The staff was extremely kind and friendly. I genuinely really enjoyed my stay in Dune and it was quite amazing. I would definitely recommend and come again, but in the Dune or Cottage area. I think these two have the best location and value for money. Plus the beaches are beyond beautiful and from Dune
you have about 10-100m to the beach. Even if you are 100m away, the views are incredible, so Dune and Cottages are what I would pick again.

The “resort” if you can even call it that, was a huge disappointment. The food is barely edible, the staff is untrained, ignorant and borderline rude. The facilities and buildings are dirty, old and absolutely need reparation and maintanence.

Great resort with many different types
of rooms to cater for most guests.
Thank you for allowing to move to Borgo
Unfortunately Dune was not for us, after 1 evening we decided to move to Borgo Cala Moresca Arbatax as we found this part of resort more relaxing and more what we were looking for, travelling as a couple we prefer less of a
family atmosphere and more of a relaxed atmosphere with not many children.

The only great thing is the location and the design of the village. The village includes a natural park with animals which is worth to see. The coast is beautiful. Some staff is very friendly and helpful.
We have been sold a 4 stars resort but unfortunately it’s not even close to it, though we paid the price for it. We had to deal with a blackout for one night and we didn’t have any hot water the next day. You are isolated from Wi-Fi and phone signal. Everything looks old due to a big lack of maintenance (pictures are most likely been taken when they first opened). The breakfast was just ok but don’t expect a 4 star quality. We also heard 2 from the chef staff having an argument while they were cooking the eggs for us, then heard one of them swearing. We heard from other guests the buffet lunch and dinner was also quite bad as other reviews mentioned. To move around the village you have to get a very uncomfortable open roof old bus which is every 30 minutes until midnight only, the seats are extremely hot and sometime you are left under the direct sun while the driver takes his 10 minutes break, even with 37 degrees outside. Trust me, you must take the bus to move around the areas of the village as everything is uphill and not a short distance. They should have at least one every 15 minutes. They sell themselves as eco resort but we have seen metal ladders thrown on the rocks (dune side) and big parts of their plastic wharf inside the sea!! Some cleaners do not speak neither Italian or English. The manager of Dune was great but she looked overloaded of work and was rushing all the time, it really seemed they didn’t have enough staff and the few were not properly trained. A member of staff was sanding down a completely rusted rail above the restaurant while people were walking under its toxic dust. The rooms smells mouldy and we could find some mould inside the wardrobe including dust inside the drawers. The phone in the room hasn’t been cleaned for months as it had a layer of dust on it and the floor didn’t look well cleaned and with hairs from previous guests. The basin was clogged.

It was a very cool location, easy beach access which was amazing, great access to different facilities, clean and tidy food
The food was very average (felt like a canteen), and the rooms were quite small, even though we booked a sea, hoping to have a better view of the water.
Overall a great experience though!!

to be honest when I booked I wasn’t expecting to be a massive resort, it’s absolutely beautiful, unreal!
the fact, our parking was very far from the rooms, the options are limited as we had just a buss to get to the parking.

looked beautiful
food was appalling and staff lied about facilities that were available when they weren’t.

Arbatax Park in Sardinia is a great resort. It's big enough to be interesting, but not so big that you're walking for hours on end to get everywhere. We stayed at Le Dune which was a great location and gave a really good selection of restaurants and buffets. Exceptionally clean, spacious and views from the balcony were superb.

Stunning rooms and location (the park is beautiful)
The food wasn’t good at all, worst we had whilst travelling Sardinia
5.0
The resort is large with various areas of accommodation, restaurants, bars and beaches depending on your reservation so be aware that you have your own selected buffet restaurant depending on which accommodation you choose.
The arrival process takes longer than is necessary (2 hours and there was only 8 of us waiting) due to lack of simple organisation. The lady who sings the same depressing ballads every evening in the main square doesn’t set the tone for a fun evening. If you want a big safe beach for kids you need to leave the resort to a nearby beach as the rocks around the resort aren’t safe. The food in the buffet is nice thanks to the fantastic chefs but the service and set up feels much like a school cafeteria and not a romantic evening for a couple. In general there is not a lot to do at this resort and it is very relaxed almost like a glamourised camping so leave your heels and dresses at home. I recommend to hire a car so you can leave the resort and explore the beauty of Sardinia. Hire a boat in the marina for a fun day out along the coast!

The villas, the ambiance, the beach, most of the staff. The room was great and very clean. The layout of the park was also very enjoyable to discover.
Being cruised by the staff upon arrival before the check-in was a less than desirable situation. When you get to the resort, there isn't a lot of indications as to what you're expected to do: where to park, where to show up, etc. The long wait with the weirdo trying to pick me up in front of my friends made it more awkward.
We were passing by only for one night. The person who made our check in was very polite and professional, although their colleague was looking down on us for not staying longer and explained in very broad strokes the resort and services.
The buffet were plentiful but I expected more quality from them. It was ok.
Also, worth noting that there are a lot of jelly fish on that coast and their beaches are not immune to their presence. Beware, bathing isn't always an option.

