Great location, can walk to Petra visitor center easily. Good staff, rooms, and pillows.
For a very low tourist season, $172 a night seemed like a high price.

It’s the nearest hotel to Petra’s entrance and the visitor centre! You just have to cross the road and voila! You’re there.
Spacious rooms with views 💕

Our 'suite' had a kitchen! With no utensils? Paid a suite price with no extra usable space

We loved that the pool was very cool to get out of the heat and relax after a hot day of visiting Petra! It was very relaxing.

Everything is perfect in this hotel, from the location to the rooms and food. Cheap for what it gives you! It's an example to follow and really hope other movenpicks are like this one because we are planning on stayin on more after this one! Thank you

Great location. An extra door to section off our two rooms was a nice touch. Rooms were noisy due to the Royal Wedding party outside when we were trying to have a nap after a tiring day walking in Petra.
The windows could be better insulated to prevent noise when they are closed. Although we had a great view of the celebrations from our balcony.

Hôtel is across the street to Petra site.
There was a huge tour group wearing red shirts that had lunch at the hotel and they invaded the entire lobby and eating areas. Glad only a few stayed at the hotel. When we arrived there was no place for us to have lunch. The staff made sure we were seated and served as soon as they could find a spot. The front desk gave us an upgrade :)

breakfast was good , service very good
lots of fresh foods and good variety.
evening was good also . good food for the children . they loved the swimming pool ..
We paid for two doubles in each room as we had two children with us . when we arrived we had to ask for extra beds as only i bed in each room . The staff did bring the extra beds and where very helpful , but made things a bit chaotic .

Location: just opposite the main entrance of petra
Staff: caring & helpful. Thanks especially to Yousef B. As my husband was sick, he was so kind to arrange the medicine from the pharmacy by taxi.

The room was nice and the hotel was conveniently located across from The Visitor Center. Housekeeping was WONDERFUL! And the concierge Waleed was so very kind and helpful.
The accessibility of the hotel is not good! If you used a cane our other mobility device it felt very unsafe. Entering and exiting the hotel felt unsafe and was a hassle. We almost always had to walk through the entrance where the cars come through and weave between cars and buses. Sometimes the guards would lower the barrier that blocks vehicles entry but other times they would not. There is not a convenient foot path to use. The front desk was not very helpful and it felt like pulling teeth to get information. The hospitality in the bar area and restaurant was spotty. There were times we sat for 20 minutes in the bar and no one came to take our order. We saw people sit down, wait, and finally walk out in disgust. The first time we went into the bar/lounge area the staff was just dismissive and unwelcoming. We were going to order food but left and went to another bar across the street. We came back for happy hour and no one came for quite some time so we went to the bar and ordered. Two of the gentlemen there were nice and took care of us right away. The two waitresses though took forever to bring us water or a second glass of wine. Whenever we wanted something we had to ask repeatedly and in the end walk across the lounge and ask again. Breakfast was good, but again the service was hit and miss. It wasn’t one big thing but a collection of irritating incidents. Overall we found the customer service here to be lacking and inconsistent. We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and in spite of the nice room, we were happy to leave. It was not a good value for the price of the stay and at the very least one would expect better customer service. This is not the first Accor property we have stayed at but unfortunately the lack of solid customer service has been a consistent characteristic. It makes one wonder how they treat and train staff. Currently we have reservations for the Movenpick at the Dead Sea for 3 days, but I intend to cancel.

staff attitude and buffet breakfast

- The location is great to visit Petra as the hotel is just across the street from the visitor centre
- Breakfast buffet was delicious, staff was attentive
- Room was nice, clean, spacious and bright
- Not great value for money compared to similar resorts in other areas in Jordan - but any service around Petra is overpriced
- We called someone to help us with AC as it did non work but nobody ever showed up which especially for an expensive 5 star hotel is not what would be expected

The property is beautiful. The location is unbeatable. The bellhops, front desk staff, cleaning staff, and waitstaff in the fancy restaurant were excellent!
The hotel is busy all the time, with high room turnover due to short stays and a high, constant occupancy rate. More staffing is needed to keep up with the volume. Most of the staff were excellent but all were consistently busy! There should be more staff. The day restaurant team could be more attentive but I believe the issue is needing more people.

The location of the hotel could not be better for a visit to the Petra site. The breakfast offering is one of the best I have ever seen in all my travels. The bed was was superbly comfortable.
Service of the staff was generally 'hit and miss'. Some were good and others were not. There seems to be a lack of general understanding in what customer service is.

Excellent location next to the Petra gate. The hotel has gorgeous middle eastern shared spaces like the courtyard. The bar was really nice and the pub lunch we had there after a full morning of walking was enjoyed by our party very much.
We booked a delux junior suite. The room was disappointing as the booking promised a view. We had a view of a car park and the back of the hotel where the tour buses collected tour groups. The room was hot and stuffy. When we tried to change the temperature we were told by reception this wasn’t possible. Our only option was to open a window but as the buses kept the engines running this was a noisy option. All in all it was a disappointing room which was so expensive!
