you need an extra bed, you can use the comfy queen size sleeper sofa in the loft as an additional sleeping space, increasing the total sleeping accommodations to eight. The primary bedroom is on the first floor and faces Lake Michigan, with walk-out access for a morning stroll to the water. Step through the doors for some bird watching and fresh air any time you please. You'll get a great night's sleep on the king-sized Tempur-Pedic bed, and the two closets and dresser give you plenty of space to unpack your belongings. This bedroom has a lovely ensuite bathroom with slate floors, double sinks, a double-headed shower, and access to an outdoor shower. There’s also a bathtub for a relaxing soak and a bidet. Additionally, a half bath is conveniently located off the main living area on the first level. Upstairs, you’ll find two more spacious bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Both bedrooms face the lake and have spectacular views right from the beds, both of which have new queen-sized Casper mattresses. Many of our guests crack the windows to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the lake. One of the queen bedrooms has access to a private balcony, perfect for catching beautiful sunsets over the lake or snapping some photos to remember your stay. The upper-level bathrooms are located in the hallway, providing easy access to both bedrooms. One has a large walk-in shower, while the other is equipped with a shower/tub combo. ☆☆ KITCHEN & LIVING/DINING ROOM ☆☆ The stunning common areas are a joy to relax in, thanks to the high ceilings, exposed wood, and slate floors that seamlessly blend the indoor space with the outdoor surroundings. Our open floor plan allows you to cook while you interact with those at the dining room table or in the living room, making this the perfect spot for connecting with loved ones. The kitchen has everything you’ll need for cooking tasty meals for the whole family, and you can enjoy stunning views of Lake Michigan as you do so. We’ve provided pots, pans, dishes, spices, olive oil, paper products, a coffee maker (standard drip Cuisinart), a mini food processor, a blender, a toaster, a microwave, utensils, a knife set, and more! We often have holidays at the house so we've tried to think of all the things a family needs to prepare meals at home. We also have a propane Weber grill just outside the kitchen if you enjoy grilling. If you are wondering if we have a particular kitchen item, please don't hesitate to ask. Once it comes time to eat, you can enjoy meals together around the handcrafted dining room table. If you'd like more seating, we have a card table you can add on to expand seating from 6 to 8. There is a sunny breakfast nook that overlooks the yard and water beyond, which is a great place to sip your morning coffee and watch for hummingbirds. Across from the kitchen and dining area, the cathedral ceiling living room beckons with its comfortable furniture and Door County stone two-story fireplace. It has a propane starter for natural wood and our caretaker stocks nice dry wood right next to the fireplace. We replaced the furniture in 2020 and when doing so, we added an extra couch so the family can spread out in comfort. Next to the fireplace, you'll see a pen and ink watercolor of the shoreline drawn by my Uncle, an accomplished artist. There’s no better spot for hanging out as a family, making plans for an exciting day around Door County, or simply relaxing as the sun or moon rises over the lake. The upper-level loft is where you’ll go to enjoy fun movie nights. This is our entertainment center, complete with a Smart TV and more comfy furniture. We have Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube TV for your favorite sports, adventures, and shows. The loft converts to a 4th bedroom or playroom for the kids. We have recently added air conditioning, new furnace, oven, refrigerator, microwave, outdoor propane grill and replaced the living room furniture/rug. There is also a new beautiful stone stairway to the lake. ☆☆ OUTSIDE SPACE ☆☆ Our home is all about bringing the outdoors in, but we also have a fantastic outdoor space for you to enjoy during all four seasons. There’s a wooden deck along the lake’s edge with handmade Adirondack chairs and a 36" fire pit - perfect for evening s’mores or early morning cups of coffee. In the summer, you can launch your kayaks and canoes directly off our shore, and the deck has plenty of spots for sitting back and enjoying the solitude of your surroundings. We also have a gas grill if you feel like having a BBQ. We are 10 minutes from the town of Jacksonport, a darling community north of us, with the best meat counter in all of Door County. The store owner at Bleys' has meat from his pigs and cattle in his store cooler. It doesn't get any more farm-to-table than that! Jacksonport has a beautiful sandy beach and a classic playground for kids. There is also Town Hall Bakery, the most down-home bakery you can imagine. Across the peninsula, just 20 minutes away is Egg Harbor. They have the best grocery store in all of Door County: Main Street Market. Super wine collection, gourmet cheeses, fresh produce, and a wide selection of high-end food. Don't miss the frozen scones!! Also, our favorite boutique home goods store, Maxwell House, is a must. Just 15 minutes north of us is Baileys Harbor, a bustling town with fabulous restaurants, cool shops and Door County Brewery, that has live music, great food in the high season, and friendly people. ★☆ Book Today & Let Us Take Care Of You In Door County! ☆★ Keywords: Home, vacation home, cape cod, lake, lake view, Cave Point, Jacksonport, Sturgeon Bay, Baileys Harbor You will be able to access all areas of the house except a small storage room. Inside, the house was a very comfortable space for 6 adults. The three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms allowed for privacy, and the common areas were great for hanging out, eating, and being together. The kitchen was well equipped and well stocked. Outside, the decks and the yard were favorites spots where we played games and enjoyed being right on the lake. We loved being so near to the county and state parks and enjoyed running and hiking without having to drive somewhere. Janet was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. Our family loved staying here and we would definitely return the next time we visit Door County. Thank you!

We had a girl's weekend at Janet's house. The house was well cleaned before our stay and Janet was great to communicate where to get groceries and some places to try for meals. We used the outdoor firepit and forgot to pick up wood, so appreciated the wood available (convenience comes with a price). My suggestions for improvements are to have a bucket (without holes) near the firepit (it's the way I was taught as a girl scout). We appreciated the options to start the fire as the lighters were all out of fluid so had to pick alternatives. The rooms were spacious and there were plenty of bathrooms for us all to get ready. The location is right next to the state park so we were able to go on some walks and even went to the Dunes at one point. We would definitely stay here again as it's a great retreat but you can still drive to Bailey's Harbor or Egg Harbor easily.

We’ve visited Door County for many years and have never stayed anywhere as beautiful as this house. From the master bedroom you can fall asleep looking at the moon over the lake, have an outdoor fire over the lake, or sit in the spacious living room with tons of windows. The owner was very nice and communicative. Highly recommend!!
