Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. Good size TV (hubby impressed) Rooms are obviously dated, but still clean & comfortable. Only complaint is that there was no milk in the fridge and no coffee. There were 3 sachets of tea, but NO COFFEE!

Great beds, very comfy. Nice selection available in mini bar! An older building but overall still very pleased with my stay, in fact I booked another night just to enjoy the comfort that bit longer! Free complimentary breakfast was above average I do recommend Midcity Ballarat

People standing outside room talking loudly after midnight. Asked to move on a couple of times. Called Motel and they got rid of stragglers, not guests.

I wanted to stay at Mid-City as the pictures on the web made it look like it has style. And yes it does! Classic mid-Century design and many original furnishings all in good condition. Comfy modern beds, friendly staff, heaps of parking, right in mid city as advertised.

It’s good for 1night stay.its outdated but it’s conviniet.the shower too small,and i think the bed had bed bugs.lastly while showering the fire alarm went on.so be careful when using hot water at the shower.

Receptionist was lovely. Upgraded us to King room as upstairs was not convenient for my hubby. Room was super clean, bed comfy & overall neat & tidy. Little outdated, but that is only a visual thing & doesn't concern me. We decided to take up the free Breakfast. So glad we did. Met by staff & talked through everything available. Not only was a hot cooked breakfast included but all the extras . Cereal toasts, spreads & coffee machine. SUPER VALUE. GREAT LOCATION. We won't hesitate to book next time we visit Ballarat. Thank you.

This motel was once a high level of accomodation but it is now very run down. Although bedding and towels were clean, the room was very dated with missing light fittings on the wall with exposed wiring, leaking hot tap in the bathroom & cracked tiles, no doors on the wardrobe and missing fittings on the walls revealing the old paint work ! One bedside lamp so loose that it flickered when turned on! Very dangerous !! The outside lighting is on all night and lights up the complex like a football oval ! A saving grace is the free breakfast was enjoyable.

Quiet, easy to find and good parking. Rooms were a good size and clean. Close to shopping and eateries. Great buffet breakfast which was a bonus.

We will not be staying at Mid City Hotel ever again. It is becoming very run down. Our room 65, tiles have fallen off the shower wall and haven’t been repaired. To the point, black mould is everywhere in the shower. Towels great, they are new. The bed base I believe was broken. We both kept rolling to the middle. Then there was some large value sticking out the wall, with a sign” don’t touch “. We are sad that this hotel has not been maintained, as it’s in a great location and 24 hour reception.

Unfortunately due to public transport disruptions I didn’t get to Ballarat. I rang the motel yesterday afternoon to let them know. My payment had already been processed so I forfeited it. A bit disappointing, they could have refunded me half

Although they seem to be having trouble getting staff, I think the service I got from all the staff on Saturday and Sunday was excellent. Got checked in early which was great and the brekky was pretty good too! Good sized TV in the rooms was great and the location is excellent. The rooms are showing their age though especially the bathrooms but overall it was a great stay and we would still come back as the price was good too! Thanks for the effort to all that served us over our stay!

The Mid City is perfectly located for anything to do with the Ballarat CBD. The room was warm and comfortable although somewhat dated.

Cobwebs, rude housekeeping staff banging on the door at 9.30am wanting us to check out. Check out is at 10. Light fittings disconnected, dirty toilet flushing button. Old cigarette smell. Extremely disappointing.

Bathroom door couldn't close as it was swollen with damp and mould. Dust bunnies hanging from ceiling. Mattress was so soft we kept falling into the middle of the bed. Breakfast was low standard - not appealing. Staff did not portray industry standards at breakfast. Receptionist - no customer service displayed. Appeared uninterested.

The motel was clean but the overall condition needed some much needed maintenance. Chipped tiles, peeling paint that exposed raw timber and plaster. In areas where some wall fixtures been removed old paint and screws were exposed and not covered over with new paint. The reception area looked very old and tired too. Was disappointed, didn't get my money's worth.

Staff were pleasant and friendly and like a lot of places since Covid struck were under the pump, but still remained cool, calm, and collected with a smile on their face. Breakfast was also lovely with freshly squeezed orange juice and hot and cold food.
