Quiet 4 Bedrm Condo 7 Blocks to Yellowstone 2 to Rendezvous or Snowmobiletrails
About this house rental
Located in West Yellowstone, this attractive house for $523 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Our spacious three level fully equipped townhouse is nestled in the heart of one of the most spectacular and exciting mountain regions in the world! Yellowstone National Park with all its thermal features, wildlife and more is just a few blocks away. Drive in your own car, snowmobile, take a snowcoach or tour bus, or ski, bike or hike the park. In winter, groomed snowmobile trails (five trailheads within eight blocks, one right in front of the townhouses) lead to unbelievable mountain vistas. Deep powder riding, trail touring on 600 miles of expertly groomed trails, steep mountain high-marking, thousands of square miles of wide open roller coaster back country bush-whacking, and unforgettable photo opportunities beckon. Food and refreshment spots run by friendly mountain locals are hidden all along the trails. Then after an exhilarating ride back to town, the townhouse welcomes you with Direct TV, fiber optic WIFI and a full kitchen in which to rustle up some grub. Or, head a few blocks downtown (snowmobiles are allowed on most streets) to sample a wide assortment of fine restaurants, watering holes, casinos and more. Don't stay out too late as an overnight snowfall will bring a new day of adventure (There are over 14 days worth of snowmobile destinations to ensure you never get tired of the riding!). Summer visitors have a multitude of choices each day also. Besides visiting the wonders of Yellowstone, the following are some not to be missed sights, all within about 125 miles of the lodgings: I-MAX Theatre, Grizzly and Wolf Center, Museum of the Yellowstone, rodeos and more, all within blocks of the townhouse, Hebgen Lake, Sawtell Mountain road above the clouds, Big Sky Ski Hill and Gondola Ride, Centennial valley and Red Rock Wildlife Refuge along with Elk Lake Camp, Madison River, Gravelley Range Road auto tour, Virginia City gold mining town, Lewis and Clark Caverns, Rexberg sand dunes, Jackson Wyoming, Beartooth Highway, 1957 Earthquake Memorial and many more. West Yellowstone is also at the epicenter of possibly the finest fly-fishing area in the country. The Madison River, Henry's Lake, Henry's Fork of the Snake, Firehole River, Yellowstone Lake, Hebgen Lake, Wade Lake, Cliff Lake and many more are all in close proximity. Fishing shops in town have gear, advice and guides. Be sure to try your hand at catching a lunker! Keywords: Townhouse

We had an amazing time Nordic skiing in West – the place was awesome – just a short walk away!

This property was a great place to base our Yellowstone vacation from. The location is on the edge of town in a quieter area but so close to downtown restaurants and shops and so many other activities. The entrance to the park was also very convenient. The property owner provided several alternative activities in the area outside the park that easily could have made wonderful entertaining experiences and were as close or closer than much of the park. We really enjoyed our stay.

Just what was needed for a place to rest/relax after all our adventures. Thanks.

The property was well maintained with comfortable common areas. The basement bedrooms were somewhat cramped and dark. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.

The condo slept our family of 9 very comfortably. We appreciated the laundry facilities and kitchen amenities.

This was a great place to land and re-fuel for ski racers and also a comfortable spot to host happy hours and Thanksgiving Dinner. Not fancy but all needs met.

I would stay there again

The property is dated, but clean comfortable and very well stocked. It is in a quiet part of West Yellowstone, but with easy access to YNP. This unit is in a group of 8 condos, and is located on the back (east) side of the buildings. It was a little hard to locate in the dark.

Great Location
The condo is in a great location to the park entrance. It is an older condo, but it has every you need. It is 3 stories and a nice area out front to sit and relax.

Super close to main street and far enough away
My family was very happy with the amenities, Thank you for providing everything we would have needed. A quick suggestion that sheets and towels the cows be washed before next guests.

