Wows you from the the entry and on! Can't even imagine how this would be in the winter! This is a mountain dream home! Custom built, so many little extras you don't see except in a custom home! Truly hope to stay again, but for personal use vs work!

This house worked really well for our multi-generational family stay. We were in town for a wedding at High Camp and the location was amazing. Also great for the skiers in the group since they could ski out the door. The layout worked very well and pictures were accurate. The management team replied promptly to all my inquiries. Beautiful!

The pictures were not representative, broken board with sharp edge sticking out from a bunk bed, all the carpets turned up at corners creating trip hazards, mice openly running around, garbage left on the deck from the ;ast guests or cleaning crew that our guests had to put in the dumpster. I could go on and on. We have rented on VRBO for many years and have always had good experiences, but when you rent from a management company and not an individual there is a greater chance for a bad experience and we got it. This place is not worth the money and was a huge disappointment. We had friends with us and we all left after one night, leaving a house we spent a LOT of money on. What does THAT tell you? I would avoid this place like the plague, such a disappointment and ruined the potential trip of a lifetime.

Booked a 4-night stay for the annual family ski trip! My brother and I drove up with our wives, parents, and young children in 2 SUVs ( Ranger rover defender all-wheel drive 2022 w/ snow tires and front wheel chains & BMW X5 2022 all-wheel drive w/ reg tires and front wheel chains) last week. It had started snowing at 4 pm, with about 4- 6 inches of snow on the ground. Once we attempted to drive up Granite Chief Rd neither SUV could make it up to the property.
We had to carry the children and loads of luggage up the road 300 yards. Both our parents slipped and fell trying to walk up the road. The kids and wives were traumatized.
My brother and I unload the cars with over 10 trips up and down the roads from 6 pm - 10 pm.
This was the hellish start of our luxury ski vacation. We had to abandon the cars down the road, on the neighbor's driveways out of necessity (we are very sorry!)
When the road and driveway were plowed the next morning at 8 am we were able to get the cars up with difficulty. The snow was on and off for the next 3 days and since we could only reliably and safely come and go from the house when it was plowed our wives, kids, and parents were stuck in the cabin and felt unsafe and trapped.
We left 1 day early as soon as it stopped snowing in the AM and the road was plowed!
I have skied in Tahoe for the past 20 years, and we are not new to snow storms or driving in snow. At this $$$ need on-demand plow service or refund policy.

We just spent a week at this house over our children's winter break and we had an awesome time!
Our group included three families with a total of 12 people of which 6 were children ages ranging from 4-20y. There was more than enough room for everyone to sleep and lounge around without crowding each other, and there was no shortage of things to do in and around the house. We spent one week there and not once did any child say they were bored. =).
The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, dishes and basic pantry items. Cooking for 12 people was not a problem here.
The house was well stocked with toiletries and the owners were very responsive to any additional needs that may arise. Communication was also great. I received multiple check-ins during our stay to make sure everything was going great.
The location was great for the skiers and snowboarders as the back of the house is basically on the trail down to the village. The hill was only a little intimidating for our 4y old, but she made it. Otherwise, very short walk down to the village.
Only advice is that the house is on a rather steep hill that can get a lot of snow and can become icy, so 4-wheel drive with snow tires or chains would be highly recommended during the winter months.
Would definitely stay here again!

The property worked very well for us as a family gathering hub for our son’s wedding in the Olympic Village area. The properly was well described which was a key to reserving it almost a year before our stay. The size of the kitchen (big stove with two ovens and two dishwashers) worked very well for family gathering and entertaining. The unit also had two refrigerators which was helpful. The unit was well supplied with supplies and even spices. Even though we had to deal with smoke from the Mosquito fire, we were able to enjoy the outdoor deck area. When we had to move indoors, the large open living area with the wet bar was perfect for entertaining. We also make use of the ping pong table and bar shuffle board. We hosted 10 adults and one small child. We did not make use of the loft for sleeping as the adults were all older, but my son did use it for a remote work area. We really enjoyed our stay and would consider renting the property again if we visit the area again. The only very minor suggestion I have for the property is to clean-up and organize the closets a little better so it is easier to find supplies and cleaning tools. We also used the laundry which worked well. Lastly we did make use of the pickle ball courts at the park as you you turn off of 89 toward the village. Our grandson also enjoyed the park. We will remember this stay as a great family gathering.

Great Time and location
Great location and lots of space to spread out. No screens on some windows so bugs get in. Not super clean (cigarette butts under jacuzzi steps, sticky surfaces etc. but there’s lots of space and it’s a great place. The loft and bed up there are super hot so someone just slept on the couch. With the loft was more descriptive that you go up a ladder to the room.

