About this cabin rental
Situated in Mentone, this lovely cabin for $558 per night is a great option for your next break. Guest will enjoy this beautiful designed three-story, graceful – yet - rustic cabin in Mentone. The original owner (Tommy Milham) designed the cabin with a uniquely and expertly blended range of sawmilled hardwoods: wormy maple, poplar, chestnut, walnut, red oak, hard pine, cedar and hickory. The cabin sits on a 3-acre lake that was built from the sale of a ring given to Tommy by Elvis Presley in 1976. Enjoy the serene sound of water flowing from the spring-fed lake to the stone spillway/waterfall while playing outdoor ping pong, horseshoes, canoeing or sitting around the large smokeless fire pit. Beulah (means a slice of Heaven) is the perfect retreat for families or other gatherings of up to 16 guests. Indoor activities include air hockey, fooshball and darts. The cabin features four bedrooms/3 full bathrooms and a loft sleeping area. The large master bedroom/bathroom is on the top floor. It is furnished with a king-sized bed. The adjacent loft has 1 queen bed. The main floor has two bedrooms/1 bathroom. The first bedroom has 1 queen bed. The second bedroom has 2 hanging queen beds. The ground floor has 2 bunkbeds (bottom mattresses are full-size and top mattresses are twins). There are two living spaces: • The grand living space features a majestic wood burning fireplace framed in gorgeous stone and is open to a large kitchen/dining area. There is a 50" Roku smart TV, a comfortable sofa, love seat and cowhide chair. It opens to a large front porch deck with porch swings to enjoy a spectacular view of the lake…enjoy morning coffee or a nice sunset. • The ground floor living space features a gorgeous stone gas fireplace, sofa and chair, along with a 43" Roku smart tv. It is adjacent to the game room and laundry room. This space opens into a ground floor patio that is very spacious. The patio includes a new gas grill, charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal), two picnic tables, an outdoor ping pong table and sitting area. The fire pit is near the lake and has comfortable seating.

This is the second time staying in Mentone with friends and each time has been wonderful. The host Laura was very kind, accommodating, and quick with communication. I can’t recommend this area and host enough!

The cabin was amazing, everything was clean, pretty, and well stoked. I love the lake and all the areas to spend time with your family. Is the first house we find so full of thing you will need. You can cook there everything you want.
For me was a 10/10.
Just a recommendation, if you travel with baby/toddler think in bring your own high chair because is the only thing I missed in the cabin.

Everyone of us loved the beautifully decorated for Christmas, log cabin in the mountains facing a small lake with the spill way facing the cabin providing relaxing waterfalls.

The cabin is beautiful! The area is gorgeous. Hiking within minutes and plenty of space for our family of 14 to spread out and enjoy. Ages from 2-62 and everyone loved it! From fishing to star gazing, this is an amazing property and the communication with the owner was awesome! DeSoto Falls and State Park are right down the road! Can’t recommend this property enough! We will definitely be back!

Family arrived from New Orleans and Beckley, WV. Found the cabin in excellent condition. Kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils, pans, plates, etic to accommodate 14 of us. Kids enjoyed air hockey table and canoes on pond. Very enjoyable trip. (our second visit to this cabin)

Stayed as an extended family (grandparents, adult children and their spouses and children) over a long 3-day weekend. The house was perfect and exactly like the listing. Plenty of things to do just around the property without ever leaving, including bonfire, outdoor games, fishing, and canoeing. Also close to many hiking locations suitable for all ages and physical abilities. Check-in and check-out process was very easy. House was clean and includes all of the amenities you need to cook there. If planning another Mentone trip will definitely stay here again.

This house offered the perfect stay for our summer kick-off vacation with our best friends (4 adults, and 4 kids ages 2-11). It felt very private, but was still a very close drive to the hikes we wanted to do and the places we wanted to visit in town. The patio was our favorite spot in the morning to sip coffee and be by the water, and the fire pit was awesome! We did get out on the canoes every day too. The house had everything we needed (and then some)! The games/activities were a hit with all ages. It was so comfortable and we were incredibly thankful for such an easy stay. Definitely left feeling recharged! Would recommend this house and host!

