Beautiful property and good food. Lovely for couples.

Beautiful grounds and property. Lovely for couples.

Probably not ideal for kids, since the rooms are all so close to one another. My kids were load so I was constantly concerned about them disturbing other residents.

A due passi dall' Addo Park

Struttura bellissima in mezzo al verde, colazione di ottima qualità, staff molto gentile ed accogliente oltre che molto disponibile. Posizione a 15 minuti da ingresso principale dell' Addo Elephant park dal quale partono le escursioni. Per raggiungere la struttura è importante chiedere e seguire le indicazioni che vi vengono date dallo staff. A seconda di dove si arriva non conviene seguire le indicazioni di Google Maps. Bungalow dove abbiamo alloggiato molto grande e bello, letto grande e comodissimo. Bagno grande.

Piatto doccia super ma doccino piccolo, attaccato al muro e in alto.... peccato, un soffione grande sarebbe stato perfetto.

Super, schöne Unterkunft inmitten einer Parkanlage.

Eine traumhaft schöne Anlage inmitten einer Parklandschaft. Man wohnt in sehr speziellen kleinen Häuschen, die komplett aus sehr dickem Mauerwerk gebaut sind. Sie sehen ein bisschen aus, wie sehr große Iglus und sind für zwei Personen. Sie sind innen sehr komfortabel und modern ausgestattet. Mit Kühl- Gefrierschrank. Es gibt auch eine Familien Unterkunft. Eine hervorragende Küche mit einer exzellenten Speisen Auswahl. Abends wird in einem, mit Holz angeheizten, Pizza Ofen Pizza gebacken. Das Gästehaus hat einen eigenen Landrover für 9 Gäste, um damit game drives durch den addo elefanth Park zu unternehmen.

Nichts. Es ist alles perfekt!!!

Heerlijk verblijf!

Bij Stellenhof kom je in een oase van rust terecht. Ontzettend mooie omgeving, prachtige tuin en vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijke plek om te verblijven als je overdag safari’s in Addo wil doen en na de middag wil ontspannen.

Prachtig, voor herhaling vatbaar!

Super mooi complex met alles erop en eraan. Wij sliepen in een schattig huisje. De kamer was zeer schoon. Personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Je kon ook eten op het verblijf. Dit was allemaal ook erg lekker. Vanuit daar makkelijk Addo main gate te bereiken.

Er was niet goed aangegeven waarom je “bumpy road” moest nemen richting Stellenhof. Als mensen toch eigenwijs zijn om de andere route te pakken, doe dit dan vooral niet, want dit is geen veilige route om te nemen vanwege kans op hijacking. Daarnaast moet je ook door een mindere wijk richting de Addo main gate. Hier is verder niks gebeurd, mensen waren daar wel vriendelijk, maar kan je een onveiliger gevoel geven. Complex is overigens erg goed beveiligd. Hier voel je je compleet veilig en fijn.

Unglaublich schönes Anwesen, große Zimmer, leckeres Essen und sehr freundliches Personal!

Unser Zimmer lag an einem „Durchgang“ (Eckzimmer) und war somit nicht ganz ruhig.

All in all our stay at Stellenhoff was lovely.

We enjoyed 2 breakfasts and dinners at Stellenhoff and all meals were very good. The farm itself was quite beautiful.

To no fault of the owners, the ride in from the road to approach the gate through the informal settlement was a bit troublesome.

Just what you need in Addo :)

Very pretty Guest House with an awesomely high standard. We had booked the family room and it was spacious, clean and stylish. The whole guest house is well designed and nicely arranged. The service is very much family-style and made our stay perfect. The road to the guest house leads through the Addo Elephant park and we spotted game both arriving and leaving at the hotel!

As the road leading there is private, it is not well maintained and very bumpy. Not sure they can do anything about it though…

12/10! Something to remember

This stay was a 12/10! Once you know where to enter you will come on this beautiful property where everything is just perfect. We had dinner there since we arrived later in the afternoon and the food was really good as well. The whole property is super clean and we regretted that we only stayed for one night. I would totally come back again, and next time stay longer. ☺️

If I would have to list one thing it would be that there was no door between bath and bedroom. But this is not at all something which would change my mind to come back again!

Alles. Sehr, sehr schöne Unterkunft mitten im ADDO. Essen war super lecker. Die Zimmer sehr, sehr schön. Schon die Anfahrt durch den ADDO war ein Erlebnis.

Absolutely perfect!

This guest house is paradise! Rooms and buildings are beautiful and comfortable. The garden around the estate is very well maintained with beautiful old trees and lots of birds. All the staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. We will stay here definitely again in the future! If you stay in one of the domes (we stayed in dome 4, wonderful!), take a sleeping mask with you. As soon as the sun comes up the room gets filled with daylight.

Phenomenal stay at Stellenhof Guesthouse in Addo

Suzette was INCREDIBLY hospitable and helpful and she is an AWESOME cook! The grounds and lodging are idyllic and a perfect setting for wedding. The rooms were clean and super spacious and there are "domed" accommodations that offer total privacy. The breakfasts were ample and tasty and the dinners were simple but incredible (they just started offering dinner). The guesthouse is conveniently located about 30 minutes from the Addo Elephant National Park and excellent in-town dining.

