Exceptional

A very roomy apartment with old world charm. Very, very central. On a free-walking tour, the guide brought us up the street because it best represents the roads and houses in the 17th century.

If you want an old medieval feeling, close to shops and history, this is the place

Location in Gamla Stan. Great atmosphere.

Stairs. But that’s how old buildings work, so it’s not really a complaint. Outside noise. We had the windows open and the street noise (young party people, street cleaners, church bells) could be problematic. But if you travel with ear plugs like I do it wasn’t any impediment to sleep. Again, if you want to be where “the action is” you should be prepared. Be efficient with your showers to save hit water for your fellow apt mate. So I guess these aren’t complaints but more like “good to know” for anyone thinking about staying here. I’d stay here again.

A taste of Stockholm's domestic past

Charming, quirky, historical property is located right in the central Old Town, which has all the bars, restaurants and souvenirs you could desire. Easy walking on cobbles to major landmarks and public transport. Many streets are pedestrian. It's spacious, light filled and very comfortable. There's a balcony with a rooftop view, a real coffee machine, two wcs and a hot shower. We particularly were grateful for the washing machine.

There are lots of stairs of different sizes. I had to watch my step, but my family had no problems at all. The streets aren't really accessible by car, which is also a good thing, but taxis can't get to the door so we had to walk a little way with our bags.

We liked the apartment and it’s location, but perhaps not ideal for us tall people.

The location was great.

The lack of headroom in the upper floors, and the lack of privacy between the bedrooms.

Unique & Comfortable. Loved the historic feel of the building and property. Comfy beds. Nice terrace on top floor.

Excellent accomodation in a great location. Would stay again.

Fantastic location in the heart of the old town. Balcony and bedroom with great views of Stockholm. Warm apartment and amazing bath tub with jets. Free transfer from the airport. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher meant we saved lots of money eating out.

Difficult climb up multiple flights of stairs. Some low beams in the apartment.

Excellent apartment in an excellent location. Would recommend to anyone visiting Stockholm!

Spacious, well-appointed multi-level apartment. The interior had felt an authentic part of this historic area, while offering all modern comforts and convenience. Excellent!

Very good

Location is perfect. It's 50 meters from most famous square in old town. The apartment is rustical, it matches the old town vibe.

Low ceiling in bedrooms. Even if you are non a tall person, you might hit your head few times in the low placed beams. But the living room has normal ceilings.

Nice apartment in historic building in old town

Top floor apartment in fascinating and historic 17th century town house in the Gamla Stan old town area of Stockholm, the balcony on the very top floor gives great views over the old town; would be especially nice to sit out in summer. Lots of good cafes (recommend Café Krans for cinnamon buns), bars and restaurants on doorstep. Excellent base for exploring old town and beyond, very close to Stortorget and Christmas market, Royal Palace, Nobel museum etc., literally a couple of minutes walk from front door. Easy to get around on foot and also by public transport; there is a subway station only a few minutes walk away. You can also get a ferry across the harbour to the museum area - highly recommend a visit to the Vasa Museum, absolutely unique. Overall nice, comfortable apartment. Good for short Christmas city break.

This is an old historic building, so bear that in mind. Apartment is spread over three floors at top of tall building accessed by narrow winding staircase, not so good if you have lots of heavy luggage. Lower floor contains kitchen and lounge/dining area which is comfortable enough; steep stairs to next floor with bedroom and bathroom - this floor has a very low ceiling, you are guaranteed to hit your head on the beams unless you are very careful or not very tall - maybe 5ft 3in / 160cm or less. Another steep set of stairs to top floor bedroom. It's a nice apartment but not suitable for families with young children, not a problem for us, but they should make that clear, and it wouldn't be great for anybody with mobility problems. Larger pillows and bath towels would be nice. None of this would stop us staying here again.

The location is great ! The apartment has amazing atmosphere. If you want to explore the city, I really recommend this place for visit in Stockholm.

good but lack of comfort especially for a family

We liked : very good geographic location, a lot of equipment (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven ...), staff available if needed (taxi reservation)

What we did not like : Bad quality of some equipment (the bathtub was not stable (dangerous for child), the outside of the refrigerator was very hot (disturbing), the child's bed was an inflatable mattress), impossible to obtain an invoice after several requests.

An excellent apartment in a great location

The location was excellent - we could walk to museums and other places easily. We enjoyed the apartment - it was well setup and the bed was great. There was plenty of food options if needed within 10 minutes walk