I booked a classic sea view room and was given a choice to choose room. The rooms was dark and you could barely see the room through the trees. Requested an upgrade and was give the most beautiful room overlooking the sea. Totally exceeded my expectations. Spent a lot of time on the terrace listening to the sea.
Dune manager is always around on top of things. She's a gem.
1 hour to check in, staff seemed disorganized. Was not given any information about the resort, not told about the spa, requested a schedule of activities and entertainment around the resort but was never given it.
I booked 2 excursions with the resort, they never got back to me as to whether they were happening. I constantly kept going for an update to be told that on one day it wasn't happening because of the weather but the day after it would happen for sure. Booked the day after - no idea if it happened since again, they didn't contact me.
I did however book the exact same tour with an independent company and it ran as usual - no issues with the weather as previously stated.
Food is mediocre. You get wine with dinner but no wine glasses, you drink the wine out of a water glass.
Towels were never changed. Simply folded and placed back.
Rubbish in room never changed.
I had 2 open water bottles in the fridge that did not belong to me.
No tea or coffee facilities in the room
Claims it is an eco park, but give you shower gel and shampoo in single use plastic sachets.
No internet in the rooms however was able to work comfortably from my room using 4G.
Tv is just Italian channels, no possiblity of streaming from your phone.
There is something about the AC, they're super loud. Spent the nights with it off and the balcony door open.
Spent an extra night simply because of the room. I was looking for a place to wind down and work from a room Infront of the sea and it simply fulfilled that.

We would like to thank you Barbara and her staff. They were extremely kind and attentive. We were upgraded to the Suite with a beautiful seaview. Pity that we planned a very short stay!
Shops inside the resort were closed early. It was June though.. so not a busy season

Peaceful and pretty
Hills that killed us at the beginning but that we got the better of by the second week.

- The location: It’s literally by the ocean, the views are amazing giving the rooms location. We got a room with sea view and was well worth it. The water is crystalline and you can swim with fishes. The beach it’s very rocky, so rubber shoes would be recommended. Sun beds and umbrellas are available, bring snorkel as will be great fun. The hotel labels itself as a Eco Resort, but it’s not so much, although there is a lot of trees and vegetation in general which makes very nice to walk around.
- The room: Very comfortable and clean. Room service is everyday and towels changed daily as well. We had 2 complimentary water bottles.
-Ice Cream: Very good Gelato, maybe the only edible that was worth the money.
There are so many things that took the happiness out of our holidays, but I will try to summarize.
- The food: Reading the many reviews we went not expecting much out of the food but the reality was worse than what I was prepared for. The breakfast is the same every single day, no natural fresh juice (only artificial), only 3 types of fruit that just repeated itself. The dinner had red sauce for pasta as the only option. the wine was very cheap so we had water every night with our meal. The quality of the food served is also very poor.
The bar near the beach serves drinks and snacks and prices are very dear, specially for the poor quality of food served. The drinks included on the Half board (wine and water) are only available during dinner and serving yourself of water outside dinner time, is frowned upon by the manager. If you’re staying more than 3 days, I would recommend passing by a shop before and buying snacks, as this will be better than what’s available at the hotel.
- Staff: Although they were nice, they were not professional at all. Very little english and important instructions were not advised at all or were miss-informed during check in. For example, we were told by the receptionist if we wanted to go to the parking we could ring the reception number (which by the way never worked, not a single time) and one of the stewards would come pick us up and take to reception/parking. Ends up that wasn’t correct, that was only when you are checking out ,and may I say not even for the check out this request worked. One day before the check out we messaged the WhatsApp number provided for the reception, advising that we needed someone to pick us up at 7am, the staff wrote back confirming and told us to be in front of the room at 7am, which we did and no one showed up. We waited for 15min and had to walk with our luggage to the reception.

When reading the reviews, I suggest to keep in mind two things: 1)the resort is located in a national park, 2)the total capacity of the entire resort is 3000 people.
The room was clean and we had daily cleaning, the mattress was very comfy, aircon worked flawlessly and wasn't noisy, we had wi-fi at all times in our room (a couple of times when I'm guessing more guests arrived and the nr of IP addresses was exhausted, we had some waiting time to get wifi until someone disconnects - having said that, we alone had 4 devices on us), although sometimes we would have no signal.
The resort itself is beautiful and well kept, and large. There are several beaches (rocky and sandy), you can take kayaks and SUPs for free, there were enough loungers when we were there (the resort was not fully booked though). There is an excursion point where you can book tours (e.g. we booked a motorboat for a day to go along the coast, fantastic experience), and it's also possible to rent bikes and scooters. There is a daily tour around the national park (including the animals), and once per week there is an evening dedicated to Sardinian culture and cuisine. Tennis and other activities are available. I am sure there is plenty more available, just ask at the reception.
Staff are absolutely amazing! Helpful, trying to resolve anything you ask for.
To address some negative comments I've read online:
-cleanliness of the resort - please be mindful that you are in a national park, not relaxing on a manicured lawn. Yes, there will be leaves here and there, hello, that is normal. I was more amazed with how tidy and clean it was, I can't imagine the work being put into it every day to keep it so neat.
-ants everywhere. there are ants, but not in any bothersome numbers, and they are attracted by food. we left a pizza box on the floor one day, don't do that, this is how you get ants. they cleared up as soon as we threw the food away.
Did not like the food. Breakfast buffet is very limited and the ingredients are cheap, you can taste that it's low quality. Didn't dine here, but took a peak one evening at the dinner - didn't look good, once again cheap and not really local. There is a pizza restaurant on the premises though, they make great pizza, also available for take out.
Second thing - transportation to Arbatax is not easy or cheap. Resort has a shuttle but it is fully booked, and I think they should organize additional shuttles then. We were lucky to find another couple going to Olbia same day as we did, so we booked a private shuttle together (280 in total).

