The reservation was for 1 king bed and 1 queen bed, but they dident now why they don’t have the room I book, but that was not the worst part, starting from the office, elevator and the room was very dirty, but the room was a really departed with all the furniture dirty, I’m sorry dident take pictures, but this was the worst place to stay I all my experience

Horrible beds, definitely don’t stay here if you have a bad back or any kind of issues. Also the toilet didn’t work. That being said location was great and had a nice sea view.

Everything was clean and freshly painted. Nice well equipped kitchen. Convenient location for beach and restaurants

The location and price of Avalon were solid. The room, however, was dated and in need of a makeover. Examples were squeaky beds, mildewed baseboards and old blinds that didn’t black out the sun. Strangely, the pool area speaker next to our room was on playing music all night. Pool area was nice and staff were helpful. If you’re on a budget, Avalon is just OK.

I would not stay here again. The room had no amenities and was small. The washer and dryer were broken. There were bags of trash on the walkway and broken ac units. The staff was nice and it was close to the beach, but that's about it.

Very nice place to hang for a weekend. Easy access to the beach and the hotel has umbrellas, chairs, toys whatever you need, or forgot to bring, for a day at the beach.

What a cute place! Old Florida vibes and the front desk girl was awesome!

The property's location is fantastic, but the lack of upkeep and the unhygienic condition of the furniture and rug made our stay uncomfortable...we decided to go to target to purchase new bed sheets and pillows just to get a good nights rest. Apart from that, the toilet seat was broken, there were mold stains on the ceiling, dark stains on the chairs, and mystery white powder on the sofa..we did not feel comfortable sitting on anything in our room but it was too late to check out.

I like the privacy if the balcony. I like the presentation of the building. I like the quiet atmosphere of the building. Pleasant and welcoming office staff. Did not like the smell of the damp towels. Did not like the bed covers. Did not like to see food crumbs on rug.
Overall it was a nice stay for the price by the beach.

Great gem close to the beach

We love this place! We have stayed on many occasions in different rooms and always have a great experience. The staff is very helpful & nice, the pool is always so pretty and clear, our rooms have always been clean, free movies on their cool little tv setup. It isn’t a new hotel so expect an old Florida style vacation rental feel. 10/10 from us we will continue to make this our first choice when we’re staying in the area.

The Avalon was a pleasant surprise for a great price!

The proximity to the beach is great. You can leave your car there and walk to the beach, so then you don’t have to pay for parking at the beach. Avalon is a motel. The guest before me definitely smoked in the room I had. Being a non smoker the air quality in the room was horrible and it did have a big humidifier running. I thought I would be able to sit outside and enjoy the night, but all the smokers are sitting outside their room’s smoking. The A/C was so loud you don’t get a relaxing environment. There are not many outlets, so we struggled to charge our phones. I couldn’t use the refrigerator or coffeemaker because 1 wire was for the TV and the other was for the humidifier. Next outlet was not close by and I was not going to move around furniture. The toilet would clog up, blow dryer was broken, and towels smell bad. Worst experience I have ever had. Couldn’t wait to check out!

If being a block from the beach is important to you, this is a five star location. It's is run down, though not dirty, it is far from clean! I saw a coakroach in the bathroom my last night ! I certainly wouldn't go back!!

Had such an amazing experience, far away from all the city noise but yet still close enough to get into the city. Literally 3min walk away from the beautiful beaches and not congested like the main city beaches. Would deff recomend and will deff be coming back!!!!

We've been here a week now. Normally we stay at higher end property when we travel, but with the tough economy right now, we decided to go economic. Always a gamble!
We took a red eye flight and got to the property pretty early in the morning (way before check in time). The office was locked but a phone number on the door. I called and got Christine. She immediately came down and checked us in early. We were so tired from the flight so to be able to get in early and get some sleep was amazing. She also upgraded our room to a room with a kitchen. Another big plus. And upon leaving tomorrow with a late flight, Christine came through again and is accommodating a late check out. So yeah, the customer service is A+ and a huge shout out to Christine.
The thing to keep in mind is value. For the price, it is an excellent value in the area. Yes, an older hotel but that is some of the charm. It has everything you need. Two comfortable beds. A big room. A kitchen. Pool was great and the beach is across the street.
Now, if you compare this hotel to the ones all around you in the area you might be disappointed. But you didn't pay the price for the nice hotel, now did you? So again, a great value if you are on a budget. It's all about expectations and if your expectations are properly set, this is a gem...
P.S. The Publix grocery store was amazing. They have a sandwich counter in their deli. And lots of other great options too. And their key lime pie there is top notch!!!

There was a cockroach in our room. We were booked for 2 days but left in one day. The washroom was stuck with door.
Staff was friendly. But location seemed unsafe with kids.

Great value for the money. Felt like old Florida. There are too many chain high rises where you feel like you could be anywhere in suburbia. It was a clean room without stinking like febreeze. Don’t expect luxury at this price and you’ll be satisfied with a family hotel. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Area seemed safe. Don’t miss a meal at the cove restaurant and tiki bar. A drive down A1A to see the Christmas lights at the oceanfront mansions is a must. Beach is very nice and only a block away. Has showers and bathrooms. Roku tv. If there was cable, we didn’t figure it out…or ask.

Great location on Deerfield Beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful with local information. Condition of building shows some age but very well kept! Rooms are comfortable but nothing fancy. We felt very comfortable there and will book stay again in the future.

I love the fact it was walking distance to the beach and room was big, but I wish they take out their carpet. Room had a bad smell.

The hotel looks good from the outside, but, needs to be renovated. The sofa was filthy. The bed broken and uncomfortable. It is definitely a 2 star hotel.

I stayed here once before and it was a comfortable, uneventful typical hotel stay. No parking fee and the normal accoutrements. This time I was charged $10 to park, no trash can in room(not the end of the world), no bottled water as was before and the TV didn’t work. Just minor inconveniences that eliminated the possibility of a return stay. The first stay brought me back, the second….. need I say more?

We at a family one night trip since we had a concert in ft launderdale we went to. It was close, 20 minutes away from the concert and a great price. Bathroom was snug, but for a one night trip it wasn’t horrible. Staff was friendly.
