The Design is pretty nice and it’s quite calm for a hostel. They always have activities and really try to engage their guests! Bilal and Andrew do a great job.
The furniture are quite worn, especially the bathroom facilities. You have to be aware that the hostel is next to a very busy street and it can get quite noisy during the night. Furthermore it always smells a bit like mold when you enter the room …

The building looks nice from the outside
One of the worst hotel nights I ever experienced (and I had a lot). On 2 of our 3 nights booked there was an insanely loud party very close to our room. Even with earplugs, you could hear it very loud… When I went down to ask until what time the party was, because it was 2AM and we had to get to the airport at 6AM, the answer was “I don’t know, maybe 3:30AM - oh you can’t sleep because of the noise? That sucks for you…” Secondly, when I first turned on the shower there was black water coming from the shower… for like a minute. Disgusting.
If you want to have no sleep, please go here!

The staff are really nice and they are willing to answer the questions and give suggestions on local experiences.
The room is not really clean and there is a bar underneath our room and it was SO LOUD on weekend nights. We couldn’t fall asleep even with our earplugs on.

The vibe of the hotel was nice – a lot of events, young people, and good staff.
It was not clean. Our towels were stained, the bathrooms were dirty, toilets not working, and not a lot of natural light in our room. As a foreigner, I thought “downtown” was a good location, but it’s not. Promised welcome drinks were never given to us, and apparently asking for clean towels is frowned upon.

Good location
Small dorms are really small with zero privacy-there is not even a curtain to sleep behind, only the beds in the middle of the room. My sheets were not clean, the bathroom really needs renovation. It was very hot in the room, many mosquitos. Also, almost impossible to find people at the reception, no one mentioned the welcome drink nor other services upon check in; I was not told where the kitchen was either. You are left on your own from the second you arrive to navigate which does not feel hospitable. For the price Selina charges, this was really not worth it.

nothing in particular
The room does not have air conditioning, it does not have a fan, the lockers are mostly broken and cannot be locked and also I did not receive sheets for my bed. In addition to this, the hostel looks very different from what Selina has us used to.

The staff.. BIDAL was very helpful in helping me to navigate the city. The Dance class I had from Trinity was mind blowing.. It set me on a better path of health. Sabstian the guard had wonderful conversation about life in Mexico.
All of the Bar tenders were excellent.
Lights go out too early in the pool table area.

Perfect location, amazing facilities, friendly staff, comfy beds, a nice little restaurant/bar on the ground floor. Would stay again and 100% recommend.
There were a few ants on the floor on the first day of our stay but they were mostly gone the next day so overall not a huge deal.

nice outlook and okay location
extremely noisy and weird smell of disinfectant- the staff wasn’t helpful and they charged us even after we cancelled the staying without providing any explanation

It's very clean and the beds are comfortable. The lobby is really nice.
Reception wasn't really welcoming, they hand out the keys and don't tell you about much else. I discovered the kitchen and the rooftop by myself.
The kitchen doesn't have any knives, cups or pots.
Location is bad for a woman travelling solo, particularly at night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Not very clean for a Selina. There is no shampoo or shower gel in the shower. The kitchen is very poorly equipped and the refrigerators are very dirty.

Location is good and beds are relatively comfy
I paid a deposit for a towel upon arrival but apparently this wasn’t recorded by the receptionist at the time - when I returned the towel and requested my deposit the staff member on the desk questioned me sceptically for some time, insisting I didn’t pay a deposit. I persevered until he gave me the money back, after which he completely ignored me when I said thank you and goodbye. Felt like I was being accused of stealing 80 pesos!
The communal kitchen was still closed even at 8am, there’s no free drinking water, and very few showers for a lot of people. Half the bedside lamps in my dorm didn’t work.

Nice place, big room, clean, good restaurant
There was a karaoke party one night that had music until 4:00 am, rest of the nights were quiet!

I liked the location conveniently located to major tourist attractions
Beds we're not comfortable, restroom had a sewer moldy like smell. I stayed in one of the private rooms for 5 days, room size was decent, but I wouldn't stay there again.

it’s close to the airport.
Love the Selina hostels in general. Stayed in almost all of them in Central America, but never experienced something like this. when we arrived The bathroom/toilets were very dirty. they didn’t get cleaned in the 4 days we stayed here. Even after asking for 3(!) times they didn’t clean it. Also, no handsoap, no toiletpaper (we needed to buy ourselves). The worst part is that asking the staff/ complaining didn’t seem to bother them. They couldn’t even check with the cleaning team if they cleaned it. Also, no atmosphere, this place doesn’t look at all like the other Selina hostels.

Nice staff even if they are a bit dreamers!!!
Too noisy near to the road

Convenient location, great staff, cute lobby/cafe
Our door didn't lock. The "kitchen" in the room was not furnished, so we couldn't use it.

Great location to main attractions in CDMX, the bathrooms were usually very tidy being shared, very friendly staff
Poor construction of the room as I can hear everything from the neighboring room since the wall has a gap at the window
