We could not have been happier with our charming but updated apartment. We had great communication from the start and they were waiting for us when arrived to show us around and make us comfortable so we could start to enjoy Florence.Location was fantastic central to everything and a grocery two doors down for anything you may need including good selection of wine. Building has a convenient elevator for getting luggage up and down. Apartment was comfortable with lots of storage and well equipped with everything you may need including laundry. We loved our stay there.

Our family spent a memorable week in Florence in October. The flat was perfect for us -plenty of space and located in a charming building in the heart of Florence. Every place we wanted to visit as well as wonderful restaurants and other services were a short walk away. The hosts were super helpful and responsive.

We loved everything about our stay here. The location was perfect, not in the crowded city center but close enough to all the major museums and points of interest. The flat was a lovely, old Italian style flat and was so charming. It had an elevator & air-conditioning wish was welcomed since the temps innFLR during our stay was in The mid 80’s. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities. We would definitely recommend this place. Francesco was very available & responded quickly to our requests.

We loved the apartment, and found the location to be very convenient.
You should be aware that there is music/street noise that comes from the outside. Especially if you are staying in the small back bedroom with the two twin beds. Bring earplugs!

As a VRBO owner myself, I'm very particular about details, full transparency and have high expectations. So, my comments may appear nit-picky to some, but they are shared by all 4 of us who stayed for 9-days. Pros: Great location. Nice apartment. Very clean. Full amenities as advertised. The individual we dealt with (not the owner) was friendly & courteous when we arrived. Cons: Located on the 3rd floor, not 2nd, so lots of stairs to climb daily. The elevator is tiny and barely holds 2 people (claustrophobic?). Family room furniture is old and was missing a chair which is shown in the pictures. The beds are outdated and uncomfortable. No one slept well. Shower drains were clogged and drained slowly. Could use some newer towel sets (old). Combo Washer/Dryer is small but nice (new). Problem was the manual instructions were in Italian, so it was very difficult to operate. Finally, the first communication I received when I landed in Florence was a welcome text that "reminded" me I needed to pay 176.00 Euros, in cash, despite the fact I had already "paid in full" all monies/fees fully disclosed during the booking process. Requiring an undisclosed fee immediately upon arrival, after the fact, is a huge problem for me. Especially when they want cash with no invoice re: description/explanation. Turns out this is a VAT imposed by the Italian government on tourism. All said, many should find this apartment fully satisfactory for their needs while in Florence.

Fantastic property! Spacious, clean, comfortable, well equipped, and so charming! Italian marble all over, ceiling murals, arches, and a beautiful secure courtyard with many gates to get to the apartment so you feel safe. Francesco and his brother Emanuele were super nice to deal with. Location is fantastic just down the street from the Dumo and other attractions, restaurants, stores, and coffee shops. Beds are comfortable however my kids reported that the room was the two twins can get noisy sometimes with a bar across the street. Also be careful which currency is used for booking as for some reason the charges came through in British Pounds. Overall loved the place and would definitely stay there again.

The property was exactly as listed. We travelled with 5 people. We had enough space that we could decompress after a long day, but there was also enough room to gather together. Yes, one bedroom was loud at night for awhile because it faces the street. But our college daughter stayed in that room with no problem. The location was great. There is a wonderful little restaurant across the street and a tiny store next door. There is a tiny elevator if needed to go up the 3 flights of stairs.

Our family of 6, ranging in age from 28-86 stayed here for 6 nights in May and loved this apartment. The pictures are accurate and give an accurate idea of what it is like to stay here.
The apartment is spacious, the beds comfortable, and the sizeable kitchen appears stocked well enough to do basic cooking if you choose to self-cater. The living/dining room has space to spread out an relax after a day's sightseeing.
The location is fantastic, located between the Duomo and Santa Croce, a few doors down from Carrefour Express and a couple blocks to a pharmacy if needed. The Uffizi, Bargello, and Piazza Signoria. It's also close to Pino's Sandwiches and 5 minutes walk to All'Antico Vinaio if you are into sandwiches. Restaurant folks will be glad to hear Fagiloi's is close by.
As others have noted the back bedroom with twin beds faces the street where there is a sports bar, and it can be loud at night until late. The other bedrooms face the inner courtyard and are very quiet.
We highly recommend staying here!

