Nestled in Mentone, this attractive house for $309 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. You have found it! Mentone Moore's Mill is one of the few properties directly on The Little River and features some of the best water in the area. Just minutes from beautiful Desoto Falls, the private two tiered-dock allows for fishing, swimming and other water fun. You will see numerous canoes and kayaks and many anglers floating by. Combine this with the beautiful, comfortable 3 bedroom/2 bath cabin, you won't want to leave! Enjoy your day on the front porch overlooking the river! You are going to be pleased with your space here. All bedrooms are set up for maximum comfort. You have a king sized bed in the master - and a special note there: the King bed is equipped with a Tempurpedic! The second bedroom is a queen with a very comfortable firm, yet soft mattress. And the third bedroom has two full size beds. The open floor plan allows for welcoming family and friend time in the kitchen and living spaces. Plus, the view is breathtaking looking out over The Little River through the many glass doors and windows. Now, if getting the working member of the family to FINALLY break free and go on that long needed vacation, never fear. There is an office/library space with a full sized desk, reliable WiFi, but the best part is the view while sitting at the desk! You can stay connected, but feel the stress ease away while finishing up that project. But please, don't stay there long. This is, after all, a vacation!! Special note to the reader of the family: The library has been stocked with lots of book choices from various genres. Most of us bring our own books, but you may be finishing one, or you may see one you've always wanted to if you wanted to "take one/leave one", you are welcome to do so. Please bring a book to replace the one you take. And please be respectful on what you leave! This is definitely the place to enjoy a good book!! Since we are directly on The Little River, you may want to explore the area by water, but don't have a boat or the ability to bring your own. Well, we have you covered there as well! We have a canoe and two kayaks including paddles and life vests. Just let us know in a message and we'll make them available to you. We are always only an email or text away. If you have any problems, we can resolve it immediately through communication and/or via a staff member that is standing by to address any problems or issues.

By far the best Vrbo we have rented, the house was spacious and more like a home than a rental. The children enjoyed the library. The host was easy to get a hold of and communication was excellent, she put a lot of extra touches that you don’t find in most rentals. We really enjoyed our stay and would not think twice about going back.

This home is the cleanest property we have ever stayed in. The hostess has thought of everything, and I mean everything, you will need during your stay at Moore’s Mill. The wooded property had a beautiful showing of Fall leaves during our visit. The location is close to Mentone and all the local restaurants and shops. The back porch is large… an excellent area for gathering, relaxing and enjoying the river. We plan to return…Spring will be a beautiful season to visit.

Mentone Moore's Mill is the best place to stay on the river! We took a boat ride up and down the river and while there are other beautiful homes, Moore's Mill is the most amazing. Beautiful deck with rocking chairs, full size windows/glass doors to gaze at the scenery while indoors, lower deck/landing with chairs at the river, kayaks riverside, everything you need. I timed our trip just right for exceptional fall foliage, thanks to Stephanie. The home itself is spacious and beautiful;super clean as if we were the first guests.The kitchen had everything one might need:coffees, teas, spices, condiments, Keurig, toaster, popcorn etc. Perfect location being so close to town of Mentone with it's cute shops and restaurants. We plan to come back in the spring for the flowers and waterfalls. Thanks for everything Stephanie.

We had such a relaxing five days. Our 6 year old grandson came with us and he and my husband fished a good part of the day each day. The house was even better than the description. I highly reccomend this rental. We are already planning our next visit.

We had a wonderful stay at Moore's Mill. The house is charming and well stocked, and the porch with rockers is dreamy overlooking the river. We had a wonderful time in the kayaks and fishing from the dock. We can't wait to return.

Had fantastic communication with Stephanie, owner. She goes above & beyond and gave tons of info. We stayed the weekend for a wedding at Desoto. We were so busy we didn’t get to use the watercraft but it was available. House was fully stocked with all utensils and appliances. Large bedrooms and huge dining/living area. Has nice wrap around porch with rocking chairs that overlook the water. 5+ star rating and we hope to be back.

My niece and I stayed here for our annual trip. Stephanie was a wonderful hostess, with a fun note to greet us, beautiful home and easy, detailed instructions. She is wonderful to communicate with, and our trip could not have been easier to plan due to her wonderful help and efficient responses.
The home is enchanting, beautifully well-kept, and in a perfect location. It is easy to get to and from Mentone or the park. We enjoyed sitting out on the back porch, down by the river and enjoyed kayaking, floating in the river & hiking at nearby DeSoto Falls State Park. The peacefulness and serenity in the woods is just what we wanted.
If you’re looking for serenity by the river, come to this lovely home. You will not be disappointed!☺️

We loved our stay here! It was the perfect location. We were looking for a place that we could just enjoy being with each other as a family but still have fun (and entertain our toddler year old). We only left the house to get food, otherwise we enjoyed the peacefulness of the river. Can’t wait to go to Mentone again!

Being from the city made this place even more special since we were aiming for a quiet relaxing trip. Host was delightful! Many amenities. Easy check-in. Bird watchers dream! Only glitch, our Verizon phones wouldn’t work. But, they provided a Wi-Fi phone so we were able to call home and check on things. Hope I get to go back one day!

We had a lovely time at Moore’s Mill cabin. Perfect spot on the river. We loved the kayaks and canoe and did some fishing. The cabin is larger than it looks in the pictures. The kitchen is well stocked and Stephanie was easy to work with.

We had everything we needed and the house was clean and comfortable.
A beautiful time of year to visit, with the mountain laurel, rhododendron, and birds at the feeder.
Fishing was fun, too.

This property is absolutely flawless. Stephanie is an amazing host and eager to answer any questions you may have. This was our second stay at Moore’s Mill. On this trip it was cold enough to light the fireplace. The home has everything you could possibly need to make your stay enjoyable. We grilled, fished on the little pier(it was too cold to take the boats out this time), rocked endlessly on the porch, enjoyed the birds at the feeder and spent lazy evenings in front of the fire after long hikes during the day. The king bed is super comfortable too. I can’t say a single negative thing about the home or the property. We can’t wait to return.

Sitting on the porch having our morning coffee overlooking the River was so peaceful and beautiful. Stephanie was delightful to work with. Very easy to communicate with, helpful and accommodating. She gets our vote as the best host we have had the pleasure of dealing with!! Hope we can return again. PS the beds were great!
