Hotel tradicional de los de toda la vida

Excelente trato del personal de recepción. Tiene lo suficiente para estar cómodo, sin extras innecesarios.

Mesa de escritorio ocupada por la TV, y falta de enchufe en lugar cómodo para conectar el ordenador. Falta de toma de corriente en el cabecero, para cargar móvil por la noche.

Negative quality-price ratio

The hotel has its own style but the furnishings and fabrics are quite aged and would need to be renovated. The description on booking talks about soundproof rooms, ours was not at all. Daily cleaning was hasty and approximate: one day there was no soap, one day there was even a sheet missing, we slept directly in contact with the quilt....Among other things, upon our arrival the linen and bathroom products were only present for one guest; that same evening we asked the concierge who very kindly provided us with a bathrobe, towels and slippers. We enjoyed four breakfasts, always arriving at the same time, around 9.30: the first two mornings the buffet was very varied and plentiful, while the other two mornings there was much less variety of desserts, the savory trays were half empty and above all the staff, different from the previous days, were not up to the task... we asked for an espresso and a cup was brought to us full to the rim.... on the last day we asked for a short espresso, helping ourselves with the translator into Spanish for fear of not being clear... we always received a "swill", sorry for the term, which looked like an American coffee in a small cup. So, what can I say, for being a 4 stars, we're not quite there!

Madrid a cambiado mucho y para mejor en los ultimos años, es de las mejores capitales de Europa.

La seguridad de Madrid, nos sentiamos seguros. La amabilidad de las personas en general. La limpieza de calles, bancos, sin cacas de perros ni pipis, ni gente poniendo los pies encima de los bancos , que despues nos sentamos en ellos. Apenas hay pintadas en las pareses de las calles, ni en el metro no en sus pasillos. La gente es educada la mayoria visten bien. La organizacion policial, ante la gran cantidad de gente que acudio de turistas en esos dias. La limpieza de los taxis y Cabyfait. La limpieza del metro. Y el personal del trasporte publico. Los precios del transporte, cafes, cervezas y refrescos, no son nada abusivos.

En el trasnposte publico el sistema de la compra de billetes, tendria que tener una tarjeta diaria 24 horas para turistas y estar bien explicado en el momento de compra la targeta. No recuerdo nada más que no me gustase.

Το κατάλυμα ήταν λίγα μέτρα από το δίκτυο του μετρό σε ήσυχη γειτονιά. Πολύ καθαρό, το προσωπικό ευγενέστατο και το πρωινό εξαιρετικό!

Superb

Location is perfect, you just can walk to main attractions from there. Size of the room and bathroom are very good but walls are so thin you can hear guests snoring! Breakfast was good. Bed was comfy. The staff was very helpful.

Good choice for business travel and family trip

Nice place. The hotel is located in downtown and very convenient for shopping and eating. The transportation is also good. And the price is also nice.

Superb

The breakfast buffet was delicious with high quality food and very varied. Also they changed the sheets and towels daily, no longer offered anywhere else I've stayed in a mid priced hotel.

On 1 occasion the front desk staff was condescending when I asked for help.

Receptionist was a very friendly and supportive to all our needs. Breakfast was above all expectations, very delicious.

Beautiful stay, beautiful hotel

The hotel staff was excellent,all of them,we dealt a lot with Mabel and she was super helpful and polite. The hotel itself was very very comfortable and the room was big.

Successful stay in a comfortable hotel with welcoming staff.

Good hotel in the Chamberi district. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. Bathroom well equipped. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Easy reach of shops, restaurants and bars, as well as the Metro. Breakfast was very good.

Some of the decor in our bedroom needed some TLC. Nothing disastrous, but just updating or a lick of paint.

Very friendly staff, great location next to Bilbao station, good breakfast and lots of good restaurants nearby.

Very central location for business. Simple, practical and correct hotel. Room was spacious but antique.

No sound proof. You hear virtually everything that happens around including in other rooms.
