Having stayed in other Hampton Inn's - I had an expectation for staff to be friendly and helpful as they always have been. At this location though - when we checked in, they were cold and abrupt. They werent super helpful and not very welcoming.
Through the evening we had people jumping around and playing loud music on and off until 2 am. So that was a bit rough. At breakfast a lot of items were gone through quickly and never replaced. Just overall not the experience we have come to know and appreciate from Hampton Inn - it wasn't a horrible stay - but we picked this hotel because of the wonderful experience we had at the one located in Burley, Idaho. Now that place has amazing staff and was a wonderul place to be!

Upon check in, the front desk stay was rude and seemed bothered to help. Said almost nothing to me. The room was run down with a bad bed, horrible pillows, and broken fridge, and yellow stained towels. Then to top it off, housekeeping knocked and tapped on the door 5 times before 9am, until i had to yell at them. Mind you that this was a Saturday morning and check out time is noon. Bad stay.

Stay was great. Easy to get to food and clean rooms. Hidden away but convenient. Will stay here again.

When driving into this hotel, it may be easier to see the Verizon sign than the hotel sign. There is some covered parking, which is useful during icy or hot weather. I stayed two nights for leisure during the Sundance Festival. Other guests looked like they were also attending Sundance. Everything in the hotel worked! My room was quiet because it was on the top floor and faced east away from the road and toward the mountains.

Very nice people work here and very helpful with anything that you need. Good customer service. Very nice place to stay.

It was relaxing after a stressful Drive and doctor appointment.

Great location if visiting the Hogle Zoo. But if booking through Travelocity your room won’t be as nice as the other rooms.

We really liked how the room was set up including having a regular size hair dryer. They had a great little snack room where you could purchase items (including microwave dinners)f you just wanted a little something. Staff very friendly. Really great experience.

The bathrooms need updated, shower was poor, and the beds are awful

Just a quick night in Marshall on way to Houston.

This was a good choice for us in terms of location and surrounding restaurants and services.

I liked that it was a smaller property, and nearby dining opyion

Not a huge place but very nice and well taken care of. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean, quiet and the temperature was easily regulated. Overall, the property was excellent.
However, I found the desk clerk to be rude and inattentive, not just to me, but others as well. I was greeted with unprofessional, sexually related innuendos like I've never witnessed in any hotel; I travel a lot, too. When asked to not address me in such a manner, the clerk had a smart-aleck retort that I found unamusing. Lastly, after enduring this display of unacceptable behavior, I was kindly informed that breakfast would be served in the morning; steak and lobster to boot!
If this is the type of personnel Hampton Inn and Suites hires and puts on display at their front desk, I suggest they need to review their hiring practices before they start losing business. They've lost mine.

conveniently located to UoU and on route to the canions, and 15 min drive to SLC airport

I love the area that is in and the feeling of being safe. The staff dont seem very friendly. Never got a greeting when we checked in. Almost felt like a burden being there.

The room was a bit substandard for the price. The carpet was pulling up on one side of our room, the pool is cloudy and over chlorinated and the “hot” breakfast was cold. Additionally breakfast wasn’t restocked timely as thing ran out (waffle batter, omelet, bacon/sausage).
It is very convenient location for University of Utah and surrounding area. The hotel itself is kind of hidden by a Verizon store front which is a bit odd.

Old, worn, doesn’t feel clean, no Wi-Fi tonight, awkward access and parking, 1 luggage cart for whole hotel, just not that good.

Good location, my room and the hotel were clean and neat. Breakfast was good. I was however, disappointed that my shower (×2) was barely warm. For $223, I'd expect a hot shower. Also be aware that the pool and hot tub are over clorinated and make your eyes and nose burn.

Near University and freeway. Parking is adequate but tight. Bed, breakfast, shower were fine - nothing special. Wish there would have been some outdoor space and less congestion on the street but it was all OK.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Its conveniently close to a stripmall with shops and restaurants/pubs. Staff were super friendly. Our bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Bathroom supplies were replenished daily, which was nice. Only thing I'd recommend is for the pool to be maintained a little better as we found lots of hair floating at the top if the water. Other then that, great place to rest up.

This was a perfect convenient and friendly setting for a family get together

Parking situation is a little stuffy although they did have plenty of options. Pillows smelled bad and felt like they hadn't been washed in a while.

The room was smelly upon arrival. Then when we went to sleep thr pillows had a strong body odor smell. The people staying above us were stomping late at night and then again EARLY IN THE MORNING. Was not able to sleep comfortably. Bed was hard as rock.
1.0
Horrible. Staff was unwelcoming. Room was worn and the table was broken. Holes in the shower curtain. Dirty pool. Dirty room, at least not clean as it you would expect. Room thermostat was not functioning well. Noisy fridge. I could go on, but too tired after such a lousy experience. Want my money refunded.

I liked how quiet the area and property was and the proximity to lots of great places. Parking was easy and the kids had a great time swimming in the indoor pool.

Convenience to parking garage.

Nice place, responsive staff!

The front desk could have been a little nicer.

Front desk guy kept scratching his head and running fingers thru greasy hair. Almost didn’t want to accept the key card he touched. Front desk seat was ripped up & patched w/duct tape. Hall carpet was stretched out and lumpy. Shower door handle was broken and hanging askew. Long hassock at the foot of the bed was stained. The overall neglect to this property makes me think it won’t be here in a year.
3.0
I'll first start off by saying the rooms were very clean and in good condition. However, when we went to the pool, the pool was very cold as was the hot tub. The other problem was that the beds were very stiff.
5.0
Check in was very easy and desk manager very friendly and helpful. I wish a little less expensive but was very convenient for where I have to go the next day.
