The restaurant serves food all day long and there were many good options on the menu. The food was great!
Our room wasn't available when we arrived (window leaking after a severe rainstorm), so we were put in a standard room. We perceived it to be a lesser value for the same price.
We were able to move the next day and loved the cabin at the top of the property. The only problem we had was a visiting mouse at night. I guess we knew it was possible because they provided a food bin for storage.

Great location just 10 minutes walking to the beach and to the start of a trail. Great food and ambience at the bar. Would definitely stay here again.
If youre staying at the cottages be prepared to carry all your stuff up because cars are only allowed to park at the bottom of the lodge.

Awesome place! We had one of the two cozy huts, overlooking the beach and ocean. Wonderful staff, great food and drinks. It’s a piece of paradise.

The location isn't bad at all and the staff is okay and friendly. The facilties were clean.
Well I wasn't impressed with the fact that there was dog poop on the way to the bathroom that was disgusting. I understand that dogs can do something like that but it shouldn't take the lodge 2 days to clean it up.

Location near Second Beach is superb, the staff were all lovely - very attentive. We stayed at Amapondo four nights and ate in the restaurant every night. There was plenty of choice and the food was delicious. Breakfasts were also great - lots of choice, and good sized portion, and you can watch the waves crashing onto Second Beach as you eat. We stayed in one of the en-suite rooms, ours named Molweni, and our room and indeed the whole Lodge was spotlessly clean and well looked after. Our hosts gave us a tour of all the accommodation: there are lovely self-contained bungalows higher up the grounds which are being up-dated, and are both secluded yet also have superb views of the ocean. Our hosts Natalie and George could not have done more to help: they gave us ideas for day walking trips which we did on our own, organised kayaking in the mangroves, and took us up to the airstrip for amazing views of the sun setting.

The staff was really helpful, and the owners even so as we chatted randomly and the room was clean and lovely. The restaurant was also great with a sea view and cold beers. It was my birthday and the chef made me a special breakfast. I really felt home, and I hope to come back.
There's no network in the Eastern Cape, not their fault of course.

The sea, nature and the clean air that I was breathing.
I didn't like the dogs around the property and when they were roaming while people are having their meal.

It was nice and quiet, the bed comfortable and they give a generous portion for meals with friendly customer service
Maybe could be abit more secure in terms of the car parking but at least the backpackers is in a very quiet area

It was a nice experience to sleep in the Teint close to the jungle. waking up with the monkeys was a cool experience. Also it was close to the beach and the hikes around were super awesome.
sadly we had some ants in our Teint, what is of course a normal thing in nature. would be good to check it before going to bed.
