About this house rental
Nestled in Mentone, this lovely house for $479 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. A great retreat on Little River. This large home is great for large groups or for those that want to be on the river. Fishing or swimming is just steps away; you can jump off the dock and swim in Little River or bring your own canoe. After a fun-filled day, relax in the hot tub or curl up by the fire. AMENITIES INCLUDE: 5 Bedrooms 3 Baths Master BR down with King, 2nd BR with Queen, 3rd Upstairs “kids bunk room” 3 twins and a bunk with full on bottom with twin on top, 4th BR with Full, 5th BR with Queen Bathroom 1 on First floor, 2 Bath on first floor with large walk-in shower, 3rd Full bath upstairs with tub/shower combination Hot Tub Deck, 8 ft covered in front with large table and 8 ft across the back overlooking the river. Charcoal Grill Kitchen. Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Dishes and Flatware for 8. Fireplace Gas logs. Heat/AC. Central TVs -- Cable VCR/DVD WIFI Linens provided Fishing Large Dock on Little River, Canoe down to DeSoto Falls, Outdoor shower During the month of October all rental nights are Holiday/Weekend rate pricing. No discounts of any kind except for return guest or extended stay of five nights or more. 14 people is max for this cabin. 2 night minimum Check In 4:00 Central Check Out 11:00 AM Central Time. Pets Allowed Pets (a limit of two) are allowed in this cabin with an additional cleaning fee of $100.00 as long as we know about the pet (s) at reservation time; either by phone or by using the notes section on the online booking reservation form. Failure to notify management that a pet is coming into a pet friendly cabin will be treated the same way pet (s) would be in a non-pet friendly cabin. This would include potential early departure as well as additional cleaning fees. By rental law management MUST know about all pets in residence.

We enjoyed our stay at the house and area. The house had plenty of room & well stocked for the family. I do wish there was a little better way to access getting in river easier for someone with knee replaced..

Stillwater is awesome. It is so peaceful. The kids enjoyed the water access and fire pit while the adults enjoyed the dock and deck. The kitchen was well furnished and the beds were comfortable. We are already planning another trip.

We had a wonderful stay. Very relaxing and positive vacation. The owner/operators were very helpful and prompt. An opportunity for improvement would be the new ladder and platform into the water. The platform is very cumbersome to use. Would work better if it were lower like the old platform was. Some of our older guests had trouble getting in and out. Also, the piano has a couple of sticking keys and needs to be tuned. Other than those two items, we had an amazing time and look forward to future stays!

Beautiful property. Easy to find. Tons of space for a large family. We had 12 with us and everyone enjoyed the cabin. My only complaint is the mattress upstairs are not comfortable at all. They were very cheap. If not for that I would have gave the cabin 5 stars.

Lots of areas to sit and socialize. Upstairs has many low ceiling areas to watch your head when walking. Kitchen has many utensils & cooking needs with newer dishwasher. Nice big updated bathroom. Place needs a good deep cleaning-many areas need to be dusted like under side tables, baseboards, windowsils and grease/dust on kitchen cabinets. No cell service but place has a lan line for emergencies & good wifi. Very rustic with unlevel floors in one bedroom & upstairs hallway but makes gives ut character. Enjoyed our short stay.

We enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and well-decorated! Neighbor's dogs came to visit quite often and were very friendly. Best pillows ever in the master king room. The beds weren't very comfy but the extremely soft sheets made up for it! The downstairs shower was a dream. Wonderful place for a large family gathering (We had 11 and not on top of each other!)

Everything was good. The only issue was the garbage was overflowing the day we arrived. Garbage pickup is limited. The management did come by and put the garbage in the cans at the street that had been scattered by an animal. Very quiet and enjoyable time.Very roomy with lots of outdoor space.

We rented Stillwater for my dad’s 87th birthday. Being a family of dad plus 4 siblings and our families, the 5 bedroom place was a perfect size. We planned all meals at home, so having 2 full size refrigerators was a godsend! Not to mention the huge dining areas and double living rooms to accommodate everyone. We fished from the dock, and had fun swimming and floating around in the river. Would highly recommend this house for a fun, relaxed family or friend group trip. Wonderful!

We rented Stillwater for my dad’s 87th birthday. Being a family of dad plus 4 siblings and our families, the 5 bedroom place was a perfect size. So roomy!
House was very spacious. Kitchen was well stocked. Loved having 2 living rooms and the big dining room for games and dining. Hot tub worked great. House was right on the river which was beautiful. We arrived on a very cold day and the heat was turned off in the house, even though it was a wifi thermostat. The temp inside was 44 degrees. Thankfully there were extra blankets available and we all just slept fully clothed. Because it was such a cold day, it took about 24 hours to get the temp up to 60. We made sure the unit was left on 60 degrees on checkout as instructed.

We enjoyed this house so much. There were 12 of us. We got together to celebrate a recent high school graduate. There is so much space, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, large dining tables, comfortable beds, and a marvelous view. I will rent this home again.

Hot tub takes forever to heat up,& not hot enough when it dose . Only one person can shower at a time unless u prefer cold showers no fishies in the lake, strong smell at night making it hard to fall asleep. No activity for the kids.

Then to walk into the kitchen and see bugs running all over counter and floor was disgusting to say the least! Had there been some place close to go to , we would have left immediately. This place is filthy! The list of cleaning recommendations for COVID-19 is a joke. The toaster had crumbs under it and the inside was nasty and looked as though it had never been cleaned. All the appliances look greasy and like they need a good cleaning. I opened the oven door to find it had been sprayed all over, even racks, with what I assumed was oven cleaner and then just left! There was a puddle of black gooey substance accumulated at the back of oven. Needless to say, we were unable to cook anything that we had planned on cooking which was disappointing. We just went out for every meal and was in no rush to get back to that creepy house. There was a wooden plaque hanging in kitchen that the top was literally covered in hair and black dust. It was so gross. The ceiling fans, lamps and light fixtures were covered in dust as was the doors and cabinet doors. Windows had thick white spider webs in some of them. I don’t think the room with fireplace had even been vacuumed as there was a big wad of paper under one of the sofas that was on legs with no skirt and in easy view. The upstairs bath had small tiny bugs stuck to the ceiling and there was a a small spider smashed on the door. The book shelves were not organized and neat. The kitchen cabinets were a jumbled messed and smelled musty. They all needed to be washed. The house is just a hodgepodge of rooms with locked cabinets and doors everywhere. There is a basement that you only see when you go down back stairs to go to hot tub or dock. It has a sliding glass door which is nasty and covered with a curtain so you can’t see what’s in there. Makes you wonder if somebody is living in there! It was very unsettling. On the side of the house we found a door going into what had been a garage but part of the garage had been used to make another room. The part of the garage that remained had this door entering it with just a screen door leaning on a nail to hold it up. There was a solid door also but it had a not to not close it. That was also unsettling as you wondered who had access to this and could they gain entrance to the house without our knowledge. It was really freaky.
