Great location, house needs updating.

Location was excellent. Good character. Clean sheets and towels. Laundry detergent and drying lines. WiFi coverage in house was good. Liquid soap in showers was appreciated.

Broken door handles. No simultaneous TV and WiFi and power cable was shared - spoke to agent about this at beginning of stay and it was not rectified. Not good pillows. Very bad, broken plastic dirty roof furniture and not enough chairs - not true to pictures. Wobbly fridge. Some floors quite dusty. All doors need oiling (wd-40) as squeaky. Overall, the property was tired - the items in there seemed left over from other guests. There was an unused router and a WiFi password info note that was wrong. I think for the price, there were opportunities to make it really special, and while location is fabulous and property looks great to start with, if you scratch the surface, there were issues.

La falta de mantenimiento de la instalación. No funcionó el aire acondicionado de una habitación y pasamos frio. Le pedimos a la persona de contacto que lo arreglará y no hizo caso. Muy sucio todo. Microondas muy sucio así como el resto de elementos de la cocina. Baños sucios con porquería acumulada de mucho tiempo. El dueño de la casa dijo que teníamos a disposición mantas y no era cierto. No funcionaba el WiFi. Si no ponen más cuidado con las instalaciones yo no aconsejo que se alquile esta vivienda.

Nice place, very central, nice staff

The location is superb. The house is big, spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable and it is fairly quiet in the night. The owner paid us a visit even 3 times during our stay to fix some problems, and he was very nice and fun person.

1. The toilet on the 2nd floor had a broken water spoiler. 2. The kitchen ran out of gas, but the owner fixed it as soon as it was possible. 3. I would have wished a salad bowl in the kitchen. 4. We couldn't find a hair dryer

Large slightly tired property in a great central location

Great location in a lovely street. With everything within walking distance. The house was really quiet. The house was large with large rooms and plenty of space for the six of us that stayed. Traditional house with terrace on the top floor and small courtyard off of the kitchen. Good value property on a great location.

The house could have been cleaner, dusty in places. We travelled in January and the heating wasn’t satisfactory to heat the house and one of the bedroom the heating didn’t work at all. There appeared to be a problem with some of the plugs and we could not get the tv to work. The house is tired in places including the bathrooms and not always hot water and some things broken including toilet seat making it uncomfortable. Could have done with some extra pillows on the bed and hanging hooks to dry towels etc.

Shower at the 2nd floor we’re now functioning ( no warm water). Bath sink on the 2nd floor were clogged! Bed bug at the mattress can be feel all over your body 😖

Let down by facilities for lovely property in great location.

location and building

Communication was poor once payment made! The house is in a great location and is a lovely building however our stay was spoiled by broken or missing items and not enough seating space for all guests to dine or relax together. The crockery provided was chipped and again not sufficient for 8 adult guests. Plastic plates were provided however these were suitable for the terrace. The terrace could not initially be used as there was no seating and when provided one seat was broken. Toaster was missing feet and only allowed 2 slices of toast at a time & toasted inside of bread only. Many kitchen items and drawers were dirty. The sink on the terrace could not be used owing a broken tap. The shower surround in 2nd floor bathroom came away from the wall when used as it was not securely fixed. Also sealant black. Mattresses and pillows were stained. Lamps in one bedroom had European plugs and no working adapter provided so lamps could not be used. The ground floor bathroom had a missing window pane and therefore was not secure. The inner courtyard was covered with algae growth owing to constant dripping water and stagnant water in the font attracting mosquitoes. The dripping water was paused by fully turning off the hose on the roof terrace. All in all the number of defects did not warrant the price paid for the property that could be a lovely holiday stay with a small investment.

Needs work

The beds were comfortable and the property is spacious and in a good location.

The bathrooms are in a terrible state. We had an issue with a plug getting stuck down in a basin which the property management sorted out by removing the plug. The same thing happened in the bath/shower. The taps are falling off and rotate and there is an unforgivable amount of mould. The door to the upstairs shower came away in our hands. Additionally, the terrace was the feature that attracted us but there is no furniture at all. No chairs anywhere throughout the house except heavy leather and wood dining chairs on the ground floor (3 floors down). This makes the terrace un-useable. There also is no facility for making coffee and no bins. It's a shame.

Position and staff brilliant but the house needs some attention.

We liked the location and house. The response of the staff to our questions was excellent. We also came away far fitter as there were three flights of stairs to the roof terrace totalling 60 stairs.

The water situation was interesting but our main issue was with the electrical system. The staff did all they could to resolve it but were unfortunately unable to do so. The bathrooms need a bit of attention.

Good for the price we paid

The house was in a quiet area between Merchants St. and Republic St. We ate in a different restaurant each night and enjoyed the live music. When we would arrive at the house, we couldn't hear any of the noise.

Parking for a car is very difficult to find. We rent a car for 3 days because we wanted to explore Gozo and heritage sites.

