Enjoyed our stay, property was very clean, well stocked with utensils etc. would thoroughly recommen

Location - Excellent, Wildlife - abundance of birds, kangaroos was wonderful. Combustion Heater - almost too good to leave .

Bunk beds were a problem, as our party consisted of a couple and two independent adults. Our responsibility as should have been noted prior to booking.

A beautiful and extremely well equipped cottage in a great location - brilliant!

Very attractive cottage with large verandas set in its own extensive grounds which were largely unfenced which meant regular visits from kangaroos. Large variety of bird life from the sulphur crested cockatoo's to the smaller nectar eating birds which visited the bottle bush tree near the front entrance. Occasional visits also from the brightly coloured parrots although they were shyer. The property was very well equipped from the comprehensive kitchen to firewood for the stove. Never got round to using the quality BBQ but if we had longer than the five days I am sure we would have made use of it too.

We recall that there was reference to a hot tub in the Booking.com advert though not on its own web site. Needless to say there was no hot tub but there was a very large and effective spa bath which we used on two occasions.

A wonderful place for a week's holiday in a great location

Ellimata was a beautiful house in a wonderful location - 10 minutes walk from town and a bit further for bushwalks in the Gap, 20 minutes by foot in the other direction to the adventure golf and cafe (not to be missed!) and fields of kangaroos and emus. The drives around Halls Gap were also really lovely, as was the climb up to the Pinnacle. The house itself had all the features you would hope for and many more; it really was well equipped.

We honestly couldn't think of anything that could be improved!

Keith's communication before our arrival was exceptional. The instructions on accessing the property were comprehensive.

Grampians perfect escape

Cosy and comfortable home, very clean and well equipped in the most beautiful environment and walking distance to Halls Gap tracks and Bambuk center. We loved having wildlife at our door step, definitely a place to go!

Excellent place for a peaceful holiday.

Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants but very quiet area. Seamless booking, check in and communication. Plenty of wildlife at the property. Very warm and comfortable cottage with everything thought of for a lovely holiday.

Great place, would definitely stay here again!

Lovely clean, tidy, well appointed property and in a great location, you could easily walk to the town. Having both a front and back verandah was ideal to catch both the morning and afternoon sunshine, and was a very pleasant way to pass the time. There was lots of wildlife and we were even treated to a display of boxing kangaroos from the kitchen window one morning.

Only downside was there was no WIFI.

We would definitely return. A very homely and comfortable feel about the property.

A clean, well presented home in a great location. Short walking distance to the town centre. A great walking/cycling track just off the property. Enjoyed the views and having breakfast on the porch with friendly local wildlife.

Some dirty dishes and appliances however more a reflection of previous occupants.

Relaxing and cosy

Very relaxing stay at Ellimata. A great base to explore the Grampians and a short walk to town.

no complaints but there internet in the area is generally bad, this wasn’t an issue for me but might be for others.

Lovely cottage for winter!

The house is in a great location, clean and the perfect size for our family! The views were nice and the cottage was perfectly cost for our winter stay.

Only thing I could think of was the lack of central heating. This meant the bedrooms were cold, but they had electric bed warmers and the wood fire heater made a lovely atmosphere. Though, it was wet outside which meant finding try kindling outside to start the fire was difficult, especially as red gum is a dense wood.

Great location, lovely house

We had lovely cosy winter stay at this house and particularly enjoyed the log burner and fire pit outside. The house far exceeded expectation with a huge spa bath and comfy beds and the location was quiet but only a ten minute walk to town. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice place and recommended.

The location and the size of the property is excellent. The outdoor fire pit was a nice touch. Facilities were as per described and easy to use. The hosts were very caring and answered our queries via sms and phone calls to assist, which we are very much appreciated.

Very unfortunate that the BBQ was unable to fire up to full potential on this occasion. Somehow it only limited to very low heat. We moved on and used the oven instead, which served us well.
