About this house rental
Nestled in Carlsbad, this attractive house for $361 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Adorable remodeled bungalow located close to all! The kitchen has nice white cabinetry with granite counter tops. Sparkling bathroom with tile surround and flooring. Bedrooms have cozy mattresses on the beds for a good nights sleep. 2 queen size beds and a pull out sofa allows for up to 5 guests. Wood flooring through out the house and modern furnishings for that clean look. We have free WiFi should you feel the need to check your email or need to catch up on work while here. The backyard is spacious and equipped with a BBQ grill, firepit and dining set for 6 so you can enjoy our beautiful Southern California weather year round. There are seasonal fruit trees, a vegetable garden with herbs for your convenience. The backyard is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. 2 cool hammock lounges for an afternoon nap or just soaking up the sun. We have 4 adult beach cruisers a childs bike (we do not provide helmets and it is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to ride without a helmet so please bring one if needed), a wagon, beach chairs and sand toys in the garage for your use. Our home is located on a quiet neighborhood street and is walkable to beaches, coffee shops, markets, restaurants and nightlife or feel free to take the beach bikes in the garage to Carlsbad Village for shopping and more beaches and restaurants. Oceanside Pier is only 2 miles away. Take a sunset walk down the long wooden pier to see the fishermen pulling in the nights catch. There is a playground on the sand by the pier for vacationing children and lots of fun things to do. The choices are endless when staying at this wonderful home. It was our second vacation at Debbie's property and like our first time,communication with Debbie is excellent.The house is very well taken care of,inside and outside.The backyard is private,comfortable and quiet.The location for us is perfect,close to the beach,the highway(101 and I-5)and downtown Oceanside and Carlsbad.There is a grocery store nearby with a great selection of fresh coffee beans.It is very peaceful neighborhood and the neighbour's are friendly.We hope to be back soon.

What a great house and awesome location. Loved the surfer vibe of the house. The beds were comfortable and the backyard was really nice and chill. They also included surfboards and other beach accessories. Would defiantly stay again.

Our stay was excellent. Debbie provided all necessary information prior to check in. The check in process was very easy and there is ample room for a family. The beach and many restaurants are within walking distance. We happened to have great weather for our mid-February stay. We’re looking forward to another visit to South O and hope to stay here again.

Lovely location, quaint and lovely home
Even despite a mild hiccup, Debbie went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. I highly recommend. Close to a number of good restaurants and even a small grocery store all within walking distance.

We had a wonderful time! It was perfect for our family of 3 and we hope to stay there again (fingers crossed it’s available next time we visit.) I loved the garden! We enjoyed a couple cherry tomatoes, pears, and peaches! So fun! We didn’t get to use the firepit but I really hope to next time!

Wonderful place in South Oceanside!
Our stay at Debbie's house in South Oceanside exceeded our expectations. Debbie was quick to respond throughout our trip and even brought us some extra kitchen supplies when we first arrived. The house is as advertised and the location was amazing with easy access to restaurants and the beach. We were very sad to leave and would love to stay again!

Cozy Little Bungalow
This little bungalow was perfect for what we were looking for! There were a total of 5 of us and it fit us perfectly. House had all the essentials so we were able to make all of our meals with no hassle. Debbie and John were so easy to communicate with! The house does not have AC but that wasn't too big of an issue, and we stayed during Labor Day weekend with the extreme heat wave (95+ degrees!). One of the fans they provided was not working upon arrival and they were kind enough to buy a new fan and deliver it the same day! That was so nice of them! The backyard is very nice and relaxing and a great place to sit and hang out. Would stay here again!

Excellent Stay!
We enjoyed a family vacation and this home was a great choice. Communication with owner was fantastic and the property was very clean and inviting. Quiet neighborhood along with a garage to park our car was a nice option. All amenities in great working order and we enjoyed evenings playing with our kiddos in the spacious back yard and after they went to bed, wine time for us in the back was a nice way to end a fun day at the beach. Highly recommend this rental!

Perfect home for a Beach Getaway
The house is just the right size for a perfect vacation. There were just two of us but four would be easily accommodated (more if necessary). Everything you need is there. The back yard is wonderful with flowering bushes and inviting chairs. The location is great. The closest beach is about a half mile walk but you can drive part way. There are several beaches close by. Finally, the hosts were extremely helpful and pleasant.

Fall Break Trip Oceanside
We had a lovely time staying here! We ate breakfast in the beautiful backyard. Packed up our lunch and headed to the beach every day. Then cleaned off the sand and headed out to the street fair in Oceanside and other great restaurants each evening. Debbie was the perfect host and her beach house lived up to our expectations! All in all, a great memory!!