Loved the hotel. Definitely would say Dune was a great choice within the resort as pools and beaches were just minutes away. Such lovely staff. Barbara at the reception was truly the nicest receptionist we have ever met!

Nice room with a nice view (cuz we paid for a sea view)
It was humid in the room
The bed and the bedsheets were not comfortable
On the day of departure we waited over 30 minutes for someone to come pick us up at our little cottage…
We didn’t like the fact that the park was so big and that our car was left at the entrance, very far from everything

This was a slice of heaven on Sardinia. The property was spectacular and service outstanding. We met great people while staying as well. Staff went above and beyond and the food was great. The pool and the beach were huge wins for this hotel.
For us the only downside was the weather. It rained heavily for 24 hours!

Everything!
We stayed there for 2 nights and we were really lucky to have been upgraded to one of the Suite with sea view. The Suite was extraordinary! So peaceful and cosy.
The rest of this huge resort is also amazing, with great views all over the place and sun bathing spots at every corner. Just check online the pictures of the private beaches, that's what you'll get and much more.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful and kind.
Although the room was extremely clean, there was some ants (because of all the vegetation around the room).
4.0
Nature and location. We got to see rabbits, goats, birds, and cool coastal fishes.
Good communication with transfer services - good tariff also.
Room plugs are equipped with USB ports - nice.
Bathroom was nice and renovated.
Beachfront, no need for a car to get to the beach.
Everyone speaks and understands English.
Electric vehicles all over the place.
Fast and reliable maintenance-team whenever something happens.
Facilities are poorly maintained and old - we saw door knobs and doors rusty, isolation is not the best and the roads inside the property need to be fixed.
The food is disappointing and of very poor quality (mass-grub, canned products, watered down drinks and juices, wine served in jars and doesn’t look like a quality standard of a 4-star host in Italy in our opinion, industrial bread, etc). We waited a longtime for anyone to attend our demands at the breakfast buffet, even a simple coffee got us waiting for 10 minutes. In 2-3 minutes at the table we were surrounded by hungry wasps all the time. Lukewarm food gets cold quickly. One terrible episode at the pizzeria: about 10 wasps attacked our food shortly after being served; we asked the waiter if we could eat in the room because it was impossible there; she acknowledged and comes 2 minutes after with a pizza-box and placed it on our table and left - just like that; we had to get rid of the wasps ourselves put the cold food in the box and leave without further help…
Beaches were not always surveilled, but when they were, the lifeguards were effective. Beach accesses are not maintained and dangerous in some places.
Bars are blasting radio stations with pop music all day, so not the quietest vacation.
Young and undertrained staff tries to be helpful most of the time. The manager was also attentive and tried to help.
The room was not like in the pictures. When we arrived, it was significantly smaller, since it was in front of a pathway, the choice comes down to: natural-light or privacy - just a glass door, no windows. The bed was 2 single-beds together, mattresses not comfortable and not on a 4 star standard. TV image quality was poor, the room had no WiFi and no cellphone reception. Inside you are completely offline, so bring books (this might be a positive point after all).
Cheers to the marketing department, because the pictures succeed in misleading us.
The overall problem seems to be structural.

The location was unbeatable
No wifi or tv signal in the room
No phone reception in the business centre

Horrible breakfast!! Parking is so far from the bungalows! Shuttle bus - sometimes even 45 minutes waiting. Beach is really small and dirty.
6.0
the place was nice
there was no wifi in the room nor any connection to the public telephone network, the beach was almost non-existent contrary to what one could expect from the advertisement, the organization (breakfast, dinners, shops) was impractical: not close, and sometimes with strange payments methods (need to get and refill a special card to pay)

There are many different beaches which you can chose from, several restaurants available so great resort where you can stay for a long time.
The parking was very far from the rooms/reception and at night (after 8pm) there was no shuttle service, so we had to walk 15 min to the room from the parking lot which is quiet inconvenient if you go out for dinner/arrive late.
