One of the best Guesthouses I’ve ever stayed in!

The room and shared spaces were all very clean and tidy. The room was large and the bed was really comfy! Free smoothies were amazing as well!

Perfect place to stay in centre

Beds were extremely comfy and neighbourhood so quiet yet right in centre. We slept very well and family hosts were friendly. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it. Free coffee, cake and yummy smoothie each day was also a great hospitable touch! Also loved the chill out room on top floor. A great place to stay!

Great location. Great stay. Home from home and felt so welcomed :)

This was a great stay and we definitely felt welcomed. The set up is great for coming and going at your own pace. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the facilities were fantastic and met all our needs. Some lovely extra touches with the daily smoothies and coffee!

My only dislike was the partitioning with other rooms, the doors were quite thin and we could hear the room next door very clearly but we didnt spend too much time in the room so it wasnt a real issue.

Perfect guesthouse and amazing hosts!

This was the perfect home away from home in Iceland, and we even extended my stay after the first few nights. The location is extremely central in the city for both walking or picking up the bus (for tours or airport transfer). Exceptional hosts-- we really enjoyed getting to know the family who runs the guesthouse! They were so accommodating with early/late check-in, storing luggage, etc; plus, daily smoothies and cake were such a sweet touch. Will be staying here in future visits and will recommend to all friends/family.

Would stay again and recommend my friends to stay.

The location was really convenient, 3 minutes walk to Hallgrímskirkja. The room was spacious and clean. Nice clean bathrooms with fresh towels. Daily smoothies was nice.

Well located, very nice place ...

Our room key was waiting for us in a well developed late arrival system. Even had smoothie drinks waiting for us in the refrigerator. Slept well. We were fortunate that the other guests we also considerate and quiet as this could be an issue, but was not for our stay. Super location ...

Excellent home away from home!

Excellent location right in the heart of Reykavik. Wonderfully run location which felt like home. The breakfast in the art center next-door was outstanding. It was nice to have a shared kitchen as well. Highly recommend. Also, we left something in Iceland and the hosts were completely responsive and are sending it to us in the US. Really appreciate them going above and beyond.

We didn’t fully realize it was shared bathrooms, but it went fine!

it was the best!!

we had an absolute fantastic stay in the studio suite at the Freyja Guesthouse. very modern and clean. very well equipped, all the amenities you would need. great coffee and smoothies. the owners went out of their way to ensure a positive experience. this was the best accommodation of our multi destination trip. we would highly recommend.

Lovely place, highly recommend

The location is very convenient for touring the city. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind. We really appreciated how helpful they were! It really felt like they wanted their guests to have all they might need to explore - from guidebooks and coupons to free bikes and good recommendations. The rooms were charming and comfortable and I loved the little sparkling kitchen with coffee and smoothies.

Good location, neat and tidy place. We stayed in the Family Suit which had private toilet and bathroom. It was good for a family of 4 with 2 young children. The suite has underfloor heating and the hosts were gracious to stock up the kitchen with good coffee, tea and milk to start with. We had a magnificent view of the church from the window and could walk up to it in about 2 minutes. Also very close to cheap super markets, Restaurants and if you prefer pubs. Overall we had a lovely experience and would highly recommend it.

Nice place in the perfect location for exploring the city!

We only spent one night but it was great to rest up and shower after almost 30 hours of traveling. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was clean. The best part is the location though, walking distance to everything we wanted to see!

The shower was a little hard to figure out at first and the shower head kept moving towards the wall instead of staying put where I adjusted it.

Exceptional

Super friendly owner. She was very helpful. The location is great - could not be closer to the city centre. Area is nice and we felt safe. Room is nice and bed comfortable. Shared kitchen and bathroom were both very clean and well equipped.

There is no soundproofing, but luckily everyone was quiet. But you can hear everything from other rooms. Room was a bit dusty. Two bathrooms for 10 rooms is not enough, but they are building more.