Great for a family getaway
We enjoyed our stay here, it worked out great for our family. The location was great and it was so nice to have a yard to relax in while the kids played. It was a short drive to LEGOLand and there were close beaches and restaurants. We really appreciated that there was beach gear available for us to borrow. We would definitely stay here again.

This property made our first trip 10 months ago such an awesome time we came back and are planning on going back again.
The home is Clean and Spacious, the Backyard adds for hours of fun..

Bungalow in Oceanside
In the Wizard of Oz movie, when Dorothy said "there's no place like home", she had never stayed at this home in Oceanside!! It is comfortable, located in a quiet neighborhood, and provides easy access to attractions in Oceanside and the greater San Diego area. Debbie was responsive to our inquiries. We look forward to returning.

Great little vacation spot
We really enjoyed this cute house and all the amenities. It was a great place to stay with small kids (we have three). It was close to beaches, we easily visited a different one each day. So nice to have the boogie boards, beach chairs and cooler. Loved the local recommendations of restaurants and things to do. Also great to have the washer and dryer. Loved having breakfast in the backyard, such a cute hangout spot! We weren't prepared for the lack of a/c. It was pretty hot in the house when we arrived. It was okay with all the windows open and fans running but then tended to be a bit loud at night with traffic and train noise. Overall I would recommend this house to anyone coming to the area. Owners really care about the property and are attentive to your needs.

We had a great week in Oceanside, and really enjoyed the house, the amenities and the location!
First, Debbie, our host was very attentive and helpful and very kind to us.
We loved the house. It was very clean, and we very quickly created routines as if this was our own house, and that is actually the best recommendation that you can give. The kitchen had all the stuff that you could even imagine using, and the washer and dryer next to the kitchen were simply perfect. Furthermore, the garage, which can be reached by the backside of the house, was good and spacious.
The location of the house was also perfect. We made a lot of trips north- and southbound and then it is very convenient with the highway only .3 miles from the house.
And finally, some suggestions; we visited Don’s country kitchen a couple of times. A great experience with good breakfast and a very sweet staff.
Further, if you enjoy walking take a trip to Carlsbad, in fact that is closer than to the center of Oceanside. Stunning views and good restaurants.
Debbie left a full book of good suggestion for things to do and places to see.
We will come back if we are in that neighborhood again.

Amazing property and stay...and great suppprt from start to finish by Debbie!
We had a WONDERFUL visit...the property is beautiful, had all supplies we could have wanted, and is close to everything! We loved having coffee and a glass of wine in the back yard...hammocks were super comfy...and the bikes, cooler and beach towels came in very handy! So cool to walk to get coffee, breakfast, dinner, drinks...and to be at the pier in Oceanside or in San Diego with just a short drive. And my teenage son really appreciated the tv/WiFi access to be able to watch the World Cup soccer matches and play a few video games at night..and we all enjoyed watching movies! Thanks Debbie for a great stay...we’ll definitely be back!!

Wonderful Stay in Oceanside, CA
This was our first experience with using VRBO, and it was an awesome. This home was wonderful, and the homeowners made us feel right at home. It was located in a quiet neighborhood, and had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation, and make us feel at home. The beach cruiser bicycles, boogie boards, chairs, and accessories for the beach were a definite plus. Riding the bicycles from the house on the bike trails to the beach was awesome. We rate this stay as Excellent and would highly recommend it. Thank you to the Rumsey's for making our stay a memorable one.

Quaint Realxing Homebase
Everything listed and pictured on this home is exactly true. Very relaxing spot for those in between events if you are on vacation. It has everything you need regardless if it is a short or extended stay. Our 4 year old loved the backyard he didn’t want to go home, we were there for his 5th bday. Legoland and the beach are conveniently located and there are many options for eating in the thriving South O or Carlsbad Village. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing space with original hardwood floors that creak! You will not be disappointed book it!

Fantastic bungalow
We had a great stay at this 2 BR bungalow about a 10-15 minute walk from the beach (it depends on how eager the kids are!) in April. Clean property with all the amenities of home, including a washer and dryer. We especially loved the fenced in back yard complete with picnic table and fire pit. Would whole-heartedly recommend this place for anyone staying in Oceanside.

Staying here made our vacation perfect. The house had everything we needed and was super comfortable. Beaches, shops and restaurants were all nearby. Debbie was very helpful when we had payment questions. We can highly recommend this destination.
