Nice property and great location. However, it can get quite noisy if there is a large event in town. Nonetheless I enjoyed it!

This is located in a great area of the city and a quick walk to the french quarter and resturants in the warehouse area. Even though we were on the 6th floor I have to say that it was noisy in the evening and night time. Trucks seem to be delivering to the hotel next door and for some reason are backing up (with the beeps) all through the night. Not a big problem for me, but a light sleeper might not think the same.

The accommodations were good and accessible. We enjoyed our stay.

I love this place. The location is perfect for whatever you want to do. The streetcars are close. The ferry is close. The restaurants and jazz clubs are close. Being across the street from The Ruby Slipper makes for an easy and amazing breakfast. Mother’s Restaurant is a five minute walk for New Orleans favorites and Nesbit’s corner store is two minutes on foot for drinks, snacks, the morning paper, etc.
The inside is great with a fun kitchen and a hot shower. I didn’t want to get out of bed it was so comfy! It is nice having laundry facilities and the rooftop patio definitely got some use. The security of the place is top notch. I always feel safe.
You do get the sounds of the city but that comes with the location. Frankly, I enjoy hearing the calliope on the river boats and the occasional train coming through a few blocks away. It adds ambiance.
This was my second year here and I plan on booking again for next year. It’s just the perfect time to be in New Orleans and you can’t beat this VRBO.!

The unit had a couple of issues when i stayed. Shower leaks through the door. The countertop is broken around the kitchen faucet. There was a very small amount of refuse about and food in the oven, but they were changing cleaning companies. The place overall was great though even despite the small issues and the location was fantastic. I'd go back for sure.

Great location but needs some updates
Location was great and felt very safe with locked entry. It could use some updates. TV would not connect to internet and shower head had minimal water pressure. Check in was super easy and contact free. Even given the above I would still stay here again.

So bad, we left and rented a room at the hotel across the street. Super noisy block and the unit had rickety old windows (complete with peeled paint) that did no soundproofing. Awful shower pressure, dirty door, saggy mattress, kitchen sink was cracked at base and it wobbled. A dog wouldn’t even want to sit on the concrete hard couch. The block is dark and scary at night. Find another place.

Good... enough
Overall, the room was very cute and the location was fantastic. Although, there were definitely some issues.
First, the lack of cleanliness. The floors didn't seem swept or mopped, the counter had debris on it, and there was a half full daiquiris left in the freezer... It's almost as if our room didn't get cleaned. Luckily, the bathroom and bedroom were clean and there were 2 extra sets of clean sheets (the bed was incredibly comfortable as well).
As far as amenities, the description includes both a washer and dryer, yet the dryer was completely broken. The top panel was literally missing - no nob, no start button, nothing. Luckily, our stay was short enough we didn't need to wash clothes, but god forbid if not!
And my last comment is for the pull out couch that does not indeed serve it's purpose. The couch pulls out such as a trundle does, essentially creating a bed, yet the "trundle" part does not stay risen. Therefore, you can't sleep 2 people there even though the condo advertises it can sleep up to 4. Not to mention, it was unbelievably uncomfortable, unbelievably.
My boyfriend and I are not particular picky people, so we still enjoyed our stay mostly because the defects really didn't pertain to our needs for our 2 night stay, though I felt it was necessary to tell the public of the said issues.

There were two issues and they were minor in that the couch was uncomfortable and the television would not connect to the network to be able to watch Netflix on our last night.
We were smack dab in the middle of the city it seemed. Short walks put you on bourbon street, canal street, or at the. Casino.
The Garden District was a leisurely 2 mile stroll through old neighborhoods. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but I would recommend that the couch be replaced and that the network/tv connectivity issue be resolved(important as it was our last night, we did not report the issue to the property).

We loved our stay at this property and would stay again in a heartbeat. It was priced well, was just like the photos and was within walking distance of everything French Quarter located. Only thing I could suggest (and it wasn't a deal breaker on staying at this location again) is a black out curtain in the bedroom. The sun is blinding in the morning and if you are trying to sleep in at all it is almost impossible (we did get use to it). One thing to mention, in full transparency to others who might think of staying here, is that the rooms looking out at Magazine street will get to hear the music from the restaurant across the street. The Ruby Slipper starts playing loud music when they open and you can here them calling names for reservations. I know the property owners can't control that but again, if you are wanting to sleep in, bring ear plugs (I'll know for next time).

Great location. Few blocks from bourbon. The AC didn’t work properly the apartment didn’t cool down for the majority of my stay. The TV wasn’t working probably it wouldn’t connect to internet. Couch was extremely uncomfortable.

Absolutely loved the place and the location was great. If you’re not used to New Orleans, expect noise, but I’d previously stayed in the city before so I knew that was a thing regardless.
You can see plenty of other reviews talking about the couch; they are all correct. It’s horrible, and other than some low stools for the table, not many other places to sit.
The place had decent amenities, but we came in to a very dirty floor, and cobwebs (MASSIVE ones) in one corner. There was also some stains on the pillow cases unfortunately.
You can definitely tell it’s a company ran place versus privately owned, but if all you cared about is your proximity in a decent place and you’re not -too- picky about clean stuff, it’s good.

