Contained within grade 2 listed building
No early check in available. No one answered front desk when I called either.
Breakfast was more premier inn standard than 4 star Marriott

The bed was comfy
We got sent the wrong postcode for car park so had to pay £25 , the room smelt of urine when we got in there , I had sent over decorations for my partners birthday, only half got used and didn’t receive the rest back

Great location and beautiful historic building
For a 4 star hotel the bathroom didn’t have many products at all. Toiletries were scarce

Location and very helpful when asking questions about our stay
The size of the room compared with the last time we stayed we was told we had been upgraded but the room was less spacious

The location was very good
We have stayed here 4 times and it has deteriorated rapidly and won’t be staying there again.
There used to be a lovely restaurant that served amazing meals which has now gone
The tea and coffee in our room wasn’t replaced, , one biscuit was left the whole time , ( do we cut it in half and share ) not really a problem but annoying .
Had a shower and they took the towels and left just one for the next day
Didn’t replace the toilet roll so lucky I had some tissues
All trivial things , but for £400 for a two night stay was disgusting , won’t be back when there is a premiere inn down by the docks which are lovely and comfortable and a lot cheaper

Breakfast was good. Bed very comfy. Flat screen TV. Staff friendly and helpful
Noisy, no view, had paid for what we thought was a superior room. It was very dark in the room, one light didn't work. Coffee was only decaf and when I asked for normal coffee I was told it was out of stock. Some areas looked a little tatty. Didn't feel like 4 star. Tissue box was empty - and not replaced. Had to ask for hairdryer.
All niggly little things but just took the edge off the weekend.

Our room was an ensuite. Very comfortable for the two of us.
Parking was a pain. Our discount ticket did not work. Therefore we paid the full rate. Directions at check-in would have been helpful as there are many park-rite lots.

Good location. Helpful staff and breakfast was ok but would have liked more fruit and seeds option. Room was large and bed comfortable.
I was woken from 6am with noise of lift.

Nice room and hotel, close to the Lime Street train station and downtown activities. Loved how close it was to Mathew Street. Breakfast was good, lots of choices.

Odd sized rooms something massive columns in the middle of the room

Friendly staff, good location.
Decor is very tired. Bathroom needs total upgrade. Toilet wasn’t fixed correctly to the floor. The quilt had yellow stains all over it. Windows were dirty. One of the lifts was out of service. The bar was like a student youth club. A “guest” was very drunk and intimidating both staff and others guests, whilst the door staff completing ignored this. It ruined our visit to the bar and didn’t stay. It had the feel of a low end budget stag/hen do hotel with noisy guests well after midnight.

The history and architecture of the building. Beautiful building. Friendliness of staff throughout. Very welcoming hotel. Bed was so comfortable.
Everything was exceptional, there was nothing to complain about.

Good location. Friendly and helpful staff
Our room was next to the main doorway to the corridor and the door banged shut as people used it.

Lovely clean room
Spacious and interesting design
There was very little shower gel and shampoo when we arrived

Room was large and clean. Bed was comfortable and very big. Food was good but a very restricted menu, not a great deal of choice. Breakfast however was very good. The location is perfect, 3 minutes from the Cavern club, 6 or seven minutes to walk to the main shopping area. Lime street station 9 minutes easy walk.
Room cleaning was a bit hit and miss, we had to ask for our room to be made up, towels changed etc. but it happened in the end. More attention needed to topping up the bathroom tissues. Television signal is awful unless you are happy to fiddle with the Ariel leads yourself!

Great location. Very close to the town centre. Everything we needed was there
The hallways were very loud and you could hear everyone talking. This wasn’t ideal during the early hours of the morning. Maybe need noise cancelling doors or another door in the room

The room was beautiful with plenty of mirrors, tall windows and a decent sized bathroom and shower. The location is great, it's a short walk to the docks, shopping, train station and nice restaurants. The breakfast had a nice selection and a bonus menu if you want to order something to be cooked for you. Staff were lovely including the cleaners.
My friend had a separate room so I could notice the differences. His room had a phone which mine did not even though there was a menu to order from. He had a bin for the bathroom and room whereas mine only had a bathroom bin. My tissue box looked full but it turned out the last one had just been pulled to the top. There was a noticeable mark on the curtain when pulled closed, looked pretty gross. His TV reception was great whereas mine kept stuttering and freezing.
His only complaint was that the bagels were too hard to get through and he just left it in the end.

Hotel is absolutely stunning. There’s a 24 hour snack bar and the bar is open till 2am. We arrived just after 7.30pm and went to the restaurant for food which was delicious. The staff were fantastic (especially the girl waitressing, sorry didn’t get her name). The rooms are spotless. We got breakfast included in the price and we couldn’t have asked for more. Great selection. Check out it’s 12pm, but if you’re not ready to leave the great city of Liverpool you can check your bags. They give you a tag and you can come back and collect them whenever you’re ready. Could not recommend this hotel enough.
We tried to book a second night but they were fully booked

The building was beautiful with lots of character. We had a lovely room, and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable I have had in a hotel. Breakfast was nice and hot, and the hotel itself was very quiet overnight, so we got a good night's sleep. It is also in a great location with lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby.
The TV wasn't smart, so we were stuck with a few TV channels rather than having the ability to stream from our phones . There was no water in the room, which I would have liked given there was a fridge.
