Clean, simple, cozy. Easy walking distance to main street.

I reserved this home for a surprise weekend for my wife's birthday along with 6 of our friends. The home was beautiful and the owner very thoughtful of our needs, including a dozen excellent donuts delivered to the house our first morning! The location to downtown is excellent as well, and on a street that isn't too busy. We would definitely stay here again!

The location was wonderful and the Host, David was very accommodating as well as friendly. Going so far as to putting a Christmas tree up as we were on a Christmas gift outing!

Four 60+ ladies, friends for 50 years, stayed for the weekend to attend the annual tour of homes. Everything about this property was perfect for us. Had one little problem with not being able to get a bathroom door open (no one trapped inside or anything). Contacted the owner, he immediately responded and the problem solved within minutes. Location to shopping, wineries, restaurants, and the river just a short walk. The home has so much character and all the amenities that anyone could need. We hope to return for another “old ladies” weekend soon and will definitely stay at the same location.

Wonderful home, right next door to one of the homes on the historic register...had everything we needed...super close to shopping, restaurants and the river walk. Would definitely say again!!!

We came to Madison, IN to visit our son for homecoming at Hanover College. It's just a short drive to to the school but definitely worth staying in Madison. It was just a short walk away from shopping and restaurants. The weather was perfect this time of year and we had a chance to see the leaves starting to change. The house had everything we needed. The historic place fits in perfectly with the atmosphere of Madison. We'll definitely plan to stay here again when we return!

Great location surrounded by Madison downtown historic district. Lots of room for 4 women in town for a plein air paint out. Everything we needed for a wonderful four days in Madison including comfy beds. David did a great job answering questions and getting us extra keys as the four of us went different locations and times to paint the lovely town of Madison.

Just kidding! Two of my (50+) lifelong girl friends and I stayed in this amazing house over Labor Day weekend 2022. As soon as we opened the door, it felt like home. We were ready to move in. The house is so charming, with many original features. The creaky wood floors were THE BEST! It’s perfect and not overdone. You could instantly feel the history enveloping you, imagining all the previous inhabitants and their goings-on. The house is walking distance from everything in town. They roll up the sidewalks pretty early in Madison, but that’s ok! Just walk home and laugh all night with your friends and family. There is absolutely NO reason we won’t be making this cute house a regular destination for our Girl’s Trips. The owners are the most amazing vrbo hosts we’ve ever encountered. They went above and beyond for us. Stop reading this and just book your stay already!! Thanks David!

Great location to downtown. Enough kitchen supplies to cook meals. Each stair step is squeaky, but that's to be expected with an older home. Overall, a pleasant stay for our family.

It would be nice if there was more comfortable seating and more lamps in the bedrooms for reading

I had Madison recommended to me by family friends we were visiting in Lexington, KY. I must admit the town was never on my radar before. As our family was winding up a trip to the Bluegrass region, we decided to extend our travels by a few days and swing through Madison. We're so glad we did. Our stay was brief, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Since our plans to visit were last minute, and many families were beginning spring break, we were concerned about accommodations. With less than 24 hours notice, our host David was able to get us in, even though the previous guests only left the same morning. The home is lovely and well cared for. The location is ideal for exploring the town on foot, being right near the shops and restaurants, as well as only blocks from the river. David was a wonderful host and if our travels bring us back to this corner of the world, we would definitely try to stay with this host again . 5 star experience all around!

This property in downtown Madison was perfect for our short stay. It was within walking distance to downtown and the river and a short drive up the hill to the grocery store. The home has been beautifully restored and we just loved the little touches that were added within. We definitely will book again when we come up for family reunions! David was such a great host. He really took care of us and wanted to make sure our stay was perfect.
