Loved our stay at this unit. Incredible ocean views from Lanai (better than I expected based on the photos). We were a group of six and had plenty of space. 15-minute walk to Napili beach, one of our favourite beaches on the island. Every day we saw lots of turtles swimming in the cove or sunning on the shore. The unit also stayed a nice comfortable temperature for our entire stay. Property managers were always friendly and responsive. We would love to return to this unit in future.

We enjoyed everything about this property, starting with location: amazing location with great snorkeling and sea turtles steps away, ocean views from main living space, pool and lawn visible from lanai, walk to Napili and Kapalua, near-daily rainbows in December. The unit: updated interiors with fun, beachy decor, ninja blender and daily smoothies, puzzles, games, beach chairs, one snorkel set, great small kitchen with everything you need, plenty of hooks to keep towels try, comfortable beds and bedding, wonderfully placed lounge furniture to enjoy the view. Lovely staff and guests! Our stay was the best, and we hope to return in the future!

It is a intimate and beautiful compound of low rise buildings in a semi circle around a pool with ocean vistas. I have never seen so may turtles as I did in the small bay. Clean, modern, and spacious. We had a very lovely stay and would come again.

we had a group of friends stay here, and our local friends recommended Napili for the beaches. The condo was impeccable and had everything we needed. Even a few loaner chairs and float noodles which were so great to have. Loved the sea turtles everyday and the tiki torches at night with sunset. Just a perfect spot, beach access is a few minutes walk around to the next bay, otherwise enjoy the rocky Honokeana Bay perfect for swimming, snorkeling and paddleboarding. Wish we could have stayed forever.

We knew what the unit would look like based upon the Management companies Website & virtual tour. It was everything we had hoped for. Super clean, newly remodeled & tastefully done. Very comfortable. TV is a bit overwhelming to control, but finally figured it out. One note as with most of the units at the Cove, traffic noise outside is an issue. You will be sleeping with all the windows open & can hear everything.

We stayed at Honeakana Cove, unit 209 for 11 nights. It was out second visit to Maui and we will never stay anywhere else! The condo sits on the most beautiful cove where dozens of sea turtles live. The best snorkeling on Maui is in your backyard! Napili Beach (my favorite on Maui) is just a 5 minute walk. You are minutes from Kapalua, the blow hole, Two tiered pools, etc. Napili Market is just a few blocks away - a fantastic market with everything you will need after your Costco run. Su at front desk is EXCEPIONAL!!! We forgot fathers day cards and I stopped in the office to ask for some blank paper for my boys to make cards - and she gave us her handmade cards that are just beatiful. Unit 209 is perfect in every way - well stocked and simply/tastefully decorated. We floated on tubes and watched the sunset most nights. Grills are great too - I thought we would eat out more but we didnt want to leave the cove, so we grilled in most nights. This place is exceptional!!!! Thank you, Honokeana Cove for such a lovely vacation!

We had a wonderful time. Sue and Betty couldn't have been more accommodating. The condo we had was outdated, but we were informed of that prior to making our reservation, which was appreciated greatly. It is our understanding that it will be updated soon. This corner location had the most spectacular view and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. We saw whales everyday, turtles sunbathed right in front of us. The snorkeling and paddle boarding was wonderful. We even had a race from the opening of the cove to the shore! Definitely a vacation to remember!

Snorkeling with Turtles
We love this location as a low key condo where you can walk out and snorkel with turtles or watch them napping on the beach. We saw a lot of great fish as well. The staff was vey help full and willing to address any problems we had. 2 light switches needed fixing and the next day they were replace. We look forward to staying here for another family vacation in the future.

I have been staying here for more than 20 years. This unit has been just sold and is not in the usual high quality of the other units. I do believe that the new owners are going to make new improvements. The size of the unit is great for a family or 2 couples. I no longer care to climb stairs so I usually rent a lower unit. I was lucky to get a unit at all, so I was just happy to be here in this lovely setting. I will be back again next year.

Honokeana Cove was exactly what we were looking for. Property was beautiful, well maintained, staff were helpful and friendly. Unit #209 left us disappointed with the unit only! It apparently is in escrow and lets hope the new owners clean it up and update it appropriately. We knew it was in rough shape when we booked, but it really is in rough rough shape!!!!! We did not let the unit spoil our stay at Honokeana and we certainly hope to return in the future. We would recommend Honokeana; although we would not recommend this unit until it is overhauled.

For over 20 years we have been renting from this complex and never once have we been disappointed! When we arrive at Honokeana Cove it feels like we are going home to visit family. The warm welcoming vibe extends from the office ladies, the manager, and the cleaning crew. We had four families staying at the cove and all of us were extremely pleased with the condos we rented. We will be back as soon as possible.

Not too fancy but comfortable in a terrific location on a cove full of turtles and lovely fish. Hard to find this level on the coast which has enormous complexes that are newer and more expensive but pretty generic and far more expensive. This place is like home-- quirky. Some units more up-to-date than others. The one we rented needs an upgrade but was fine for our family. We could cook for ourselves--there are three gas grills for guests. Hard to beat!

This was our 4th stay at At the Cove. It is such a beautiful, peaceful ,tranquil place. The grounds are immaculate and gorgeous. See you at the front desk is amazing. Unfortunately hurricane Lane decided to pay us a visit during our stay. Sue in the office was fabulous in keeping us informed and working with us. We cannot thank Sillen Knouff for all of her help . Location was amazing, looked out over the pool, grounds and beautiful cove. Unit is very spacious but needs complete renovation. Booked as a 3 bedroom but really a 2 bedroom with a loft. Nasty carpet, wallpaper falling down, beds and furniture all need to be changed out. Swimming with turtles made up for the unit, but for the price it needs to be renovated.

We have stayed at Honokeana Cove in the past. It is a family destination in a great West Maui location. The best asset is the private snorkeling cove with many resident sea turtles. While this is an older property the units are generally well maintained and clean. The staff are also very accommodating and make you feel like family. We find the second floor loft units offer a great value for the number of bedrooms and space. On our latest visit in June 2018, we stayed in unit 209 and found it clean but several years overdue for a major renovation. The flooring was well worn and in need of replacing, as was the furniture and kitchen appliances. The chairs and sofa were so uncomfortable that we sat on side pillows to add some cushion. The electrical switches in the kitchen had to be in a midway position to turn on sink light. The entire unit was also over-decorated with island souvenirs and art. There were 3 TVs in the unit, but we could have used printed instructions to operate the digital TV and DVD player. In all we enjoyed our stay, and had a great vacation at Honokeana Cove. We just want others to be aware to ask about the upgrade status of any units they are planning to rent.

While the furniture is dated and there are water stains on the mattresses and ceiling in the smaller bedroom, the location can not be beat. I would imagine not having AC in the summer months would be a problem but during the winter it was perfect as is.
