Girly getaway

The location was amazing! The man working on reception was so friendly and welcoming. Good selection of tea and coffee with the added bonus of a couple of biscuits.

Brilliant

Great area in London really close to Leicester Square!! Staff were lovely and let us leave our bags before check in and were more than helpful when asked about information.

Gem of a hotel in an excellent location

Excellent location, friendly and professional staff, lovely room and secure bag storage. My daughter was treating me on a trip to London with a show, meal etc and we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

The only very minor downside was the handheld shower could do with replacing and the curtains in bedroom wouldn't shut - think previous occupant has maybe tried to force it and has come off track. But this didn't effect the overall experience and we would definitely stay here again.

Superb location

First class.

Convenient, very clean and everything provided, the room and bathroom sizes were above average for the price charged.

The lack of lift access could be a negative foe some guests.

Lovely hotel, excellent customer service; I would definitely stay again.

After roaming around England for four weeks, this was my last night in England before long haul flight back to Australia. I just needed a single bed, ensuite room, close to the tube back to Heathrow. My room at the Fielding was fabulous - it was well proportioned, quiet and very comfortable. Vibrant Covent Garden was a very short walk away, as was the tube station. A standout for me was the customer service - I arrived well before check-in time and was warmly welcomed. Leaving my luggage so that I could enjoy the rest of the day in London was no problem at all. Check-out was 11am the next day so this gave me time to enjoy a leisurely cafe breakfast and the concierge recommended a short walk to cafes close by (I found 'Drury', which was fabulous!!). After checking out, I was able to leave my luggage again (was due to catch tube around 4pm). The professionalism, friendliness and helpfulness from the concierge was just lovely - very happy to help / guide without reservation.

Highly recommended

The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. The location was amazing - 1 minute walk to Covent garden, to the underground, many restaurants nearby. The room was spacious, convenient, with beds and a bathroom distant to one another.

No elevator, although the staff helped us carry the luggage, and it is mentioned. To the 2nd floor it becomes rather difficult. Hot water - there was little to no hot water in the late evening.

לא היה צורך בארוחת בוקר בגלל המיקום של המלון נמצא ליד מלא בתי קפה, מסעדות מאפיות וסופר מרקט ככה שאין בעייה להסתדר בבוקר. כל יום ניקו לנו את החדר החליפו מגבות וסדינים המלון נמצא בתוך רחוב הולנדי כזה ככה שהוא ממש במרכז הענינים אבל בתוך החדר הי שקט ולא שמענו כלום, ישנו ממש טוב יש חלונות ומזגן שוב המלון היה במיקום מעולה !

Great location, alright hotel

Great location and thankfully working air-con for the heatwave we were in. Staff were mostly helpful and we left our bags there for most of the day once we’d checked out which was very handy.

The room was downstairs so no nice views for us. My biggest issue was the black mould in the bedroom by the windows. I mentioned to the man on the front desk that this needs to be fixed as if it gets any worse it will affect people’s health. After reading some other reviews mentioning something similar I’m not so sure it will be fixed. Our room also had a loud clunking noise that would happen periodically through the night. As a light sleeper this disrupted my sleep. For this hotel you are paying for the location more than anything. I would not book again.

Location is reason to stay here. Coffee in the room was appreciated.

Enjoyable, lovely staff, brilliant location, clean and comfortable room

Brilliant location, very comfortable. The only hotel I’ve stayed in recently that had more than one electric sockets in the room 4 in my room .

There was a bit of noise people walking past but to be fair I was on the ground floor

More than adequate

Located opposite the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden in the heart of the West End theatre land and only yards from numerous fabulous restaurants. For the price this hotel is excellent.

Nothing. I don't expect facilities like breakfast, lounge bar or a lift at this price. It's just a pleasantly run 24 hour reception desk with stairs up to your room.

Perfect!!

This hotel is perfectly located for Covent Garden and exploring the sights of London. Staff were welcoming /friendly and helpful throughout the stay. We visited for my daughters 18th and the balloons I’d preordered were amazing and started the visit off perfectly when she saw them!

That we couldn’t stay longer!

Excellent location, but room not overly clean & not warm.

Location was excellent - the hotel is tucked away in a lovely quiet courtyard & is walking distance to most London landmarks. Lots of great eateries in the vicinity too. The staff were very friendly.

The room could have been cleaner & could have been warmer. I spent the whole weekend struggling to keep warm, both inside & out. It had a broken window that wouldn't shut, let alone lock. And the bathroom was down a fairly steep flight of stairs. I was travelling with my 77 year old Mum, so not ideal. It would be sensible to ensure this room is suitable for guests before they arrive. Overall, I had expected something a little smarter for the money.

Do not stay here!

Our room was unbearably small, hot, noisy & bright from the street. I complained when checking out and was dismissed. I’ve follow up and emailed twice to complain & have been ignored. Our room wasn’t fit for purpose & the customer service has been very poor.

Location was magnificent, right in heart of Covent Garden but a few steps up an alley so minimal noise. Staff were super helpful and the room was lovely.

Quite a few steps and no lift which is unavoidable due to the age of the building.
