The house is very functional, clean and perfect for our two families to celebrate the new year with ice fishing right out front. We are very familiar with the region and this location will has us wanting to come again next year! The hosts were very helpful and considerate, accomidating and overall we had a great experience! We loved Moosehead Lake and especially the property. We arrived quite late in the season so the weather was a bit cold, but the house had such a cozy feel. We were looking for somewhere to relax and forget our busy lives. This is it. Beautiful, relaxing, and great for wildlife viewing. The town also had some unique experiences, from seaplane tours to a lake cruise aboard the Katahdin and delicious food. We will hopefully come back for another stay. ❤️🥰

This was our 3rd stay at Ken and Lindsay’s and it didn’t disappoint. They take such great care of the house, each year with new updates (new floors look amazing!). We feel like it’s our home away from home and my husband calls it his “happy place.” It’s in the perfect location, peaceful and right on the lake with 5 minute access to Greenville if you need groceries or to visit the Stress-Free Moose. We also love walking down the road the house is on which goes along the lake, eventually leading to a small public park where you can take in different lake views. We have done a couple of hikes in the area, but our favorite thing is to simply make a fire in the backyard, sip wine, and enjoy the ducks and the view!

This was a short, 2 night stay with my husband and our dog. The view is lovely and we enjoyed hearing the loons and watching the ducks and seaplanes taking off from Greenville. The setting was perfect for this older couple. Minimal stairs, comfortable home and close to town. Communication with the managers was excellent and instructions for entry and the home were easy to follow. Very appreciative and would certainly recommend this home!

We loved this location and enjoyed our stay very much. The house is on a side road so it is very quiet. The dock enabled us to rent a pontoon boat and drive right up to the property. The owners are very easy going and helpful.

The house is large and inviting. We really enjoyed the view of a broad waterfront on Moosehead Lake and it felt private from the neighbors. We enjoyed the decks and fire pit. It was convenient to town while still feeling quiet.

We had the best 5 days staying here and I cannot recommend it more!
The hosts were SUPER responsive- we had a few questions regarding the house prior to our visit and they answered within just a few minutes!
The house is BEAUTIFUL! It had all of the ameneties of home and then some- which is a rare find (in our experience) in this area! The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and the large living room was the perfect spot to relax after a long day outside. The beds were all very comfortable and we loved that the house was dog friendly so we could bring our two pups with us!
The house is within minutes of all of the ameneties Greenville has to offer! And the yard was soo spacious, so relaxing outside and enjoying the views of the lake with a fire was the perfect spot each morning and evening!
We loved our stay and will definitely be renting again for years to come!

Everything about our stay was absolutely amazing. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was well appointed. Check in was easy and the hosts were very nice. We has no issues while we were there so we didn’t have to bother them. It was a very relaxing and fun visit. I wish we had stopped by the Moosehead Meat and Deli earlier in our stay because they had wonderful looking meats ready for grilling and sides etc. Also Jamos pizza had some of the best sandwiches ever. We took the moose Safari trip from The Birches which was worth it even not seeing a moose. We had dinner there after. It was lovely. I would love to come back sometime.

This was a perfect place for family. Plenty of room for everyone. Loved the large deck and outdoor furniture for eating and relaxing. Appreciated the firepit and wood to build a fire. Great dock for boat!

Great location on the lake! We stayed with our children, pups, and parents, and it was the perfect size. Very nice open concept living room with lake views. We loved listening to all the wildlife and getting to see so many deer, foxes, ducks, and loons! Cute downtown you can walk to that was surprisingly quiet. The dockside restaurant was our favorite. We also enjoyed the ferry boat tour of the lake. Communication with hosts was perfect. If you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful getaway - look no further!

This was our first visit to the Moosehead region and the home was the perfect place to stay. Views were great, area was quiet, enjoyed watching the seaplanes, visits by deer and close proximity to the public beach, Lily State Park and town. It was perfect! Hope to visit again.

This is the most accommodating rental for the price that I’ve found so far and also my favorite. The location is perfect, tucked away but also right near town so you get the full Maine experience with all the amenities of home. We were able to dock our jet ski and boat right on the property which is super convenient. I love this rental and I will keep going back as long as it’s an option!

