At the Heart of Florence with Private Garden and Parking
About this condo rental
This charming and unique apartment sets on the ground floor of a historic building right at Florence's Historic Center. It is strategically situated just 5 minutes walk from Piazza Santa Croce, and 15 minutes walk from Piazza Signoria and The Ufizzi. This accommodation has been restored (last renovation on november 2016) and converted into an adorable apartment, very well furnished and with modern facilities. The highlight is its private, sunny garden with dining table for 'al fresco' meals. Private parking is also available. There is a cosy living room , dining room at a veranda facing the garden, well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook a delicious Tuscan meal, a master double room with fresco ceiling with in suite bathroom, a double bedroom with 2 single beds, a studio with 2 single beds plus one bathroom with shower. All bathrooms are made with Carrara marble. The market of Santo Ambrogio , the most characteristic food market in Florence is only at 5 minutes walk. It is a nice way to wake up in the morning, have a lazy breakfast with a true cappuccino or espresso and take a tour around fresh and exquisite season vegetables and fruits or local cheese just smelling the flower's newest aromas. All around, there are many restaurants and bars where local Fiorentini go for a quick coffee, lunch and dinner meals, with a vast selection of places running from wine bars, wooden oven pizzerias, local trattorie and famous restaurants. From there, you can also rent bikes to visit Florence everywhere you want to go! The famous FLEA MARKET of Florence is located in Piazza dei Ciompi at only 10 minutes walk from the apartment. It opens every day from 9 to 19.30. If you're lucky enough to go there on the last Sunday of every month, the stalls extend into the surrounding streets. Here you can find furniture and objects from the past, prints, coins and jewellery. It's worth a trip if only to get insights on Italy's past through the artifacts displayed in these cluttered stalls. I live close by and available 24/7.

We loved the very personal apartment near Sant Ambrogio with its restaurants, cafes and various stores. Especially for those, who love cooking..., you'll be surprised to find a very well equipped and suitable kitchen. In a classic sense. And as there's the famous dayly market with a vast variety of best and fresh italian products - only 3 minutes from the apartment - cooking pleasure for you and your family or friens is guaranteed. We loved it: early in the morning to the market, then exploring Florence all day, then dinner- delight "at home" in the evening. Lookin' foreword to another stay in Florence.

Lovely home in a safe and convenient location. Close to great restaurants, attractions, and bus stop. It is less than 30min walk to the train station, which is important as it is difficult to reserve or stop a taxi.
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable.
Took off one star for the following reasons:
1) There was some smell like wet carpet in the home, although there was no carpet in the home.
2) The road noise and the noise from the building door opening and closing was really loud. If you are light sleeper this can be an issue and cannot be avoided as the apartment is on the ground floor.

Christina was very friendly and helpful to give us a tour of the apartment when we arrived. (She made sure we knew how to get into the doors, etc). We had Christina's contact info, but we didn't need any more assistance.
My friends and I were very comfortable during our stay. It was nice for all of us to sit at the table outside in the early evening. It felt like a friend's home instead of a sterile rental property.
It was easy to take a bus from the train station. It was a convenient location to the places we wanted to go. The pizza was great at Le Carceri on the next street over.

Christina's house is beautiful and well furnished. We stayed there a week with 4 adults and 2 young kids. The backyard/parking was perfect to have a late diner after putting the kids to sleep. The location is great, it's a walking distance of most of the attraction.
Only downside with the house is the wifi, it was unusable for most of our stay.

Christina was a terrific, friendly, and very responsive host. She met us at the apartment and graciously explained how everything worked and shared wonderful recommendations about eating, places to visit, day trips, etc. The apartment is centrally located in the beautiful historic district and within walking distance to unlimited restaurants, attractions, supermarkets, shops, etc. Parking our car within the premises and the ability to do day trips was a big plus. The kitchen was very useful, the a/c worked perfectly, the bedrooms were quite spacious and nicely decorated. We felt right at home, and we thank Christina for being an exceptional hostess - all of her recommendations were a big hit and they contributed to our enjoyment of Florence. WE'LL BBACK!

Cristina was wonderful, met us at the apartment and showed us how to work everything, as well as how to get to the local market, grocery store, and great restaurant!. As I was traveling with two teenagers, I appreciated that everyone got to have their own space. There was plenty of amenities. I liked that the owner was so quick to respond to communication prior to our arrival, and was flexible when we had flight delays that ended up pushing back our arrival. Would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I visited Florence with our son and daughter-in-law and stayed in Christina's lovely home. It was so clean, bright and charming. We enjoyed sipping wine in the evenings on the patio. Having a washing machine was a nice plus. The home is exactly as pictured and in a great location. Christina was such a lovely hostess. Communication was quick and easy and she had so many helpful suggestions. I hope we can return to Florence one day and stay in this lovely home.

