Bed was not very comfortable. Our room was right by elevator, so it was pretty loud. Our only two issues. Otherwise very neat art museum Hotel.

The hotel carpet was dirty and the hotel seem rundown. The TV did not work in the room and it took us three times to get it resolved. We had breakfast in the Savoy restaurant and it took an hour to get our breakfast. Staff was not very helpful. I would not recommend this hotel

We could not locate hotel and did not stay there.

This hotel is very cool - I loved the unique artwork throughout, and the staff was helpful and friendly at every turn. The room was clean and comfortable and the food was great. 10/10 would recommend!!

Great hotel, very friendly staff and the room was great. Loved that it was dog friendly too as we brought our pup with us. My only complaint was the shower pressure was awful. We were only there for 3 nights so I didn’t complain or ask the staff to look at it but it was a struggle to wash my hair.

Gorgeous hotel and my first time there. Sadly my car was damaged by valet and now the hotel is ghosting me. I have been calling for almost two weeks to no avail. I initially spoke to the manager who explained they use a company to handle their valet service and she assured me that company would be getting ahold of me as part of their investigation. There is a camera at drop off and pick up so the “investigation” should have taken minutes. I’ve called repeatedly and left multiple messages. In this amount of time I’ve received one call back that again just said they had passed it to a valet company who would handle it. No valet company has tried to reach out to me and the hotel manager NEVER comes to the phone when I call. Asked one person if I could get a number to the corporate office and I was told they did not have a corporate office. When I pressed and said “aren’t you part of a chain of hotels?” she got testy with me and just transferred me to the manager to leave another message to once again be ignored. They do in fact have a corporate office which I will start with today. Beautiful property. I travel five states for work every month and initially was so happy to find this chain and planned on visiting them at each of the cities I travel to, but this has soured the experience.

The hotel was very nicely decorated and the 24/7 art gallery was fun to view. I was very dissatisfied with my greeting and service at The Savoy, the on-site dining. But, the hotel itself was great. I definitely would recommend and stay again.

Amazing. Would come here again. Location was central and restaurant in the hotel was fantastic!

One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in. The on-site restaurant/bar is fantastic, the art exhibits are so fun and interesting. Great stay all around. Highly recommend.

This was more than a hotel. It was an experience. Fabulous art, fun quirks, great staff, and comfortable rooms. The hotel is old so shower pressure wasn’t great, but that seemed small compared to the perks and there were many. Goo restaurant, great recommendations, and more. This will be our go to place in Kansas City and we can’t wait to visit their other locations.

Everything was great except the cleaning of the room. We had a rollaway bed, they cleaned the room and did nothing with the rollaway bed

Elevator went out on 2/24. Stairwell doors were then left open allowing anyone, including non-hotel guests, to access the floors. Once elevator was repaired, stairwell doors were locked from the inside which is a fire code violation. In addition, coffee not replenished after day 1 and our bed was not made and wash cloths not replaced after second day. And whoever replaced the towels after second day urinated in our toilet without flushing. I emailed several staff about the elevator issue and never received a response. Terrible experience and will not stay there again.

We were very underwhelmed with this hotel!
First of all we had a room with frosted windows, felt like we were in a jail cell. Parts were missing from bathroom sink and the faucet constantly dripped water and when we used the hot water, the water hammer sounded like the pipes were about to come out of the wall. As if that all wasn't bad enough in an apparently upscale hotel, we'd just got into bed when a terrible high pitched whistle started up.... figured it was coming once again from the problematic hot faucet, we ended up turning the hot water back on...it was like relieving a valve about to burst, this didn't stop it straight away...had to leave the water running for quite some time to calm it down which started the water hammer back up...this happened on and off all night. It was like a practical joke of some sort...we were taking turns getting up to it during the night. Told front desk in the am and they said they'd mention it to someone.... unbelievable, like no apology or anything!!!! And just to add insult to injury the light wouldn't switch off in the wardrobe so had that on all night too!!! NOT NOT NOT worth the money!

The hotel was confusing from the outside, but once you realize where you are its a unique piece of history to stay at that has a modern flare with the furniture and style. The museum in the lobby is an added fun experience that I honestly wasn't expecting. Only downfall was bed was uncomfortable and reminded me of an air mattress and the bathroom was a little run down.

Awesome except the elevators were down but it happens in a historic place The Savoy inside the hotel is the jewel

What a beautiful space. The room has so many little details that made it feel special. Everyone we encountered was very nice.

We had a great time at this artsy but substantial hotel. Helpful front desk service, cool bar, lots of fun.
The only thing I want to change is the toilet paper, which is so thin on the second day we went out and brought our own.
Everything else was great.