Can’t say enough good things! Wonderful to be able to walk into town. Great dock for swimming. The use of the kayak and canoe was fun and the highlight of our week. The rooms are spacious at the well appointed home, beds are comfortable, and we had everything we needed. We hope to return!

This is our second time staying at this property and hope there will be a 3rd. It’s everything you want in a vacation at the lake. Excluding the weather, we have no complaints and had an amazing stay. Views are like no other and the daily visits by the local deer were a nice bonus. Loved everything about the place. From the views, the location, the large yard, firepit right by the lake, well-stocked kitchen to the deer roaming the yard and neighborhood!
Our only complaint was the weather, but we're pretty sure that is out of Ken and Lindsays control!

The pics do not do it justice! The view from the living and dining room/kitchen are beautiful! There were 5 adults and we had plenty of room to sit around relaxing and enjoying the views. The couch is huge and comfortable. Everything is as stated or better.

This is our second year staying at this rental and I literally cried this morning when we had to go home. The house, location and setting on the lake is absolutely perfect. Close to town but very private, great kitchen for cooking and entertaining. Cozy fireplace for the cold days. I can't wait for next year!! The hosts are great with any communication needed and so welcoming! I even got a gift for being a return renter!

Great views, sunrise amazing, floor plan great for entertaing and relaxing. Clean, well supplied, comfortable. Our daughter (the bride to be) stayed night before wedding and got ready at house. Make up artist and photographer impressed with space and natural light as were we. Hope to rent this again and actually spend time relaxing on the grounds and enjoy the lake to the fullest. It was very helpful to be able to rent both houses when planning this wedding and assist guest traveling from other states and have them in such close proximity.

This location is excellent- a lovely spot on the water, and very close to town. We enjoyed kayaking in the mornings (in our own kayaks). The deck and yard space are very nice for relaxing, hanging out, and watching the many ducks who live nearby. This area of the lake is very quiet (not many boats), other than the occasional plane taking off or landing (so cool!) The sleeping arrangements were very comfortable.
The only minor negatives- the living room is very musty. We couldn't really spend a lot of time in there because of it. The dishwasher was unusable- it was pretty gross inside. We ran two cycles without dishes to try and clean it, to no avail.
If you are coffee drinkers, we recommend bringing your own coffee maker. We did. There's no way 7 adults would have been functioning each day with just a keurig. :)

The waterfront was absolutely unbeatable, we could have spent all day (and night) down by the lake. The location was quiet but also super close to town. The house was really cute and the set up worked well for two families with little kids. It looks like they’ve done lots of work updating most of the house but certain parts definitely need some attention- the living room and carpet specifically. Overall a wonderful spot and would highly recommend!

Lovely home right on the waters of the beautiful Moosehead Lake! We were able to dock our boat at the property, which was a huge bonus for us! The house was very comfortable, and was decorated nicely. It had everything we could have needed for a home away from home for 5 nights! The grandkids, dogs, and the adults all had a wonderful time! The location is close enough to town to be there in minutes, but it also feels private. Great owners-highly recommend!

This house was perfect for our 2 families (4 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from infant to 14 years). The house is exactly how looks in the pictures, if not better! The lake view is amazing and a perfect spot to watch the sunrise each morning.
Ken and Lindsey are very responsive hosts. We had only one issue (that was out of their control), but they had it resolved in under 20 minutes!

You Won’t Regret It
We’ve rented from Ken and Lindsay five years in a row, but this was our first time at this property. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back! The kitchen and dining area are so spacious that it made it easy to cook and prep our food for the day on the lake. Plus there’s beautiful views to take in all around. Almost every morning we saw deer (and even two fawns!) across the street from the kitchen window. We also loved the living room. There’s plenty of couch space to stretch out and relax and it was comfy too! But as much as we loved the indoor space, the lake frontage is what it’s all about. There’s plenty of lawn for outdoor games, a fire pit down by the water (where we witnessed the most amazing moon), a dock with stairs for easy lake access, and the newly renovated deck with the coolest picnic table! We spent a lot of our time out on the deck eating most meals there too.

Fantastic !
The stay was fantastic! Woke up to the loons and morning swim each morning ! In the evening saw plenty of wildlife across the road. Deer, fox, ducklings, and even spotted a Maine Black Bear ! This place is a dream.