Lovely and spacious townhouse in centre of Valletta

A charming period townhouse located on a side street. On entering the property there is a small seating/living area which goes through into a hallway area and then into the kitchen. There is a small courtyard leading from the kitchen. A toilet and shower can be found on the ground floor. The upper floors are all reached by stairs. The bedrooms all of which had great A/C and lots of storage space. There are 2 bedrooms on the 1st floor and 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Each floor has shower/toilet. Kitchen was well equipped. A large fridge, stove and microwave, toaster, cutlery and cooking utensils. Washing machine on top floor and roof top terrace with table and chairs & BBQ. Location was good for sightseeing, ferries, tours, bars and restaurants. The Valletta food market with food court is only a 5 minute walk which was handy for groceries! Would recommend

massive apartment in great location.

the place is enormous with four massive double bedrooms on the middle two of the four floors, a lounge area, kitchen and small courtyard on the ground floor, and a massive roof terrace with barbecue and washing machine on the top floor. it was great to have so much space. the location is brilliant, just minutes away from the centre of Valletta with its bars and restaurants.

the maintenance of the property is pretty poor. it really didn’t affect our stay very much, but as previously mentioned in reviews, the showers are all a bit of a challenge (impossibly stiff cold tap on the ground floor, no wall attachment on the first floor and rickety door frame that comes off the wall on the third floor).

rememberable

It was a castle. Lots of stairs. really a view to behold on its own. Equipment was fine inside, there even was a gas grill. Every bedroom had an A/C. We got used to the faucets, but be warned: they literally scream when turned on. Some People like sleeping to the sound of waves, I need screaming faucets now. All in all the accomodation had its quirks, which we did enjoy, may not be for everyone though.

On the downside, the water out of the tap was VERY hot. So hot in fact, a friend of mine burnt her foot on the first day. Some of the pipes seem to leak, which meant cold water sometimes didn't reach the faucet. The shower on the second floor was practically unusable. When I tried to pull the shower wall shut, I ended up taking it out of its framework (I managed to put it back in the way it was). Not to mention there was a thick line of mold on the wall side of the shower, which I initially mistook for the fugue. Also, the pictures on booking suggest the existence of a table, chairs and a sun sail on the roof. They were missing. All that wasn't so bad though. What really hit a sore nerve was the owners asking when we would leave a day prior to departure day. We asked if it was alright if we left late afternoon or if we at least could leave our luggage there and pick it up later since our flight was in the evening . But no further response came. In the morning at about 9.30 the cleaning crew showd up asking us why we were still here. The guy called one of the owners and politely pointed out to us they rejected our requests. Would have been nice to know beforehand!

very special, good lacated huge hiuse

amasing huge house in the city hart, excellent location! very special house, with medieval mood. very big rooms, nice big kitchen with a lot of space to have family and friends evenings . there is a big roof . tha place is quite despite its location. the kitchen is well equipt, very comfortable beds

the house is not very clean, especially the kitchen, but the towels were clean. because the house is very big, there is echo inside. hot vater ends fast but it heats fast as well

Beautiful and big house in the middle of Valetta

Big place in the middle of Valletta, very nice the house with typical local style. Big and comfortable beds. Host provided a crib for the baby free of charge.

It has been very cold days and the house is not well isolated, each bedroom has airco with heating system but it didn't heat much. Normally it is not so cold, so I guess it is not that bad.

Disappointing

the location was great. the house was huge and beautiful and we had our space since we were four people.

nobody came to welcome us and it is ok most of the people do the same but at least they have a paper with all the information we might need.here we didn't find anything, and when im on vacation i don't want to be with my phone on the hands to ask about anything that i might have problem or question about. i would also appreciate some info about malta and some suggestions,too. the house has many maintenance problems, wasn't clean at all, with dust all over the furnitures and the floor (we could draw on them). The bathrooms were dirty i bet that they didn't even use a sponge to clean the bathtub(dirty from previous guests), with mold around the bathtub and the shower and so many more.The sponge at the kitchen was in a really bad condition(we change it), in one of the drawers in the kitchen there was a used mask probaply from previous guests and many more.. these things are unacceptable and disappointing especially with the covid thing. I have been to other houses with no one to welcome me but at least they check and make sure that everything is ok before the check-in.

The terrace is not clean. For december heating using air-conditioners is not appropriate.

Superb

Very central location, easy to access. Good value for money, it's very spacious and aristocratic architecture.

Poor lights for ground floor, very cold in the winter for the halls and ground floor. Few facilities fixes are welcome.

Walking distance to everything and yet in a quiet street with no cars, masses of space, four generous double rooms

A lovely place to stay in the heart of Valletta.

It was a pleasure to stay in such a graceful house. It is very well positioned. Valletta is a gem, so is this house.We look forward to revisiting next year. The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked very well.

Could have had better lighting in the kitchen.