Everything was described as in pictures and description.
One outlet in each plug by fireplace and front door didn't seem to work.
Movie selection had no recognizable titles.
TV and cable was great. Puzzles and games available.
Fridge, oven, stove, microwave and coffee maker all work fine. Good selection of kitchen ware.
Water pressure and Temperature was good.
It's a comfy place to come back to after a day of exploring the park or town. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Great house! We had 10 people and everyone had a bed. Perfect location for walking or driving to town and very close to the west entrance of the park. My one and only small negative was there was not enough hot water for everyone to shower.

This is a good, basic, no frills town home. It was clean, except in corners (typical of most all VRBOs and hotels), the beds (that we used) were comfortable, and it had what we needed for cooking breakfasts. There are lots of beds, 2 full baths, but not enough room in the living areas (living room and kitchen table) for all of the people the beds support. That wasn't a problem for us as we were just 2 couples. The downstairs/basement rooms would be great for kids, but not for more than one couple as there isn't a door between the two bedrooms and you have to walk through one room to get to the bathroom. The location is very convenient to walking downtown and for going into Yellowstone. It isn't a pretty location though, as it is basically in a parking lot. Luckily it snowed while we were there, so the snow made everything pretty. Be sure to bring cards or other entertainment with you - we left a puzzle we bought so that might still be available. The fireplace is a wood burning fireplace and works quite well. There was firewood outside for us to use. The owner always responded quickly to questions. If you are looking for luxury or a view, this isn't your place, but If you just need a place for a lot of people to bunk down for a few nights that is super convenient to the West Yellowstone entrance, this fits the bill.

Lodge pole review
The rental was very close to Yellowstone park and to town. Beautiful area.

West Yellowstone is small - this was an easy walk to the 'downtown' section. Very easy access to the Yellowstone entrance. While the layout wasn't the best for two couples, it worked.
This is our first experience with using a VRBO, and there was a little confusion related to West Yellowstone taxes, but everything worked out and we enjoyed our stay.
Will use VRBO in the future.

This property was very near the gate of West entrance to Yellowstone. The large downstairs has 5 beds in two rooms, but no doors for those rooms. Great for kids, a little awkward for adults. Great washing machine and dryer, kitchen well stocked, fireplace ( we didn't use). The WiFi was very intermittent, so don't count on it. The home is a little dated, but we had a very nice time and it was a great gateway to the park. The town of West Yellowstone is very touristy, but there are plenty of places to eat and shop.

As you can see from the photos, this is an older condo. With that, comes a lot of older-home issues such as vast temperature differences between the upstairs and basement bedrooms, thinner walls between you and the other units, etc. While the owner is super nice and very responsive, there are a lot of cosmetic and some functional issues that need to be addressed.
During our stay, we had trouble with the hot water. We had very little, if any of it. The owner had someone take a look at it during our stay, so it improved towards the end, although you still needed to constantly turn up the heat while showering.
The WiFi is also very slow, if you can even get a reliable connection.
The sprinklers run between 6:00 and 6:45 am, so you'll get briefly soaked if you leave early for Yellowstone.
If you are looking for something older/cheaper and do not mind the quirks of an older place, then this place is for you. We are not accustomed to that and did not enjoy our stay.

First of all, this is a great location. Just a few minutes from the west entrance of Yellowstone. However, if I had to do it again, I would want to stay closer to North entrance. Second, the property certainly needs some TLC. The wi-fi didn't work at all. The Water heater gave hot water for a couple of minutes and then the rest of us needed to take a shower with cold water. The outside lawn had a lot of weed overgrowth. The owner was very responsive however and responded quickly by text and phone call.

Marty's place, though on the outskirts of West Yellowstone, was super convenient to the West gate. The house is great for families with many kids with room for 5 sleepers in the basement. The kitchen is decently equipped and the table seats 6. Some desired amenities were missing for example soap in the showers. Though some things in the unit could use updating (carpets show their age) we would consider staying here again on our next Yellowstone visit.
