The Daytona Beach area is home to numerous exciting and educational attractions including Daytona International Speedway, Daytona 1, Tanger Outlets, Ponce de Leon Lighthouse, Marine Science Center, Deep Sea Fishing and an array of water sports including surfing, kayaking, kite boarding and scuba diving. The house was the perfect size for our group of six (4 adults, 2 elementary aged kids). The kitchen was well stocked, and there were beach chairs and toys for us to borrow as well. Just a short walk across the yard to the gate to access the beach. Definitely hope to return!

This was a wonderful place. Can’t beat being this close to the ocean. The property and home are very well maintained and has everything we needed inside and out. Communication with the host was great and they gave us many suggestions for dining, stores and things to do in the area. The locals in the area are very friendly and welcoming. Thanks to hosts Gordan and Cathy for all you gave us to make this such a great trip.

A true Florida home experience. GREAT location and less then 40 steps to the beach. We have never stayed so close. The house for us was perfect. They have everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Gordon was in constant communication with us from the time of making the reservation until check out. The small neighborhood was quite and everyone was super friendly. We will stay again.

This was the second time we have rented this property. It is a great location and the house is wonderful - clean, spacious, and well stocked with everything you should need. Even lots of beach toys for the children.

This is our 4th time at Home by the Sea. The name is exactly how we feel about this place, at Home. We have already booked our stay for next year. The house is steps from the beach. We visit in April and the beach has never been crowded. This week we watched kite surfers, surfers, paddle boarders, dolphins, pelicans and I swear I thought I saw a whale tail. We spent hours soaking up sunshine, warmth and recharging. So great to be right at the the beach and not have to to lug all the things. Gordon and Cathy are excellent hosts and are great at communication. They are a pleasure to work with. We are counting down the days till we will be Home by the Sea again.

Beautifully renovated property and fully stocked with towels, kitchen ware, beach chairs, etc. The additional outdoor shower was great! We practically had the whole beach to ourselves. Clean sand and water... No weeds! Minutes from dining and shopping. We never had to wait to be seated at a restaurant, which is rare for spring break! Gordon made checking in and out easy and was quick to respond if I had a question. And the VIEW. Wow! It was a wonderful week and we hated to leave.

This was our second year in Gordon & Cathy’s Home by the Sea and we loved it even more this year than last. The location and view are unbeatable! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, baking, and hanging out on the island/ counter for games at night. The recliners are a fan fave to watch TV at night as well. The property is CLEAN and well cared for. Plenty of beach accessories as well! We will return again to Home by the Sea!

This home is perfect. Kind of like a small neighborhood. You are not surrounded by a bunch of huge, tall condos. Private. This house has everything you need. Including children's toys. You can't ask for more.

Lovely home. Perfect for our family of 4 and room of course to invite 2 more guest. We stayed 2 weeks and its the perfect getaway for our busy lifestyle back home. The beach is private and the neighbors who live there are super nice.

Can't say enough about what a great property this is! Direct oceanfront with private beach access from the yard. Literally steps to the sand. There were lots of little extras (beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc.). Walking distance to several great restaurants, shops and grocery store. Gordon is a fabulous host who made us feel very welcome and gave lots of suggestions for local activities. We'll definitely be back. Very highly recommend!
