I booked trip through Expedia and had an emergency and had to return to go back home for family emergency. There was no one to talk to about even getting credit for second day , hotel didn’t care and just pushed me back to Expedia and there is no one to contact through Expedia or hotels.com sad as a frequent user of these services I will now only book direct with hotels , this is the one time I never took travel insurance and or took the pay at hotel option live and learn.

This whole hotel needs an update. Especially the bathroom. The shower doesn’t have any modern hand held appliance.

Furniture in the room is old and bugs were found on the cushions of my room. A lot of the towels are stained and so you have to double check them. Clock also didn't work in my room. Location is great, but beach and pool service are done by 5pm, which means they actually start rushing you off the chairs by 4:30pm. The pool is currently shared with the hotel next door and Heaven forbid you sit in their chairs by accident, they will yell at you and make you leave. It seems that hotel staff in Miami no longer care about hospitality or even greeting you nicely when you walk into the hotel to check in.

A very well remodeled, older hotel. The place is very nicely appointed. It has all the amenities one would expect from a high end hotel. The beach is also only a few steps away from a warm pool.

I liked that there was a whole beach resort at the back of the hotel. However, during my stay, I noticed that there were ants on the bed and the roof was leaking. I immediately notified the front desk, and they promptly switched my room.

I like the older atmosphere as long as it is clean and well keeped. Probably the only thing down there is the 24 a night parking and 24 for a chair and umbrella for the beach.

There are buildings works being carried out in the buildings on both sides of the Seaview. Life by the pool is noisy.

The property was lovely and quiet! There are some areas a bit dated along with the carpet in the room. The shower leaked under the glass door onto the floor every time. Also everything closes early due to being off season. The restaurant and Green room bar at 9pm and the pool bar and pool at 5pm. The staff is wonderful and could not do enough for us! The room was spotless every day and we throughly enjoyed our stay!

Its time for an update like more of the concierge knowing information about what is going on around in the area offering a breakfast buffet like in the past upped all the rooms take out the carpets and put nice flooring . A little goes a long way . Offer a shuttle service be competitive with the other places around

Second time staying here and will keep coming. Overall experience is excellent. Love that it’s quiet! Not a lot of people at pool or beach area. Room always clean with toiletries every time we step out and come back. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

A retro gem among high end hotels. The Sea View is a lovely throw back to the classic 50's. It may not have all the bells and whistles of its neighbors, but what it has is just right for a beach vacation. It's staff are friendly and accommodating. The pool was wonderful and I found the food was better than some of the pricey restaurants in the Bal Harbor Mall. Every time I return to Miami it's sad to see how many hotels are being torn down and replaced by very expensive properties. I hope the Sea View is around for a long time and look forward to coming back again.

Hotel was very old and needed updating. Tub clogged on our first night, door lock did another work on the second day, toilet almost overflowed on the third and final day. FYI hotel charges daily resort fees even if you don’t use those services.

We booked a king bay view room with a balcony…..the first room we were moved into was 2 queens overlooking the parking lot……we were told that was the bay view even though there was no water in site…….sounds like false advertising to me…..we finally settled on a a partial ocean view with 2 queens and had to pay an extra $400……not happy.

We were given probably the worst room right next to the service elevators and charged a fee for checking in early. That has never been the case in other hotels. Food and services were very limited. No beach food service. They guys at the beach (umbrella service were very nice).

The pool and beach was very nice and the service and attendants were very attentive and efficient. The concierge service was not at all informative and the front desk staff appeared to be training someone which took extra time.

The concierge Michael gave attitude when asked if cell phone cable was offered. Explain my situation and was very abrupt with me. Appears to have poor people skills, not friendly.