Nothing...maybe the frogs were a bit vocal at night! LOL!

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt am Addo Elephant Park

Wir wurden direkt am Eingangstor empfangen. Die Parkähnliche Anlage rund um die Gebäude ist wunderschön angelegt. Es gibt einen Pool. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt einen sehr günstigen Wäscheservice. Das Essen im Restaurant ist von guter Qualität. Unser Safari-Fahrer Abray hat uns einen wunderschönen Tag im Addo Elephant Park beschert. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team

Prachtige locatie en prima service

De rit naar Stellenhof was nogal uitdagend door de recente regenval en de route door Addo over een grevelweg. Met een normale auto die dag nauwelijks te doen, maar we zijn toch blij dat we het gedaan hebben. Aangekomen bij Stellenhof ga je door de imposante poort en bij de volgende poort worden we vriendelijk welkom geheten door Mégan. Het huisje (de Dome) is er een van vier en is ruim met prima bed en heeft een mooie open badkamer en zelfs een buiten douche. Het ontbijt is goed en we hebben hier twee avonden ook 's avonds gegeten. Prijs en kwaliteit zijn ook ruim voldoende. We hebben gebruik gemaakt van de mogelijkheid om een Game Drive direct vanuit Stellenhof te doen. Dat is prima verzorgd met een lunch en vriendelijke gids. Veel gezien maar helaas geen leeuwen of neushoorn. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk en hulpvaardig. We hebben gebruik gemaakt van de was service en men deed er alles aan om het op tijd klaar te hebben.

Het eten bij Stellenhof is erg goed maar als je ergens anders zou willen eten is dat nauwelijks mogelijk gezien de soort weg en afstand. Maar waarom zou je?

My stay was great and peaceful, exactly what I needed.

I enjoyed the staff they were so friendly, the food was excellent. The place was peaceful and beautiful.

The frogs in the pool, were too noisy- we struggled to sleep.

Sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für einen Besuch im Addo Elephant Park

Wunderschönes Anwesen sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Dome war wirklich außergewöhnlich. Das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Wir haben auch beide Abende dort gegessen und das Essen war okay. Wir haben auch die Safari gebucht und es war ein Vergnügen.

Das Wasser hat leider sehr muffig gerochen.

Perfekter Aufenthalt mit einer tollen Safari!

Wunderschönes Anwesen inmitten einer Zitrusfarm. Sehr schön eingerichtete Zimmer, gemütlich und sauber. Toller Aussenbereich zum sitzen und entspannen. Man darf sich nicht von der Anfahrt auf Google irritieren lassen, die zeigt nämlich einen falschen Weg an. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr lecker. Sympathisches und hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Safari mit Aubrey. Das war ein echtes Highlight.

Picturesque property

Estate is very scenic and the property is well maintained..they offer game drive services from the property once a day at around 9am to 4pm which is good and the restaurant is also good

There are closer and more reasonably priced accommodations near addo..there were some extra charges which we were not informed about during checkin

A perfect hideaway around Addo

I can be very particular. However, it was just what i needed. The paradisiac surroundings, the white ddomes, the well curated garden,and landscaping, meticulous decor with quality furnishings, fresh crispy lbed inen, the manager and staff very friendly and professional 👌

Citrus farm in Addo

The perfect base to see Addo from. Centrally located, with a private road leading through the game reserve upon your first entry and exit (during rain it can become a little slippery with the mud). The level of cleanliness is incredibly high, and the decor is immaculate. A sparkling pool, a trampoline for children, and beautiful gardens. I was able to have a safe run through the citrus farm and enjoyed the sunbirds sitting on the blooming aloes. The food is of a high standard, and I enjoyed most of my dinners here. The breakfast portions are great, and the portions are generous. I loved the freshly squeezed orange juice.

A thoroughly enjoyable 3 nights.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at Stellenhof. All the buildings are Cape Dutch architecture and reminded us of the Western Cape. The room was extremely comfortable. Being winter and cold, the air conditioner was wonderful. King size bed, with quality linen. Huge bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Evening meals were delicious. Toiletries good quality. Staff very friendly and helpful - eager to please.

There had been heavy rains in the area and as a result the Divisional road to the property (only 3 kms) was in poor condition - very muddy and full of pot holes.

lovely estate and gardens

some details: shower of the first room didn‘t drain well at all. We couldn’t find anyone on the property for an hour to adress it. We afterwards received another room, in the new room there was some mold in the bathroom. Also, there was a not watered and dried up palmtree in the room. In the lobby / entrance hall to the rooms was monkey poo on a table when we arrived and was unfortunately still not cleaned when we left.

Our stay was very lovely and refreshing. We rested well.

The staff was very friendly and it was nice coming home to a clean room every day. The food was also very delicious. The travels to Addo were convenient distance.

The geyser is too small. We would’ve liked to have more warm water.

Disappointing

They double charged us dinner and they promised to return the payment within one week. This was 6 weeks ago. We wrote a few emails and tried to reach them in any possible way but we recieved neither a refund nor an answer.
