Was able to book after arrival in Lihue 10:30 PM. who goes on vacation and does not book lodging well in advance. Apparently, we did! So we were delighted in that process. the room was fine, I don't expect everything to be perfect and it wasn't. Yet there was nothing significant enough that would diminish my experience on that beautiful island. There is no A/C. I didn't care but it might be an issue in the summer months.

This property is BEAUTIFUL, but the lack of indoor lighting is an issue and the constant traffic noise not only from one side but BOTH sides of the property and all night long is a constant annoyance! We had to close all the windows and doors to get any sleep. Otherwise, a very nice place.

Great little studio for vacationing in North Shore of Kauai. Nice pool too. Great beach about 3 miles away.

Terrific little place, the first stop on Ka Haku Road. So convenient to Princeville and Hanalei. Very clean and nice. Would stay here again!

Well appointed unit with everything we needed. Walking distance to Saturday market and Princeville stores. Nicely furnished but bed was very firm. Be aware that there is significant road noise although it lessens during the night

Love Poniolo! We’ve stayed here before, love ease of access to surfing. The condo was adorable. The only reason I can’t give all stars for cleanliness is the place looked like floor hasn’t been cleaned and there was food, a sauce container and other yucky items under table and behind blinds. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

The location was great. Great vew out the back off and deck. Plenty of room for 3 adults. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of sitting area. Comfortable beds, plenty of bedding and towels.

Clean and affordable, easy walking distance to shops, groceries and restaurants. Immediate access to a nice paved trail to run on with beautiful ocean views, nice clean private pool. 10-15 minute drive to Kilauea or Hanalei Bay. Would definitely stay again.

Overall, we had a good stay at this rental property. It is located in the beautiful area of Princeville which was the biggest plus. There were plenty of linens in the unit and a small coffee maker. There were towels for the beach, a cooler and two chairs which was a nice touch.
I didn’t realize until arrival that the unit didn’t have AC but that’s on me for not checking. When we checked in it was baking hot around 7 pm. We opened all the windows and the sky light to cool it down. The heat was the hardest part of the stay here and we only came to the apartments in the evenings and mornings before it got too hot. There were two fans that we moved from the living room to the bedroom as we were in each room. As mentioned in another review this area is loud at night between the roosters and cars driving by. The issue is you have to sleep with all the windows open in summer so the roosters will wake you up if your a light sleeper. I had my sound machine on that I brought and AirPods in to block out the noise. I also took a sleeping pill each night to fall asleep.
The bed was not very comfortable and my husband is feeling some back pain from the mattress.
If your looking for a little beach shack to sleep in I recommend this rental. I wouldn’t say it’s luxurious but had what we needed.

The pool was clean and parking was close to the units. Vacasa staff were super attentive.

Great location: walk to beach and town, and the local bus. No need for a car. Not a good enough setup to really cook meals. There was no stove. It was very minimal; just one hot plate. Good bed, shower, washer, dryer, fridge. Missing key issue unresolved. Management was unresponsive. Ok then.

Beautiful and cheerful outside common area. Nice and well decorated inside with some welcome gifts which we appreciated. The only reason why we don’t give 5 stars is that it was a bit too noisy due to the closeness to the road

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Paniolo in Princeville! Wonderful property! I had the pleasure of meeting both the property owner and the property manager and both were very sweet and I enjoyed meeting them. I had my young grandkids and everything was such a good experience. Would definitely stay here again! Everything went seamlessly! Mahalo!

This cozy little apartment was just perfect for my weeklong stay in Princeville. I had friends staying at the Westin and it was a short five minute walk for me to get to the resort, and another short walk to get to Princeville Center which had a grocery store restaurants and plenty of other amenities. The unit itself was not as fancy as a resort, but had more than enough for anyone staying for any length of time. I’m sure I didn’t use all that was even available to me because I was usually out and about, but it was well equipped.
There was just one of me, but it could easily accommodate another person even if it would be a little tight. The bed was on the very firm side , and the bathroom was very spacious. I loved the lanai the most as it was larger than the resorts had, even if there was a little noise from the nearby road.
I didn’t use the pool or the parking spot that came with the unit, but both were convenient if you don’t have access to anything else. We never made it to the beach that was inaccessible by cars, but I believe it was someone of a hike so be sure you have a good shoes when you head down there.
I did have to call the management company for one thing, and they were able to get back to me shortly and resolved my issue to my satisfaction.
Finally, this apartment complex also has regular renters, which I think gave it a fun and funky vibe. It might not be for everyone, but I thought it was a really nice balance between a resort and feeling what it’s like to live in Hawaii.

We loved the location, the views right off the back deck, the quick and beautiful drive to amazing Hanalei Bay, and the friendly and welcoming neighbors. The unit was comfortable, welcoming, clean, and well-equipped. We loved the firm bed and our son slept comfortably on the sofa. We’ll definitely return!
