The property is in great location as described on website. Manager was very responsive to calls and acted immediately to fix issues. My only negative was not enough plates towels cups only 5 of each. Very limited even toilet paper and paper towels ran out. Need more stock ..

The host was very responsive to my many questions. Check in was available on time. Maybe I didn't read the listing details closely enough but it is valuable to know in advance that this is an old Victorian that was changed into three separate apartments. A on the first floor, B on the 2nd and C on the 3rd. No elevators if you need them. Updated with modern appearance and colors but very sparsely decorated, which for us was not a problem or a negative at all. Very convenient to the small downtown of Watkins Glen. Only one block walk to the historic start finish line of the 1948 Grand Prix and another block to the amazing State Park buildings. Valuable to us was the adequate parking for a truck and car trailer beside the house. Next door neighbor was very friendly and welcomed us to the neighborhood. Quite a pleasant touch. Our unit B had three bedrooms with 4 queen beds.total. two full baths.

Great house with great space!
My friends and I stayed here for our girls weekend. The house had a great amount of space and the location was within walking distance to a lot of shops/restaurants which we loved! The house was very clean and exactly as pictured. It would be great if a full length mirror could be added somewhere in the house and extra blankets would be a great addition as well!

The apartment was exactly as advertised. It was very clean, roomy with well-stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Beautifully-renovated and decorated. Three couples were so comfortable - we would highly recommend for a group or big family to enjoy Watkins Glen & surrounding Finger Lakes Region!!

I rent in the finger lakes once or twice every year going on about 12 years now. This property, while comparable in price and space to what we typically rent, was the only place I felt was not adequately clean. Bathrooms and kitchen were fine clean enough, which is obviously important. Still probably at the bottom of what we have experienced for this price, but clean enough that I didn’t see an issue. But I had a hard time understanding how somebody could rent a place like this given some of the other conditions. The window sills, especially in the largest bedroom, were gross. The sill and blinds were caked with dust/grime to the point where I had to tell my kids to just stay away from it. The comforter on my bed had some brownish smear on it. The couch in the living room had a huge mark on it like something was spilled on it. The bedroom carpets were all blotched with stains in the doorway like they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. We were there for an hour and the floors turned our socks black. The listing said it is air conditioned, but there’s an AC unit in the kitchen, no AC in the bedrooms. I assume that is why there was a floor fan placed in our room, but that fan was absolutely disgusting. I can’t imagine anyone turning that on with all the dirt that was on the cage and fan blades. The worst thing, though, was the doors. The front door of the house has absolutely no security. You can just walk in the front door. No lock. That gives you access to two units’ doors inside the building. Our unit had a key code deadbolt that slid into a plate that was held in place by wood screws (not the type of screws meant for an external door deadbolt). It was so loose that it slid out of place and the deadbolt would fail to automatically lock so I had to fix it to keep it in place to lock up. But with the loose wood screws, anyone could just put their shoulder into that door and break through the frame with little effort. It was pretty unbelievable. I’m really not very picky when it comes to hotels/rentals, but this was just too much for given what we spent. I’m still frustrated that we ended up choosing this property and spending that kind of money for it.

We rented this property in 2021 from Aug 8-11.
The location of this property is awesome, it is only a couple blocks away from Watkins Glen State Park, and a few blocks from Lake Seneca. The property has been renovated and spacious, however the biggest issue is that there is only one A/C unit in the kitchen and no AC in any of the bedrooms. Some rooms have ceiling fans and others have a portable fan, but during August with 90 degree days it got kind of hot. Other minor issues were with the toilet seats not being attached very securely and the linens seemed pretty old.
Otherwise, we had a great stay at this property.

My family of five really enjoyed our stay. There was room for us to spread out, and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch. The unit was quite clean, but the front hallway and stairs were very dirty. So I was relieved when we made it inside. Cute coffee shop across the street. The waterfront is just a few blocks away, and the amazing Watkins Glen State Park as well. We also made our way to Clute Park and enjoyed paddle boarding and relaxing by the water. If I return to Watkins Glen, I'd happily stay here again.

Great stay! Plenty of space for 6 adults. Only thing I would say is have more towels available consider the amount of people staying at these properties. Also another set of bedding and some extra blankets would be very helpful.

Nice Weekend
The apartment itself was very nice, clean, and had everything we needed. The common area, and steps leading to the apartment was dirty, and didn't have the best smell. The parking area was sizable, but had stone, and stone dust. It was very murky, and dirty due to the rainy conditions.

Really enjoyed staying here - it was extremely clean and well kept! Courtney was also very helpful and easy to get in touch with. Thank you! Perfect for our trip. For future renters: we could hear the upstairs neighbors moving around a lot, not a problem at all, but something to note.