Beautiful, unique apartment; love the sunroom and outside patio. Walking distance to so many sites; dangerously close to cafes and pasticcerias!
Christina was very welcoming and professional. Highly recommend her apartment.

Beautiful old apartment in a great location. Fantastic host with excellent communication! Plants on terrace need attention and apartment had an unpleasant smell, not overwhelming, just not fresh. Would definitely recommend.

Such an amazing property. We felt immersed in the Florence culture and had the best time exploring Florence. Such a great location. You have to try the pizza place across the street. They are the best!

We absolutely loved this property! It was very well located and had everything we needed. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything to pull together breakfast or a meal. The little details like outlet converters, soaps, blow dryer, paper products etc. were very much appreciated. The back yard space was lovely. We had five adults and were all comfortable. Christina responded quickly when we had questions. We will not hesitate to book this property again!

Family trip to Florence
We were two adults and three college age kids. It was our first trip to Florence. The apartment was perfect. Plenty of beds, two full baths, air conditioning! We really enjoyed the apartment, location, and the market near by. Christina was a wonderful host. She greeted us at the property and walked us through the space. She quickly responds if you have a question. She was great and really helped us with questions and changes to our stay. Highly recommend this property.

Absolutely fantastic.
We loved staying here and already miss it. The photos don't do it justice as it feels much bigger and more grand. The market is fantastic. Everything in the flat is top notch and up to date. Our host was also fantastic and super helpful. We shall be back for sure. Highly recommended.

We have been staying in this area of Florence for a few years now because its away from the touristy areas. We enjoy immersing ourselves in a locals neighborhood. The apartment is quiet and has a nice outdoor patio. With the washing machine and dishwasher you have all the comforts of home.
Christina met us at the apartment and gave us the quick tour and said she would be willing to assist in anything we may need(restaurant recommendations, directions, etc.) She was extremely helpful and courteous.
Great location, quiet, clean and helpful property manager..fills all our requirements. Highly recommend this property.

Great Option for Florence
My wife and three teenage daughters stayed at Christina's apartment during January 2017. The apartment was perfect for our 4 days, well located just on the edge of the central Florence area with great access to local restaurants, bars, supermarkets and an easy walk to the main attractions.
The apartment had all the appliances and comfort required and made our stay very enjoyable. It would be a good apartment for both winter and summer given it is ground floor with a small garden. It has good heating and cooling.
Christina was very helpful with the apartment and details on the local area. Highly recommended.

My husband and I, our two college aged sons and my parents spent Christmas in this apartment. The location was terrific and Christina was very helpful. She greeted us at the apartment and showed us around and gave a list of restaurant recommendations. The apartment was nice but the bedroom with the two twin beds was too small for my sons, but fine for smaller children. My parents slept in the front bedroom as it was a bit larger and my father is quite tall. It was nice but is on a busy street which they found to be a bit noisy with cars and scooters driving by late at night. The building itself was very nice and clean and everything worked well. Overall, I would stay here again but probably only with 4 adults or if you have smaller children. The location is within walking distance of Santa Croce church, Saint Ambrosia market and even easily walking distance to the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio along with many great restaurants and cafes.

#9 Ghibellina was perfetto!
My family stayed there for 6 nights - 4 adults and 1 senior (88, uses a cane). The apartment was cozy, comfortable and was perfectly lovely in every way for our stay in Florence. Christina spent time with us when we first got there to make sure we understood how to use the appliances, set the air conditioning, how to shut up the windows when we left; she showed us on the map where local stores and the market were - very helpful! There are many restaurants within easy walking distance - we had absolutely no complaints about the location of the apartment. We sat out on the patio one late afternoon - the apartment has a very sweet little garden with a table and chairs. My rickety old mother was very comfortable in the front room with the attached bathroom. The tub was nice for someone with mobility challenges, although I did want to help her when she bathed - safety first, as she was on "unfamiliar" territory. But the shower head on a handle was extremely helpful. We" kids" had the two back rooms and were happy as well. When I come back to Florence - and I will because I fell in love with Firenze - I will plan to stay at #9 Ghibellina!

Excellent apartment in the middle of everything
Everything was perfect at the apartment. Nicely located on a (fairly) quiet street in the old part of town. The front bedroom can get noisy on weekend nights even when the window is closed. If you are a light sleeper, you should take the back bedroom. Easy walking distance to all of the main sites. 15 to 20 minute walk to train station, quicker on the bus but take a taxi when you have luggage since the buses fill up quickly.
The apartment was everything as described and Christina went thru the entire apartment letting us know how things worked. The kitchen was great but could use some larger coffee mugs for us americans who love their coffee in the morning. There is a clothes washer in the basement but no dryer, which is common in europe.
There is a drying rack which worked out fine.
There are many restaurants in the area that cater to locals. There is one in the courtyard just across the street which was wonderful. You should ask Christina to point it out and give it a try.
If we ever make it back, we would certainly stay there again.