Prior reviews warned about “The couch from hell”. And boy were they not kidding! A homeless person living under a bridge would decline ownership of this piece of furniture. The sad part is that even with all the bad reviews about it, the Owner does nothing about it. So do NOT rent this place! I can go on for hours describing its condition, but it will only bore you. The rest of the furniture will remind you of your first college apartment. The kitchen sink countertop is broken, and the faucet moves side to side. Dishwasher doesn’t work, Refrigerator has no light inside. The toilet is extremely loose and becomes an amusement park ride when in use.
There are two good qualities to this place. The location and safety. But there would be no way we would ever stay here again. And its sad because it wouldn’t take a huge amount of money for the owner to correct the issues. We own a VRBO in SC and would be mortified if our place was rented out in this condition.

Great Location
It was a great location. I would say the noise through the windows was the only down fall. The windows need to be sealed up better very loose in the slot . They won’t come out but you can tell what the temperature outside is by feeling the breeze through the windows.

Good except for cab dropping us off a mile away to walk with our luggage due to parade. And the price was way too high.

Great location
Fabulous location just steps from the French Quarter BUT their was not a comfortable place to sit. The couch was horrible-very uncomfortable and after a long day of sightseeing this was a big problem. The rooftop area was delightful and we sat up there until the weather forced us inside. I would love to recommend this place to friends but can’t because comfortable places to sit are crucial.

The bed was the worst bed I’ve ever slept in. The sofa should be thrown away. Single pane windows.
After researching many properties, we picked the wrong one! Loud, uncomfortable and not very clean. We won’t be back!

Merchant Lofts
My son and I rented room 602 in the merchant lofts on magazine st. We were very happy with the room and it's location. It was very easy to walk to many of the fantastic sights. Sitting on the roof and watching the traffic on the Mississippi in the morning was awesome. The loft was clean and just the right size for us. Loved having a place to do our laundry. The only problem that we encountered was the seating. The couch was very uncomfortable for both sitting and sleeping on. It would have been nice to have an armchair for other seating. Other than that, I would recommend this property.

Well organized experience
This space worked out great for our week-long stay in NOLA. Convenient, well-organized management, spacious. Only caveat: really uncomfortable couch!!! Had a few conversations in the elevator with other guests and it sounds like all were furnished with the same model. Other than that, highly recommended ;->

Great loft!
Loft style condo was beautiful! We loved the exposed brick walls and kitchen was large and very accommodating. Access to the roof was perfect for a morning cup of joe. The location was perfect as well. Great breakfast cafe' right across the street was very convenient. Only complaints for us would be the couch (it was not comfortable to sit on or comfortable for our guest to sleep on) and floors could've been a bit cleaner (we noticed dirt and hair around kitchen bar). We also didnt receive check-in instructions, so I had to call and get them but the staff was very accommodating and sent it right away and we actually were able to check-in a bit early, which was nice. We really enjoyed this condo and will definitely keep it in mind for our next trip to the big easy!

Loud
Don’t stay here if you’re a light sleeper. Good location, lots of street noise. Also, the couch is terrible and there’s no interior door lock. Just the keypad lock on the outside.

Fun place to stay
This is a fun place to stay. Great location. There is a restaurant directly across the street. There are other great restaurants within two blocks. You are one block for Canal Street and the street cars. You are about three blocks from the River walk, which might be too close if your wife likes to shop. You are two blocks from Harrah's casino.
We enjoyed sitting in the living room and watching the ships traveling on the river.
There is access to the roof so you can sit and see the city.
We did have some issue but the management company was very quick to come up with a resolution. I recommend if you have any issues to immediately contact the management company. They were very responsive to our calls.
We can wait to get back to New Orleans.

Overall, we were VERY happy with our stay!
Had a great experience and would stay here again! Convenient location at walking distance to lots near by and we had an 8yr old with us. Our unit was right on the street so yes it was a bit loud, but helped us get up and moving around early to not waste any part of our days sleeping. I look forward to staying here again when we visit!

Great location but prepare for street noise
We had units 602 and 603 since we traveled with another couple. 602 had a larger kitchen and living area but was a corner unit so had much more street noise. If noise is an issue for you would suggest a unit towards the back, 603-606. Unit 602 had a great view though through the huge windows and a much nicer kitchen with a full island. We brought ear plugs and ran the bathroom fan for some white noise which helped.
The units appear to have been recently remodeled and were in great shape. Only a couple complaints with the beds. Only queen size beds in bedrooms which are really too small to sleep comfortably for two people. The fitted sheets were also too small and would not stay down over the corners of the beds. There is a sofa sleeper in the living room but did not appear to be enough bedding for it, only one flat sheet and one extra comforter provided. The bathroom in 603 could have benefited from a waste can. Only 4 washcloths and towels provided but they do have washer/dryers in unit with soap pods so could wash if needed. Unit 602 seemed to have a smaller hot water heater and it ran a little shy on hot water on some morning showers. 603 had a larger heater and this was not an issue.
Other benefits: Coffee with powdered creamer and sugar in kitchens, washer/dryer in units, nice selection of spices, right across street from Ruby Slipper and around corner from Mothers for breakfast/lunch. Canal street was a block away and could be seen from the units. Nice roof top terrace with tables if the weather is warm. Was a short walk to river, French Quarter, WW2 museum, trolley stops etc. Excellent location if you don't want a car. We used Uber when we wanted to venture further away and it was easy and reasonable.
We would definitely stay here again if they upgrade to king beds. Otherwise the queen bed situation is probably a no go for us.