Our room was not as big as I thought it was supposed to be. We opted for the larger Deluxe double double. Then after about an hour of being there, our door would not shut. We had to call maintenance to fix it. He pushed in the door jamb so that it finally shut, but we still could not use the dead bolt. Later that night our toilet wouldn't flush. We called maintenance. In the meantime, my daughter tightened something under the lid and got it working so that when maint came it was back to working. Then the next morning around 7:45 someone walked into our room without knocking and said "oops sorry" and left. We have never had such a weird experience in a hotel before. I would NOT recommend to anyone to stay here safely.

Having read mixed reviews, I was cautiously optimistic and very satisfied. The hotel is unique and beautiful, the restaurant is amazing and delicious, the staff except one bartender (shorter with curly hair) were wonderful. We can’t wait to come back!

The very unique place. But when you're alone in your room it's very creepy vibe like there's spirits I've read and watch videos it's haunted did not sleep well at all

Ugly concrete decor. Dining room dark and dreadful breakfast. Room puke green with frosted windows so very dark. Soso gym and not enough staff

Great experience over all. More fun than the usual hotel. Could have used some hot water in the shower but all is good. Clean and quiet and beds where cozy.

The hotel is completely and funky and unique. There are penguins who pop-up all over and it’s hilarious. There isn’t an ice machine - that was a bummer (felt bad asking for ice at the front desk). No housekeeing during the five-day stay, and shower took like ten or so minutes to warm up? The building is historic, so lots of character and pipes to match, I suspect. Also if you’re going to an event at the Convention Center, there’s a pretty decent hill in between 9th and 13th, so get your cardio in order. The staff were sweet, and the breakfast buffet, although only a few offerings, was delish and a good value. I’d totally stay here again though, but with some expectations in-check.

I really liked my stay. I wasn't in the hotel much but it was a nice place and the high ceilings really made the room feel big. The staff was particular kind and warm and helped with any and all questions.

This property was mediocre. First impression of the place was alright. Interesting feel. Parking was easy. The art inside was nice and unique. There is a lounge on the ground floor, which I didn't patronize, but appeared classy.
However, this changed a bit when getting to the room. The furniture and carpeting in the rooms was run down. The sink was kind of unclean or just well-uses, maybe? Otherwise, the washroom and bed itself were nicely prepped and the bed was comfortable. It might be that the rundown appearance is the an intentional nod to an overall hipster vibe(?) of the hotel. That certainly isn't what I want in a hotel, however.
The front office staff were very nice and courteous. They helped with all of my questions about the area.
A bit of an issue I had was the crowding of parties in the lobby area, which is small, making it difficult to get out of the main hallway leading to the front entrance.
Overall, my stay was alright. It felt safe enough and it got the job done for a hotel stay, but I think I prefer the feel of a place that feels cleaner and more well-kept. 3/5 for me overall.

We had an amazing stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The lovby/museum was a nice change and a great experience for my teenage daughter and I.

Room was spacious, the art was a nice touch, and the front desk was friendly and helpful, but the shower didn't have hot water or much pressure at all. Overall great for the price, but I wouldn't want to pay more than, say, $200 a night.

Everything was comfortable with a very good cooked breakfast, but what stands out of course is the two floors of museum exhibits of contemporary art, as well as the art through the hotel, which gives incredible added value to the experience since the pieces on exhibit represent some of the most interesting trends in contemporary art.

Unique fun hotel! While there were things that may raise some eyebrows, we loved that it wasn’t the same old hotel experience. The art was superb!
The doorman had a bottle of booze fall out of his coat and shatter when he was helping with out luggage. He said “I have no clue where that came from” and kept on helping us. He acted like it didn’t happen, so we did too! Rooms and halls without art were pretty dusty. Gallery areas were very clean though. Our shades fell out of the window when opened the drapes. We told the front desk, they said they would send someone up to fix it, but it was never done. No biggie though. The drapes had plenty of coverage.
If this was a normal hotel, those things would’ve bothered me, but honestly, this hotel was unique and fun, so not concerned about it at all.

With a variety of quality hotel options from which to choose in KC, this property is my favorite. Safe and monitored parking across the street; big clean bathrooms; quiet rooms; espresso machine in the room; large comfortable rooms; friendly staff; plenty of pillows and towels; and full-size items in the bathroom! The bed was the only not-so-pleasant experience. It felt like an air mattress and the comforter was half-sized? The bed was not super uncomfortable, mostly just odd.

The sink pipes would randomly give off a high-pitched whistle. We would have to get out of bed and push on the faucet. I can't complain too much as I did not report it until we checked out. So that's on me. Loved to ambiance, the penguins, the atmosphere. We walked everywhere, even late at night, and did not feel unsafe.

Wish the parking was better but the hotel was nice i walked around and saw art and was able to have a drink in my hand while doing it
