Disappointed the car park was on the road and no doors on 2 bedrooms.

The house was as shown in the photos. Good value for money.

It is advertised as having a car park however you have to park on the road. It can be hard to get a car park. There is no doors in the 2nd and 3rd bedroom. The back door doesn’t lock. Not a big deal as it comes off a little courtyard, however nice to have a locking door.

This is the worst accommodation that I have stayed in. I would never stay there again.

The location is handy to the cbd.

This is the worst accommodation that I have stayed in using booking.com. This list of complaints, security issues and poor hygiene is long. The keypad front door lock allowed multiple codes to be used, not just the one given to us. Obviously old codes had not been cleared. The rear door to the courtyard could not be locked. The security bolts did not engage and the lock in the door knob did not work. We had to tie the door knobs together for some limited security. The food provided for breakfast was appalling. We tried some of the eggs in the fridge and they were clearly very old. We later founds 7 cartons of out of date eggs (purchased 2 months prior) in the bathroom/laundry on top of the water heater and clothes drier. These cartons are no doubt used to resupply the 'fresh' eggs in the fridge. The eggs were out of date by weeks and a serious health concern. The cereal in the pantry was stale. We later found opened packets of cereal in the bathroom/laundry that are no doubt used to resupply the 'fresh' cereal container in the pantry. The packets were open to insects. The kitchen cooking facilities were disgusting. The extraction fan/filter above the stove was dripping in old oil and we had to clean it to use it. There are 3 bedrooms in the apartment. The 2 upstairs bedrooms do not have doors, so there is no privacy. There are also not enough power points so that there are extension cords and powerboards running across the floor of both upper bedrooms. The property is tired and in rough condition. Bathroom sink tiles are broken or missing, the walls are cracked, power points have been roughly installed and poorly finished.

Location was good, close to the centre of the city. The apartment was clean.

Parking was difficult, apartment is very small with difficult narrow stairs, not enough seating in the lounge area and no TV, just a broken projector that we were unable to connect too or use. You share a wall with neighbours and while we were they they were very loud late at night.

great location, spacious, well priced, responsive host, convenient key pad entry, snacks/breakfast foods were a nice touch

back door didn’t lock, projector didn’t work, it was more run down and tired than shown in the photos, for example bathroom vanity had tiles missing, stains on rug and blankets

location was continent, the house was clean and well equipped,host was responsive.

comes with convenient location is the problem with cars on the street at night time. the windows and roof can crack a bit when the wind blows strong - if you are a light sleeper you may find it a bit hard to fall asleep.

nice central spot but could do with some maintenance

Close to restaurants, inviting and warm, cosy, main bedroom was comfy. Great having a washer and dryer to use! Dyson hair dryer was a great touch as well as we are a group of 4 ladies with long hair! Left us some bikkies to have with a cuppa and coffee pod machine was great!

Says breakfast included but it was just eggs and cereal (no milk, no bread, no butter) and a lot of the food was out of date. Parking situation is kind of weird, only 30min parking out the front on weekdays so be mindful of that. house smelt a bit musty. upstairs rooms were a bit stuffy but beds were comfy enough. lots of little things need fixing, the fridge was leaking water and the door didn’t stay shut, leak underneath the sink, wheelie bins were full to the brim, bathroom door wouldn’t shut properly. It was just lacking all the little touches, with a bit of maintenance it would be great.

The heating

The main bed was hard, the single beds had oversize mattress protectors on which made the sheets and doona fall off all the time. There wasn't a broom or vacuum to clean the floors, there wasn't enough milk for the 5 days. The cereal was stale, the only place to sit outside was near smelly bins. The handrail down the stairs was loose and unsafe.

Stairs up to third floor felt a little unsafe especially when trying to get luggage up and down to bedrooms. Couldn’t figure out how to use the stove / oven … perhaps having a manual would be useful. Difficulty of parking.

One bathroom for 6 persons slightly inconvenient. Staircase too steep & narrow, we had to leave the luggage on ground floor and bathroom on 1st floor

Good apartment in a good location

We were so glad that we chose to stay here. Good location, very convenient, walking distance to Salamanca market. Checking-in was so easy. Everything provided more than expectation and the host was very responsive. I strongly recommend this place

Very much worth the money! Can’t wait to stay again :)

Loved the location (5min walk into the middle of town), the furnishing and art in the apartment were beautiful and it was super cosy!

There were a few problems with a faulty appliance and the kitchen was very cramped.

Disappointed

The host was easy to contact and gave us relevant information before checking in.

Me and my husband had to take the double bed as my FIL took the master room. The bed was broken and this was the most uncomfortable two nights we have spent anywhere. The bedding did not feel clean. Most of the furniture felt very flimsy and we were afraid it might break. The carpet really needs a good clean and the place can do with a good dusting. None of the apps on the projector were working. The property has potential but needs a lot of work. We were quite disappointed after seeing the beautiful pictures. We hope the host will be able to take our concerns on board and improve their listing.

Great location, cool clean retro interior, nice hosts. Living room, stairs issue for some visitors

Location excellent, cleanliness excellent, nice hosts to deal with (they let us move in earlier than 3pm). Thoughtful arty pieces (record player), good fan (Dyson), modern washing machine and dryer. Beds and linen clean and comfy (apart from the electric blanket buttons!) Overall, Lotus Gogh was clean, modern and 10 mins walking to Salamanca square, with CBD just 5 mins away.

Breakfast was basic - cereal, milk, eggs. Fresh bread and butter would have been a nice touch, esp as we there for 4 nights. Living room set up was awkward, spread out at opposite ends of room and also not enough sitting room for a family of 4, and we were not a big group! TV/projector option not working, but the retro record player was a nice touch. Facilities overall were just OK (living room layout, no place to relax together, no drinking glasses (only wine glasses!), main bed had awkward electric blanket buttons on both sides). Stairs ok for older kids but a problem for young/elderly. Overall good stay but not as amazing as hoped for the price (so value is just OK)

Great stay, great value for money and really enjoyed the stay.

Great decor, very clean and comfy. Great for family or friends trip. Enjoyed checking out bars and restaurants in this area away from the Port Area.

disappointing stay .. it’s a lovely old terrace with some quirky features sadly lack of comfort spoilt our stay

staircases … hard to manoeuvre cases and for older people to use, banister loose … beds poor comfort, no doors on attic bedrooms, no storage in bedrooms, lack of comfortable chairs in lounge area . tube missing from coffee. machine milk frother, breakfast consisted of various cereals poured into jars not sealed pkts plus milk and 6 eggs for 5 quests for 6 nights… we used the milk only …. no ice cube trays we bought and left for future guests . no televisions just a projector to use on wall for Netflix only

Lotus Gogh lived up to expectations as a fun place to stay and a great jumping off place for Hobart.

Location was ideal for a family making their first visit to Hobart. Walking distance to lots of city sights, including the Salamanca markets. Convenient to restaurants and cafes. Quirky and fun.

Nothing of any real concern. Had fun with the record player, but couldn't get the video system to work.
