A great place to stay, but make sure you're happy with the possibility of it costing a bit more tha.

The location was perfect for us as we wanted to spend time in the McLaren Vale.

It was very strange to be met with a request for an additional $50 because 'Booking.com always get it wrong '. We'd booked for two, but apparently the price we paid was for single occupancy. If that's the case, and if Booking.com won't sort out the problem, then it would be much better to increase the price on the website by $50, and offer a discount for singles. We left cash on the kitchen table because no one was at home to give it to, and we never had confirmation that the money was received. All a bit strange.

Charming cosy historic cottage, immaculately clean, thoughtfully appointed and well located.

We loved this charming, cosy historic cottage, tastefully decorated with many thoughtful touches. Generous breakfast provisions (fresh milk, fruit, juice, croissants, coffee machine etc), as well as fluffy towels, toiletries and a very comfy bed. Immaculately clean and quite spacious for a couple. Excellent location in a quiet street, near Shiraz Trail for cycling and walking distance to restaurants. Highly recommend SA ebike hire (drop off & collection) and McLaren Vale Hotel, Bellevue Dining. Thank you, Philip & Robyne for a lovely stay.

Beautiful, clean, had everything we needed. Felt very homely ☺️

We loved how clean the property was! It felt brand new. We felt right at home. It was easy access when we came and went. Beautiful little quiet street and very pretty surroundings. The linen and towels were very fresh. Oh and the shower had the best pressure we’ve experienced in a while at an air bnb/accomodation property so we were very impressed. We would 100% come and stay here again! The hosts really put a lot of effort into the property and the breakfast supplies topped it off ☺️

Cute cottage on a very quiet street. Perfect little getaway.

The design and location of the cottage were absolutely stunning. We had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast included was a nice touch as well. And everything was so close by - main street was literally right around the corner.

The bed was a little uncomfortable. It is sinking in the middle, so sleep was a little uncomfy. But we still enjoyed our stay.

The open plan and the just the modern comforts but with old character, the small thing like umbrella at the front door , fridge stocked with actual milk, bathroom with heated towel amazing on the cold mornings. But most of all the communication from owners

Cute studio cottage in a quiet neighbourhood, perfect for a couple or solo getaway. Main town centre 2 minutes drive away, and even walking distance if you enjoy walking. High ceilings inside open up the space, and theres a driveway for a small to regular car to park in. Keyless entry was great too, so we could check in at anytime. If you are on a regular diet, there are croissants, bread and cereal in the kitchen for breakfast, along with strawberries, fresh juice and yogurt in the fridge. Most importantly, a good supply of coffee for the Nespresso coffee machine, and the wineries are only 5-10 minutes drive away. Good wifi connection.

The location was perfect, located just off the main strip and close to all the local wineries. The accommodation was more beautiful in person than in the photos

The only complaint we had is that the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable, everything else was perfect!

Was a lovely little place, very comfortable and has everything you need. Great location as a base in McLaren Vale, to head out for day trips. Close enough to the main street and walking distance to some nice cafes and winery's.

Absolutely Perfect

An absolutely beautiful experience. My daughter and I (hadn’t caught up for 2 years due to COVID). Amazing accommodation with a beautiful breakfast selection on arrival. All amenities were fabulous. We arrived during a heat wave and the air conditioning was great. Nothing I can fault. Close to every winery and the Main Street. Netflix was a surprising bonus. Will definitely be booking again.

Relaxing home away from home

The Settlers Cottage was a great find and I’m lucky to have found the date availability with my last-minute booking. It was cosy, clean, relaxing, homely and unique. I didn’t meet the hosts but they were easy to reach via text. Everything for breakfast was provided and the kitchenette was well-equipped. The location was close to the convenience of a supermarket and food options just a few minutes away, plus it was a great base to explore the region. Wineries, coastlines and national parks are all an easy drive away.
