Mel was very helpful and it was beautiful having our own entrance and little Garden. Mel kindly looked up a route for us to go and visit places that we were interested in.

Nothing we didn't like excellent property and host all round.

Mel and Ballybur are a perfect combination.

Ballybur was wonderful. Just far away enough from town, quiet and very well put together. Mel was lovely. She offered breakfast in the morning, better than most hotels. She gave me some recommendations on my itinerary. I've never actually been to a B&B before and it was excellent.

Convenient location for our planned excursions.

Comfortable beds, good food. Separate room for extra bed was very much appreciated. Helpful staff.

Far too many artificial plants and other decorative articles in the room, and not enough table and luggage space. It was a large room, but much of it was not convenient to use. Very small closet for hanging clothes. located in smaller bedroom. Outdoor patio space was unusable due to loud road noise.

Absolutely everything!!! From the moment we arrived, we were in love with the beautiful, relaxed ambiance! Meeting Mel and Mark, the GREAT hosts, was the topping on the cake! l

Exquisite place, you will be transported to decadence with the plush, beautiful room with bathroom.

The Lodge is so tastefully furnished and delightful at every turn. The breakfast the next day was delicious.

We got a fright when we realised it was around 10 minutes drive from Kilkenny but thankfully there are a cohort of taxis that know where it us and got us there and back, no problem.

When you imagine a perfect stay at an Irish Bed and Breakfast... this is it!

This bed and breakfast was one of the highlights of our vacation. They were so friendly and helpful. When we asked for directions to a store to buy a bottle of wine, we were given a bottle... and she would not accept payment for it. The bed and breakfast was beautifully decorated, breakfast was delicious, recommendations for sightseeing were so helpful. This was by far the best and most memorable lodging we experienced in Ireland. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful bnb in a lovely location and Mel, the host was so friendly and accommodating. Tasty and ing breakfast. Nice touch to have a little fridge in toom for fresh milk for tea.

Bit disappointed to discover the beautiful bath was out of service as once we saw it we got excited lol, but as we weren't expecting ot to start with it wasn't really a problem and the whole bathroom and shower was stunning

This is not any old B&B room. It is a private, beautifully equipped space run by a remarkable and extremely friendly

A beautiful home, an extremely welcoming owner and an amazing breakfast.

There’s nothing to dislike. Check-in time is later than some, but the owner was super flexible and all we needed was a place for the night and in fact we turned up later in the evening and everything was perfect.

Great B&B for a traveling family or couple.

Traveling from California, the Ballybur was our first time staying at a B&B and the owner made us feel welcome. The room was well appointed for my family and the beds were very comfortable. We got a great dinner tip for a nearby restaurant from the owner as well as having a fantastic breakfast the next day at the Ballybur. We loved our stay!

5 star luxury ...we will be back

Beautifully decorated room with everything you could need being thought of. I don't think we would have found a more luxurious hotel room and definitely not for the price. Our host Mel was excellent, professional and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay here and the extras such as the Valentines chocs and minibar treats were a lovely surprise. The bed was so comfortable and there was even an electric blanket for cold nights. We stayed in the triple room which had a totally separate single room attached if needed.

Very little not to like at Ballybur Lodge! Maybe full Irish breakfast instead of bacon & eggs or salmon & scrambled eggs but saying that what we did get was delicious!
