About this house rental
Nestled in Door County, this attractive house for $895 per night is a great choice for your next break. This beautiful home is just minutes from Sister Bay on the banks of Rowleys Bay overlooking Lake Michigan. It's a beautiful, spacious home, but at the same time it offers an intimate lake-house feel. Within a couple blocks, there is a boat marina, zip-lining, a boat launch and slips, along with segway tours. During the Winter months you will find trails for cross-country skiing and a cozy fireplace to warm up. We recently added an outdoor pizza kitchen to create a wonderful experience for our guests! We are proud that our house has been ranked as the #1 waterfront home in all of Door County on VRBO in the top 50 ranking! Also featured on TripsToDiscover.com as one of the top ten VRBO vacation properties in all of Wisconsin! It includes 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. 3 spacious bedrooms on mail level, including master suite with King Bed (Purple Hybrid 3 mattress with electric base) and in-suite bathroom. Two other bedrooms feature Queen beds and second bathroom on main level. 4th bedroom with 4 twin beds (2 bunk sets) and a full bath upstairs through a spiral staircase. 3 of the bedrooms have panoramic views of the bay and Lake Michigan. We just completed a renovation of the kitchen, newly expanded deck with ping pong table, and plenty of room for entertaining, both bathrooms on first floor along with installing a new HVAC system which adds Central air for the Summer! All mattresses are brand new this year! Leather sofa in living room is a Queen sofa sleeper. We provide 3 kayak’s, 3 paddle boards and one three-person canoe for all guest use. We also have plenty of yard games to enjoy lakeside. On the side of the house we have all boats stored along with a yard bin with multiple games including life size Jenga, Bocci Ball and Bags. The home offers a well appointed, updated kitchen, H/E washer/dryer, 3 decks with lake views, 2 Weber grills, one gas, one charcoal. We do offer a Keurig coffee maker along with a standard Coffee maker as well. Smart TV's in Livingroom, Master and Bunk room with hi-speed wifi, featuring YouTubeTV, along with access to sign into Netflix, Disney Plus, etc…. We also have a selection of movies, books, and family games! This is our own family vacation home, so we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Second stay at this lovely property. Everything pictured is accurate. Home is equipped with all you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Micah provided many great resources for the area. Check-in and out was a breeze, home was clean. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to return again!

We really enjoyed our get-away. All six members of our party agreed that this was a top-notch property. Every room in the house was tastefully appointed and well stocked. That is also true of the outdoor amenities as well. We were provided with clear instructions and guides, and helpful hints and suggestions. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in their lake home, and insure that guests have n enjoyable time.

This VRBO was extremely clean, well kept inside and out and was well stocked from the essentials to all the kitchen supplies you need. All the comforts of home with a beautiful back drop of lake Michigan. Will definitely stay her again.

The house exceeded our expectations.
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few group meals. It was well equipped. We made pizzas one evening in the outdoor pizza oven and they turned out amazing. We rode the bikes around the neighborhood, went fishing, kayaking and played table tennis. We didn't use the kayaks since we had our own, but plan to use them and the paddle boards on our next visit. Everything at the property was top quality. The beds were comfortable and the living room with large TV allowed us to watch football games and a movie from the massive DVD collection. The lake view from the bench by the water is where we had our coffee in the morning. It was truly a wonderful experience. They really thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable.
We did have some bumps in the road. We arrived the day that Rowley's Bay Resort caught fire. We weren't able to get to the property because of firetrucks and then we needed to wait for them to turn the electric back on to the property. Micah had a house lined up for us in case we couldn't get in that evening. It could have been very stressful trying to relocate 7 people, but Micah stayed on top of the situation which allowed us to enjoy an evening watching the sunset.
We look forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful 5 days at the DiSalvo Lake House over Labor Day weekend! The house was very easy to find, minutes drive to Sister Bay for groceries or Ellison Bay for a quieter vibe. Rowley's Bay provided a sheltered area for kayaking which was gorgeous. There is also a nice little county beach park about 2 miles from the house if the kids need some sand to lay in. You can also walk there on a 1 mile wooded trail behind the nearby resort. So much to do here both at the house and the area, could have stayed much longer! Micah was an outstanding host, helping by phone with the pizza oven when we were trying to light it. (The pizzas were great!) We definitely hope to return to DiSalvo Lake House in the future!

