The property is in a nice location with walking access to several attractions. The unit is not individually owned and is run by the hotel. The property manager Randy is easy to communicate with but the front desk staff is less than friendly. The pics are about 10 years old and the unit needs to have several updates done to it. The furniture is very worn out and we had to put bed sheets down to sit on the couches. There is very limited utensils as we had 3 forks total. Several light bulbs are missing or burned out in multiple lamps. There is mold in every bath room ceiling. Toilet paper holders are missing and the master bath cabinet has the veneer peeling off of it. We did enjoy the ocean views and made the best of it. Just disappointed in how much money we spent for what we got in return.

Oceans 1 is in an amazing location right on the beach! That was our #1 reason for looking at this property. The second reason was the ability to have 3 bedrooms as we were vacationing with another family. The 3 bedrooms each with their own adjoining bathroom was key!!!!! YES this property is definitely in need of upgrades, ripped furniture, broken cabinet doors, main door gets stuck, but it is a “beach house” so these things were just cosmetic. The AC, refrigerator & comfort of the beds were perfect! Double balcony with chairs was beautiful! We stayed on the 6th floor which was perfect in height for my liking. In this specific area you definitely need to rent a vehicle. There is only 1 local restaurant within walking distance “Wicked Tuna” which has delicious food, but on the expensive side for the average family. Heading north along the beach there are many more high rise hotels with more restaurants and bars that are within walking distance. Plenty to do in the area all within 30 minutes ie. MURRELLS Inlet (which is the farthest) Broadway at the beach, (crazy lot to do for all ages) Common Market (what a nice surprise) then within 10 minutes to Oceans 1 we found hidden yummy breakfast places. I would have loved to have had a local restaurant / bar either in our hotel or within walking distance for a quick bite to eat or a quick cocktail. Other than that the 7 people in our party including 3 teenagers thoroughly enjoyed our 1st trip to Myrtle Beach! All of the people we encountered throughout the 5 days stay in & around the hotel were pleasant, nice, helpful, happy & enjoyable! Special shout out to Randy for responding very quickly when we had initial issues with the code to access the main door to Oceans One and unfortunately we had several issues with our key cards on check-in. Randy had “maintenance” John assist us within 15 minutes and all was good. Randy was helpful and attentive making sure we were settled & good for the week. We wanted to also recognize “maintenance” Tony for assisting us mid week when all 3 key cards de-activated. All in all this was a VERY successful vacation and we would definitely visit Myrtle Beach again… beautiful sunrises & sunsets was icing on the cake!

The apartment is in a great location. But i woundnt recommend or stay there again! The apartment was very dirty, the stove had only 2 burners working, the water pump of the toilet was broken, inside of the Cabinets was dirty, had yellow liquid inside the Cabinets ( who knows what was that), it says that has minigolf, water park and a tiki bar, which that was a lie!! My checkin date was on a saturday, I conplained to the front desk about The apartment mess, and they didnt get a person to clean until wednesday, when the house keeper came and they just vaccum and didnt want clean the bathrrom. Nasty apartment. I would never stay there again .

Perfect location, could improve on amenities and cleanliness

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here! Upon close inspection and living there for 4-5 days there were definitely things that were a little run down, broken even, and it felt kinda dirty as other reviewers have mentioned, but also, it’s an older property and you’re staying on the beach, so maybe that could be expected? When we walked in, there was a missing patio set and only two dining chairs unlike what had been advertised. I contacted the host and he got right on it. We had more dining chairs almost immediately and then he went out himself to purchase TWO NEW patio sets that were way more comfortable than the old ones. We thoroughly enjoyed our mornings and evenings out on the balcony! Taking in the view, the sound of the waves crashing, reading, playing games, chatting, and even napping! The layout and roominess suited our needs well! The kitchen was well stocked, they had plenty of towels and bedding. We were comfortable and it was a wonderful way to spend our ten year anniversary! I recommend this place- check in was a breeze and the view makes you just want to pinch yourself!😍

The pictures on the VRBO website are about 10 years outdated. This place is in very poor conditions, from the bathroom to the furniture condition to the carpet and cabinets. This listing is very misleading as the site picture appear to be from when the unit was newer. I have current pictures and sure if you see them, you would remove this establishment.

This was clearly a property owned unit and not a personally owned unit. It was extremely worn and not very clean. The oven needs replacing. The furniture needs replacing. The beds and bathrooms were great except the floors and baseboards were dirty. We did not have a vacuum and the washer/dryer sounded as if it was on its last legs. The back half of the pool area was under construction. I believe we left the unite in better condition than we found it. With a little TLC, it would be great. I will pay better attention next time and probably not rent unless I know it is personally owned because they tend to be better taken care of. We paid a large fee for VRBO, so I am very frustrated. The staff could also use a lesson in hospitality. Very irritated when asked questions. Randy was nice when I booked, but he was never available when I asked for him.

The view from the balcony was was awesome, I just really wished the furniture was better and updated. We had a leather sofa that the leather was peeled off on the front part of it.

When we checked in condo temperature was 78 degrees the A/C unit was not working. The refrigerator was not working either. Those were the 2 major issues. The minor issues were the door know that master bedroom was broke, the jets in master bath tub didn't work. The second king room toilet paper holder was broken off the wall. Missing remote control on TV in the second king room it had a 7am alarm on the tv it would come on each morning couldn't change channel or watch TV the whole stay had to unplug it to sleep past 7am. No lights in the rooms without windows only bed side table lamp that had to walk across dark room to turn on no chance seeing anything inside the closets in those two rooms either. The carpet was torn. The kitchen stove top was cracked. The minor issue was the unit sleep 11 people but only had 7 plates, 4 bowls, 5 cups, 7 forks, 6 spoons, 2 butter knives, no spatula, no can opener, the 4 slotted toaster only had one working slot. No dust pan, no pillows or extra blankets or sheets for sleeper couch. Only 2 pillows on the king beds so we didn't have any to share for the couch bed. There is a no smoking policy but living room balcony had a cigar smashed and smelt of weed. The balcony windows were dirty. Now the view was beautiful from the balcony. Kids enjoyed the pools they were clean. The elevators were clean and very fast. They did not have very many luggage carts or everyone kept them in there condos. Because we waited an hour in line at check in and ended up carrying all our luggage and groceries from our truck to condo. It took several trips. I hated that the pool closed at 10pm but understand that policy it just seemed so early. We would go to dinner and come back and get 45 minutes in pool in the evening and were being kicked out. We knew after 9pm it was a waste to change into swim suits because they were pushing everyone out of pool like 9:55pm. The condo building is well kept and clean. Just the unit we rented was very misleading in the photos and extremely outdated. It was also very much under supplied for us. We ended up buying fans to keep cool, used our personal ice chest to keep milk and drinks cold and bought kitchen utensils and borrowed a can opener from the neighboring unit. We asked for extra pillows and blankets they told us they were supplied by owner of condo. We again ended up buying pillows and blankets.