I was looking for a good-sized home with easy access to celebrate my 40th birthday (a few days early) with friends. I found all that and more at Beulah!
The kitchen had everything we could possibly have wanted and all the bedrooms were well-appointed. Laura was very responsive to my many questions and had someone come out quickly to relight the pilot for the downstairs fire place for us when we first got there. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

We were well pleased with this cabin and all the amenities provided. One of the cleanest and most tastefully decorated we’ve been to. Porches, fireplaces, and outdoor area were our favorites. We did miss having a hot tub. The host was very responsive and helpful. Thank you for providing such a great place to gather.

Beautiful property! Initially we were concerned about our 8, 7, and 5 year old children, who are used to beach/pool vacations, having trouble staying entertained. However, we brought fishing poles, games, baseball gear, football, and the cabin was stocked with board games and air hockey. I am not sure who loved it more, the adults or the kids. The cabin has two televisions - and neither are in bedrooms. This was not an issue for us because our children do not have televisions in their rooms at home. The scenery and seclusion made for a nice and peaceful stay. We went hiking at DeSoto, visited Brow Park and did a little antique shopping. The cabin was clean, VERY WELL STOCKED. You can tell Laura really cares about the property and guests. Several of the adults did have to do a little of computer work while there and the WiFi worked perfectly. None of us had cell phone reception (AT&T, Verizon), but again the WiFi worked very well. We will definitely be back!! 10/10 recommend!!!!

Your place is so beautiful. I love all the woodwork and details. The cool decor and old antiques are fabulous. We all enjoyed the the well stocked kitchen and the large table for seating. The fire pit is so nice by the water. Beulah is truly “an earthly paradise!”

We had a wonderful stay at Beulah. There were 3 families and we had plenty of room. There is so much to do at the house games, air hockey, ping pong, fires, fishing, canoeing and board games. The house is fully stocked with most anything you would need...just bring your food and you're ready to go! It was the perfect getaway for our family and friends. Fun hiking and Waterfalls are not to far away and delicious ice cream shop/general store right down the road. I would highly recommend! Also the property owner was super easy to work with and very nice!

We booked the property for an annual retreat that is hosted for young women. We always look for properties that have plenty of space both in and outdoors to allow participants to have room for group sessions, one on ones or just individual time. This house was amazing for all of our desired needs. There was space, there were activities available, and all participants were completely impressed with the home and amenities. The home was very well prepped with many items, it was clean, and the owner was very responsive in all communications. The home was also very close to a few stores in case items needed to be picked up and it was close to the park for hiking, which out group did. I would definitely rent this property again for a group trip.

The property was wonderful, with plenty of room for the 16 of us including children, parents and grandparents. The kitchen, which spilled out into the den, was nicely equipped and had a big, long table for us to be able to eat breakfast and dinner together. We enjoyed the air hockey and foosball ball tables downstairs and the ping pong table and fishing in the lake outside.

Fun friend-vacation spot
Our friends - 2 other couples with young children - and our family of 5 had a wonderful time. It easily fit our 8 children and 6 adults. The area is so relaxing, but not too out in the middle of nowhere.
We stayed at the house most of the trip and had plenty to do. There are also some amazing parks around!

The men and boys loved the fishing at the lake and the canoes, even getting to observe goslings that hatched before we arrived. S'mores at the firepit each night were a great family activity. We even had an Easter egg hunt and scavenger hunt on the property. The cabin is close enough to day trips like Rock City, Cloudland Canyon State Park waterfalls, De Soto Falls, and horseback trail riding......all enjoyed by us during our stay. The town of Mentone is unique and welcoming to visitors. The cabin is well furnished from kitchen to game room, with the swinging beds most popular among our children. We had a wonderful week at Beulah!
