Could not dry my clothes

big space, kitchen , big bed

there was very bad smell, damp room. everything was wet. dirty linen. also when I came, they asked me for a cash deposit and there was nothing about that in a confirmation email or listing.

relatively comfortable chair outside the room.

damp and very smelly, loud at night, people stomping around, obviously long term residence, so it’s understandable, but for the price and location not great. could not get the damp smell to go.

not sure I would stay here again but it was a pleasant stay

ladies at reception were friendly, pool was nice, good laundry system

very rude guests and they took too long yo find some AirPods we left behind. only when said they are tracked they were found.

Nice Stay

Location isn't great but as you would need transport to explore the island the location was ok as a starting point.

Great value for money

1. The manager was very helpful! She even helped me to sew my pants that broke! 2. The room was nice and spacious. Everything was clean and kept in good condition. 3. The kitchen was a nice bonus. I didn’t cook anything, but it was nice to have a microwave to heat up leftover food that I brought home. 4. The bathroom was nice. There was good shelving for all your products. The shower was big as well! 5. The air con in the room was very quiet and there was also a ceiling fan included. 6. Motorbike parking was free and easily accessible. 7. I was in room 101, which in my opinion was the best in the building. It’s close to reception and faces out to the pool. There was also two comfy sun lounges out the front of the room, which were used often. 8. Reception is open 24/7 and has some snacks and drinks available to purchase. There’s also a selection of books to read. 9. There’s a 7/11 150m away at the end of the street.

1. The room wasn’t very sound proof. 2. The bed is a little hard, but I didn’t have any back pain. It’s hard to fault this hotel. I enjoyed it so much I extended my stay.

Enjoyed our stay, but cash only option is not good

We really enjoyed our stay here. A good hotel with modern looking, spacious rooms. It's mostly populated by nearby muay thai gym members. So there's no parties or noise. Convenient location with a bit od walking from the main road.

Cash only at reception... It's very inconvenient. Also the swimming pool was a bit too cold for our liking.

Good to stay if you don't Intend to stay

If you are staying here and don’t intend to cook then its more than fine, beds are okay and TV was good, plus wifi was good so we could use our chromecast well. However, if you intend to cook here, do not book. The kitchen is a very good size, but is far from ‘well equipped’. The stovetop burnt everything we cooked, even toast (no toaster), so all the food we brought for our 4 night stay was ruined because the stovetop just instantly goes to the highest heat and even when you put it in the lowest, it still burns. The pan was old which added to the burning sensitivity, and there were hardly any unitensils, no sharp knife for chopping anything, NO SPONGE OR TEA TOWEL. We asked reception and they said ‘you have to buy those yourself’. Every other kitchen we have had has been totally equipped with everything we need to cook. Don’t supply a kitchen if you can’t use it properly. On the other hand, when we first arrived, staff were friendly, pool was nice and the place was clean. Fine place to stay if you don’t want to cook. But the reason we paid a little more for a kitchen was to stop us eating out, which we then had to do anyway because your kitchen is useless.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at chateau de lamai. It's a great base to explore the island. Bed was really comfortable, room was tidy and clean. Rooms cleaned every other day which is nice. Had a small kitchen which was useful to cook breakfasts in. Hotel were able to help sort bike rental for us and taxi to the pier for our ferry. They also sorted laundry for us.

Brilliant place! Cleaning each 2 days included, nice staff! Good location! Huge nice TV! Two fans! Good equip kitchen! Nice sales for long term!

Cheap and cheerful, have already booked to stay again!

Room was spacious and came with a small kitchenette which was perfect - due to Covid restrictions several nearby restaurants closed early and as breakfast isn't served at the hotel, having a small supply of food was useful - there's a tesco about a 10 minute walk away, Pool is nice, although not in the sun much. Located on a quiet road with washing machines at the end and a 7-11 for supplies.

A good location for what we needed although it was a 25 min walk to the beach - if you're looking for a beach location there are closer options.
