The location was terrific, and the staff was very friendly. It was close to the beach about 1km away with a fantastic view. We didn't have a chance to do much in the area, but the hole in the wall was about a 20min drive away and that road was ok.

The accommodation was very rudimentary and primitive (however, considering that everyone else in the area was likely living in the same or worse condition, I would imagine this is luxury from their perspective.) Water quality being a concern, we didn't know where it came from and had to rely on the water supplies we had brought with us. Getting to the accommodation was a real challenge with many potholes on the route. Signage from the main road was non-existent and we got lost multiple times following the GPS.

Very disappointing won't recommend to anyone. Will not book through booking.com again.

Information not accurate where exactly the position was. Photos not accurate compared to actual accommodation. Really disappointing. Had one look and decided not to stay there. At entrance to the guesthouse there is a broken glass window with a brown curtain blowing out of it that is suppose to be white, not a good first impression. Does not look like a guesthouse. Apparently we were the 5th group that decided not to stay there. Full payment was made before had and did not receive anything back for nor staying there.

We enjoyed the Beach..but our stay was frustrating

The Seaview

Location is difficult to get..no adress Gravel road..without enough signs...we got lost for 2hrs at night trying to find the place...no communication from the Guesthouse host...nothing...there was no electricity or any backup generator...we couldn't make food or charge phones...no network..mosquitoes had a feast on us the whole night. They should install more signs on the way up to the guesthouse..also at the gate...also Install mosquitoes trappers on windows. Also have a Generayor for backup whe loadshedding or electrity is not available.

Road to Coffee Bay is a nightmare because of potholes!

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The view from this premesis is outstanding

The family room was very very small. The little basin in the bathroom just has a cold water tap. The kettle didn't even fit in the basin. You had to get water from the shower head. We didn't have warm water for our entire 2 day stay. The "kitchenette" just has a little table with a 2plate hot stove. No basin at all. Not enough cutlery and no teaspoons. The braai facilities were inadequate and not cleaned at all. We had to sit on our beds to eat, because there was only 1 chair in the room. More chairs would have made it impossible to move around in the room in any case. Provision for this is therefore a necessity. The room as a whole is in desperate need of attention. The pictures in the app and the description 'Guesthouse', are misleading. The whole outside area/yard (parking area & washing line) were untidy and a sore eye.

We had booked a family room and got a smaller room, but the host was able to refund us the balance. The apartment was clean.The location is great and the view is very scenic. Would definitely come back for a longer stay.

We were notified upfront about storm related power failure in the area, but the staff did everything to their ability care for us. The staff was so humble and welcoming. Thanks for that ubuntu.

I suggest the lodge to put sign boards at Main road juntion, at T-juntion and outside perimeter wall.

Disappointing

Beautiful view and very affordable

In spite of confirming 2 days before arrival that we are coming (fully paid) and confirming that we can leave our one car there for the week, they gave our rooms to another group ("we was not sure whether you were still coming " was the excuse) and nobody on the premises know about the car. The other group of people played extremely loud music with big speakers till way after midnight and again at 6:30 in the morning which was highly inconsiderate and unnecessary. I guess you get what you pay for...
