Friendly staff, fairly good for the price.

Staff was super friendly and helpful (even suggesting where to eat or dance). The rooms are very nice for the price payed.

Showers/WC, only two for the whole rooms and not the best in cleaning state, also didnt get hot water but it was hot, so, no personal problem with that. Also on the “hot” topic, the bedroom was super hot with little fans and no AC, so, bear with that.

Nice place, very pleasant reception, I recommend

The people who work here are really nice and they help you a lot to find everything you need ! Nice breakfast with fruits, eggs and bread.

The bed and pillow was a bit uncomfortable but for 2 nights it was okay.

Say a lot but deliver little

The breakfast was good.

The staff is not professional: hearing loud music at 11pm on the room's balcony with open door, borrowed him money in the evening that was supposed to be reimbursed in the morning, breakfast supposed to be ready for 7am was 3/4 ready at 7:45am, the rest was supposed to be ready in 10min but after 15min i had to leave without the final part.

The location is great, close to many restaurants, beaches. The staff was very helpful and kind, Janssen - what a lad. Breakfasts quick and nice. Met many nice other solo travelers.

The beds and the pillows could have been a little bit more comfortable, that’s it. Everything else great.

THE place to be in Tarrafal!

THE place to be in Tarrafal! Where you meet fellow travelers! Central location, close to everything: beach, shops, restaurants, shared taxi station, markets...etc. Staff is extremely helpful, constantly cleaning, fixing, socializing and making sure we have everything we need. Delicious and nutritious breakfast, you get to order how you want your eggs cooked. Spacious, clean, sunny room with a large balcony. Comfortable couches in the common areas. Really enjoyed my stay there!

The shower heads in both bathrooms don't hang on the wall which made it difficult to wash my hair.

Noisy Place... get Earplugs!

...loved the personal approach of the staff, very much.* (one was dismissed without a good reason, read further) Breakfast's were excellent!

...The Noise by some disco snack café at the "collective" square is horrible! Sound often on Very Loud till 4 a.m. Last day a bumper, as the Cabo-American owner, has dismissed one staff member (Katia), with no obvious reason... none of any other staff members, didn't know why and it created lot's of unrest!

Very good hostel

The hostel is situated very well within the city. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was also good.

Due to some electricity problems on the island the wifi did not work at first and also after some time working it stopped working again. In the shared dorm there was not many plugs (which I did not mind as I was there alone) but I had to plug the fan far from my bed.

Either dogs barking at night or someone drags a break on ground and plenty dogs don't sleep or cock singing (from 5/6 to late morning)...

Located in the centre of Tarrafal, just a few minutes’ walk away from the beach and restaurants.

Perfect location, very friendly staff and simple but good breakfast.

Unfortunately I slept not so good because of the hygienic cover on the matras. It didn’t breath at all, so very sweaty nights even though it was not even warm!

Great stay!

Really convenient, location, reception and facilities - everything was smooth and nice. We enjoyed. The collectivos leave close by the hostel too.

The hostel was sparkling clean and comfortable, the manager and stuff were wonderful, the breakfast was simple and excellent, the location was perfect next to the mercado municipal and close to the beach.

A great place to stay at in Tarrafal

Everything except those two points above, especially the effort Kaida, the owner of the hostel, put into the communication with the guest, even though she isn't in the country. She was so concerned about everything and offered the best possible to make the stay perfect. I can only recommend this place to everyone!

When I arrived one of the cupboards in my room was very dirty, with spilled coffee all over it. One morning breakfast was served 30 minutes later than normal.

-The manager Mito was really nice and very flexible -Breakfast is delicious (fruits of the season and cooked breakfast with tea and coffee) -Bed was conformable -Had a desk in my room -The location is good and next to the main road(and the buses)

-Not hostel's fault but there were no guests in the hostel the first 2 nights and as I was traveling solo not ideal -I was working remotely and wifi connection was not the best

AVOID ROOM NO 7 -

lovely staff, good atmosphere

room no 7 noisy and not so nice as the dormitory or the other rooms. I fell down in the middle of the night because it stays wet from the shower quite badly made, can’t avoid to flood the toilet area. that is why we did not stay more than one night. Towels not provided - it is the first time in Cape Verde

Meeting point is in a great location. The rooms are spacious & clean. Overall I recommend the place.