Casa Silvia is in a great location--only steps to the Duomo and many other points of interest. A disappointment was our inability to get the dishwasher and the microwave to start. Completely baffling! The owners need to leave written instructions. And perhaps the welcoming caretaker should demonstrate how to use them. The apartment also was not perfectly clean. Not bad, but not spotless either. The AC worked very well and was appreciated. The apartment worked well for 6 adults. Check-in was a little frustrating. We had to wait 10 minutes in the street for the greeter to come down and let us in. We assume he was cleaning and straightening up the apartment but don't really know. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and everything worked out in the end.

We had a lovely time in Florence for Easter week. Four adults and two children under 10. Thank you for the great communication, Francesco.

Perfect stay . A little noisy at night because of reverse bar across the street though

We were met by Emanuele who showed us around the gorgeous apartment. Elevator was a real plus. Very roomy with three large bedrooms, common area, and well/stocked kitchen. The tiled floors throughout created quite an elegant atmosphere. It’s located within easy walking distance to the must-see sites like the Duomo and the Ufizzi. Well-stocked market three doors down from the apartment. Highly recommend it.

Property is in a great location; 5-10 minutes from key sites in Florence and Arno. Property is next door to market, & cafes. But it is quiet.
Very comfortable living area, kitchen, dining area, and bedrooms. Beds were not ideal for a bad back. Bathrooms & showers were very small. Lots of closet space, and laundry (washer & drying rack) but it was very slow. Building has a small lift. Great for family and/or 2 couples. Property manager was very responsive and helpful.

From the first second, you will be happy you rented this apartment. You go through a grand doorway into a beautiful courtyard and you feel like you are a wealthy Florentine from the 1500s. There is a convenient elevator up to the apartment. (ok you don't want the experience to be too authentic!) The apartment itself is all marble and high ceilings and beautifully painted walls. Two of the bedrooms are perfectly quiet and dark. The mattresses are ok. The third bedroom, with the two single beds, was on the main street and it got loud around Christmas and New Years. It didn't bother my daughter, who can sleep through anything, but her boyfriend had trouble. We were there for a month, and barely heard or saw any neighbors. The location, so close to the Duomo, so close to two grocery stores, so close to restaurants and bars, yet so peaceful inside - couldn't have been better. The only disappointment for us, since my husband and I were there for so long, was how cheap the sofa and kitchen supplies were. Not so comfy after a long day on our feet. We also feel strongly that the sheets should be bigger than the blankets, or you end up touching the blankets all night and I would guess they don't get washed that often (though I hope otherwise). My husband doesn't feel like these things are worth mentioning since our overall experience was so, so good.

Beautiful large historic apartment on super convenient and safe
location. A few doors down from grocery store, shops, restaurants, and all the actions are nearby. AC and washing machine work well. No problem with drainage in master bathroom as it's fixed.
Thank you Francesco! We really enjoyed our stay.

This beautiful home is located near the Duomo and is in walking distance of main Florence attractions. A grocery store and restaurants were also within a short walk. Emanuele met us at the door to the property even when our flight was hours late. We loved our stay here.

This was a large, spacious apartment in a terrific location in Florence. The hosts were responsive and the unit well-appointed, including a coffee pot! Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not working while we were there, and the weather was very hot. Thankfully, we were provided with a standing AC unit for the main rooms, but it did not cool down the bedrooms. Fans helped a little bit, but we could not open windows because of the mosquitoes. The master shower did not drain very well and needed a good cleaning. But we still liked staying there and hope these things are fixed!

What a comfortable, beautiful apartment truly in the heart of Florence! My 4th time to the city with 2 friends; we had plenty of room to cook, relax and regroup. Kitchen was well equipped.
Emanuele was willing to meet us a bit earlier than checkin, which was very helpful; he explained the workings of the apartment. He also was responsive to questions throughout our stay. The elevator is tiny but saves energy after lots of walking.
While the physical space is generous and pleasant, the location was terrific; we were always steps away from the treasures of Florence. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Our stay in Florence was very nice - the apartment was very comfortable in a very nice area/street which was very close to many sights. The only negative was that the back bedroom does get a lot of noise from a restaurant across the street at night. other than that our stay was great.