Such a beautiful property! Our extended family vacation was fantastic and the property was everything we could have asked for. The house is very appointed for any season, and the location can’t be beat. Our group included guests from 1 yr to 85 yrs and a great time was had by all! Thank you.

The house was amazing but more importantly the service was amazing. Brent, the local caretaker was available 24/7 and his staff really helped us through a blizzard. They cleared the deck and hot tub area not once but twice. They helped us carry our groceries in the dark during the blizzard in the middle of the night. It was really top notch service. I highly recommend snow tires if you're coming during the winter months. Despite losing power (nobody's fault but mother nature) we still had a great time. The house stayed very warm and the large fireplace was perfect.
It's an amazing property in the middle of a ski paradise. Rare location and a great staff made this property worth every penny!!

A trip to be repeated. It started off with the ladies soaking in all the beauty the property and house had to offer. Many nights filled with good wine, food and laughter preparing for a 50th birthday get together with just the guys. They had everything there to make this a memorable event. Planning our next trip to the house already.

Initial communicate decreased the closer that we got to check-in. Once that we arrived, it was difficult to remove the key from the lock-box. There are four flights of stairs not described in the vrbo described in the online ad.
There was a minimal level of hot water in the showers, Online reception was usually at a level that was unusable. The hot tub water turned Grenada before our five day stay ended.
The bottom line was that the price of the visit was highly overpriced.

We had a wonderful family reunion with our son’s & their families. Two families flew into Reno from out-of-state & the other drove up from Southern California. We totaled 8 adults & 6 kids ages ranging from toddler to 11 years.
The house was perfect with its multiple levels & diverse floor plan. The space allowed plenty of privacy, kid space, & plenty of room for everyone to gather for group dinners & games. The outdoor space was equally great. The patio provided for diverse activities including, ping pong, the hot tub, dining table large enough for all & the fire pit for smore’s & hanging out. Plus, we were right on the trail for hiking up to waterfalls and pools with ice cold water!
The location was just a couple minutes to the Village & about a 10- 15-minute drive to Tahoe City & the lake.
The AvantStay Team were great. We needed a little thing once & they were there in a flash. And had a question regarding the bears & answered quickly so we knew exactly what to do.
One thing, a little more noticeable sign to the road & bridge entering the Granite Chief Estates would have been more helpful, it took each of us several times to find it! But well worth the hunt.

Best Property we have stayed so far. AvantStay is very quick and helpful accommodating any requirement, it’s just SMS away. Property was large enough to accommodate group of ~15-18. Highlight was location, cleanliness, hidden game room for kids, AvantStay service, and Fire Pit. Loved all custom interior and well maintained house.
It can be further improved by better WiFi (I came to know due to remote area, WiFi is not powerful so not giving any negative point for that).
There were 2 ping pong tables, we enjoyed but if some group not in to ping pong they might need something else. We (adults & kids) enjoyed so not giving negative point.
Property is very close to pollen spots so having Air Conditioning inside property might help to someone who is sensitive to pollen and doesn’t want to stay outside long, during our stay weather was pleasant so ignored pollen.
Some of the photos in listing are old with updated note but it’s easy to miss so recommend having latest photos with up to date description.
Overall great property, great location and ton of things to enjoy around. I might go there again in future.

Perfect ski house
The location couldn’t be better, right under the Squaw One lift. Quick and responsive communication throughout the trip, and the house manager even left us a couple of gifts for my wife’s birthday. Kitchen is great too. We were there too late in the season for it to be truly ski-in, ski-out, but still the perfect home base for our group of 10.

The other set of windows in the room did not have blinds, but you could use the sliding closet doors to block the sunlight. However, you could only slide 1 door - the other was locked so you were unable to block one side of the wall.-The large TV mounted on the wall was pointless since you couldn't watch anything on it - WIFI was awful..-They mention hotel grade amenities, however there is no shampoo (only body wash and conditioner).

Great Location and Space
This was our first visit to the Lake Tahoe region and were thoroughly impressed. With 15 family members of all ages we had tons of room to gather or be secluded in the home. Sleeping arrangement was a breeze. We particularly appreciated the large deck and dining space. Kitchen was well appointed except could have used some larger cooking and serving ware. Hiking, bike riding, village and a couple trips to the Lake were great. Had a couple problems with appliances and hot tub but property management was very, very responsive.

Wedding weekend
Beautiful property with great views right in between the gondola runs. Big patio with hot tub too. My extended family stayed there and it accommodates all of us with the added hairdressers and photographers. There is limited parking in the driveway as the road up to the house is curvy , steep and narrow.