My 6 siblings and I enjoyed our stay at your lake house very much! We appreciated all of the "small things" that make a difference (ample paper products, hand/dish/dishwasher soap, bathroom products, bath/kitchen towels, etc.). We would definitely choose to stay there again if we come back to Door County in the future.
Two things we talked about that would enhance one's stay (for consideration)...
Adding screen front and side doors to assist with the bugs coming into the lake house and a firepit.

Our stay at the DiSalvo Lakehouse went beyond our expectations. We had a full house of 12 including 4 grandchildren. There was something for everyone. Biking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, movies, zip lining....we did it all. So wonderful to have a large kitchen and patio for cooking and grilling and the outdoor pizza oven was a hit. We are so thankful the DiSalvo family shared their family vacation home with us. We hope to go back.

Enjoyed our stay in Door County very much. Celebrated turning 70 (or so) with long time friends. Location worked awesome for playing tourist and also for quiet hiking at Newport State Park. Using the pizza oven was a learning curve, but the end result was delicious pizza! Observed eagles every day and lots of miscellaneous shore birds. Home was very well stocked, no need to run to the store. Thank you Micah for sharing your beautiful home!

Excellent experience! One word to describe our stay- hygge! Beautifully updated home while maintaining original charm. Kitchen was perfect for making family meals including loaves of homemade bread. We took full advantage of mild January WI weather (27 degrees)- family walk identifying animal tracks in the snow, skipping stones on the lake, and attempt at morning sunrise (cloudy) sitting on well positioned bench! Indoor time was just as fun- puzzles, cribbage, & board games kept cozy by the natural wood burning fireplace. Very responsive host! Thank you for sharing your family lake home with us DiSalvo Fam!

Our family of five (ages 7 - 70) spent Thanksgiving weekend in the DiSalvo Lakehouse. The kitchen was well stocked making our turkey dinner a success. The view of the lake was lovely. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to groups who like a secluded venue.

We had such a wonderful weekend at the DiSalvo Lakehouse. The house itself was absolutely perfect and totally fit our groups needs. We traveled with 3 kids all under 3 and they had plenty to keep them busy which we appreciated. The hosts thought of everything so we didn’t have to worry about forgetting to pack anything. The area was quiet but close enough to all the fun in Sister Bay. We definitely plan on visiting again!

We had a wonderful week in this home. The area is quiet and relaxing, and the water view of Lake Michigan was beautiful. We made dinner most nights, and the kitchen was well-stocked with pots, pans, utensils, toaster, coffee makers, etc. Great home, and we would absolutely stay here again if given the opportunity. We all enjoyed our stay. The home is very well equipped with everything you need. The lakeside location is spectacular. The red chairs are so comfortable and deck with grill and ping pong table make outdoor living so nice. All our needs were met and we loved our vacation at the VRBO. The beds are so comfortable. We never turned on our TV but the kids enjoyed the large TV and selections from Grandpa Bobs video collection. I would recommend this home for a great vacation.

Excellent Option for Family Vacation
We had a wonderful experience at this property. It was extremely clean and accessible for every person in our group ranging in age from 12-82.
Overall, the home feels like many happy memories have been made there and we added to that with a great family vacation and many happy memories for our family.
Many amenities, kitchen has excellent assortment of pans and tools, quality appliances.
Serene setting with gorgeous views from nearly every room. Ideal outdoor spaces with plenty of chairs. We loved the bench out by the water.
The communication was great. We didn't have any needs or specific questions while we were there, as everything is well marked and in good order.

Lovely home!
Lovely home with plenty to do inside and outside the house. Between napping on very comfortable beds, playing ping pong, lounging in the hammock, watching the pelicans, our family had a wonderful time. We eat in Sister Bay in addition to grilling meals at the house. We all wished the week hadn't come to an end!

A lovely up to date property. A place to lie back while you slowly swing side to side in a hammock that literally overlooks the water. Total relaxation! My family and I had a great time with full accommodations, lots of entertainment, kayaks, canoe, games, outdoor ping pong, nearby restaurants (12-minute drive) and more. Lots of good fishing too! A great stay!!!

We had a great time staying here! It was such a great cabin and fit our group of 10 really well with bedding and seating, the beds were all extremely comfortable. The only thing to be aware of is we were hoping to spend more time outside but there was an excessive amount of mosquitos making it not comfortable to be outside, this may be related to the time of year in late May and the cooler weather.

Lovely setting and accommodations and a great place for our sisters get together. The timing of our stay was a slight problem as we were there when the May flies were breeding along the coastline, but we still enjoyed ourselves.
