With its casual vibe, original character plus luxurious updates and upgrades, everyone will feel at home and at this 3-bedroom beach retreat. Unlike many of the more modern homes on 30A, Grayt Fun has vintage personality in every room. You'll love lounging by your private pool where you'll find plenty of seating for ultimate relaxation. There are 2 living areas in the home with plenty of comfy seating. The fully-equipped open kitchen features a breakfast bar for 2, plus an additional counter along the window with seating for 4. Guests can choose from the king suite at the back of the house, queen bedroom or the 2 twins bedroom. Plus the 2nd living area features a bunk nook with 4 beds. Grayt Fun is the perfect spot if you like to go out and explore bars and restaurants. You’ll have no issues finding options at your doorstep: the famous Red Bar is about a 30-second walk and Chiringo is literally next door. Location is even better for beach access 1 minute and your toes are in the sand. Plus with your stay you can take advantage of 4 beach chairs and a wagon to haul everything back and forth. Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1: King bed, TV, pool patio access. Private half bathroom. Bedroom 2: Queen bed, TV. Bedroom 3: 2 twin bed, TV. Bunkroom: 2 sets of twin-over-twin beds. Shared bathroom 1 includes a tub/shower combo and shared bathroom 2 has a shower. Beach Access: Head down the driveway and south on Defuniak where it quickly turns into Hotz, this road ends at your access. This was the perfect place to host a getaway with friends! We wanted a beach location to celebrate a bachelorette party and this was the best house! Plenty of room for everyone and you can't beat the location and pool amenities. Everyone had a great time and commented on how perfect the house was.
The smallest things to note that could improve: one bathroom didn't have a lock on the door and the other bathroom lock didn't work. The shower looks to have been recently updated and anytime anyone took a shower, the water seeped out between the glass door and onto the floor causing a mess. Also, the communication with the host/rental property agents was poor. I texted the "text line" that was in the check-in instructions with no reply. I then received a different number to text the next day and the communication was very delayed.
Overall, an amazing trip and would 10/10 stay here again!

We were impressed how the master bedroom is private/ separate from the others, but that room was a little difficult to cool. We were impressed at all the items available in the storage unit by the pool. The pool water is a bit too warm however.
When we arrived, everything was clean except the spoon rest. The kitchen could benefit from more supplies such as more mixing bowls, Tupperware and a spatula.
The small shower was difficult to use because the shower curtain kept blowing on your legs. It was helpful that there were lots of towels and even dark washcloths for removing make up. Providing hand soap in the kitchen would be a good idea. We would rent it again!

House was very clean. Fenced in yard for pets was perfect. Enjoyed the heated pool. Strange layout. In Order to exit the house a person has to walk through other peoples sleeping areas.Decor is very dated. Perfect location however.

the only reason a gave a 1 star is the bedrooms very good
when we got there we had to pick up water bottles and plastic cups there was candy wrappers stuffed in the candle holders and wax left all over from the burnt out candles obviously they did not clean outside so i wiped down the table and the dirt nasty
we arrived on a Sunday and the pool was dirty so we could not use it until Tuesday pool cleaning day.
The dish washer was broke so a repair person showed up but had to order a new dish washer so we where there the whole time no dishwasher.
The pictures shown in the rental are nothing like what was there.
Sleeps 10 but only has seating for 4 two at the counter and two at a table bar stools that were a heavy plastic and with two small kids there was really no place for them to eat .
The Carpet in the bedroom was so dirty i had to fold it up and put it away the windows were dirty and most of them leaked therefore the place really was not looked after.
House did not appear cleaned there were cob webs at the floor and refrigerator
if you are going to charge extra for covid you need to clean the outside also .
We had to stay a additional day because of weather which they did not charge me appreciate that .

Fixed a few plumbing issues early. Lighting of back yard and pool were disappointing. If one of my renters had these issues they expect for gathering with family and friends, I would not be renting until all is fixed. We enjoyed this property.

This property is in a great location with quick access to the beach and right next to Red Bar and Chiringo. The pool was great to enjoy when we were tired of going to the beach, and it was awesome to have a private outdoor shower. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location in the heart of Grayton! Surprisingly quiet and private, though it is next door to a restaurant and on the busiest corner in the area. Can park, check in and never drive again until it’s time to go home! One level home worked well for my elderly parents, pool was great though the door alarm to the pool (which is a state requirement) spooked my dog, so we went out the front door and around to the pool in the back so as not to set off the alarm. Well-stocked kitchen - could have cooked more if there weren’t amazing restaurants 2 minutes away. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great experience!

We had a great time at the beach. The property is as listed except the photos need to be updated. The bunk room has been upgraded and is very comfortable for children now. The dining room furniture has been changed and seats only 4 (2 at bar and 2 at table). Outdoor table and chairs set up seats 6+ as long as weather holds.
Next door neighbor is noisy restaurant-bar. However they close at 10.
Little things help...they have plenty of fluffy white towels. Also the kitchen knives actually cut. Manager very responsive.

We had a fantastic time here -- the location is ideal, close to the beach and shops. Perfect walking, running and biking. The online pictures do not accurately show how great this house is. Way better in person -- our family with four young children and our dog absolutely had a great time. Parking wasn't an issue for us, the restaurant next door can get very busy but it is also great. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I’ve never written a bad review before but I can’t express how disappointed I was with my 60th BD celebration these past few weeks. The house was gross, dog pee all over the rugs ( took me a little while to figure it out, I removed them as soon as I realized), the AC filters were horrible, my dogs got into something in the yard and I had 5 visits to the vet spending another 1000 and time and anguish! I later discovered a rat trap in the yard, yes, all this really happened in my 2 weeks. This house has so much potential but no one has taken care of it and the mold, mildew, roaches, dog urine really did me in. I just got home and my clothes smell so bad that I am having to wash everything that was in that house. I do not recommend this property and I am super disappointed! I wasted so much time cleaning, taking my dogs to the vet, removing urine ruined rugs, looking for what was making my dogs sick in the yard that I had little time to enjoy the beach. The property manager did return my calls but offered no resolution but sending someone to “clean” after I had spent hours already doing it. The sofa in the front room needs to go in the dumpster with the rugs. IT appeared to be “surface clean” but the odors and air quality were horrible and I had to spend so much time to get it to be barely adequate. 2020 has truly sucked for everyone but I was really looking forward to this trip and I’m sick that I spent so much money for such disappointment!

We had a great time at GRAYT FUN! Charming cottage with a great location and awesome pool. Our only disappointments were the master bedroom and bunk beds. The bunk beds are about to fall apart and the master is very musty smelling. Pretty sure it is due to the AC window unit. Also was not a fan of the unfinished floors in the master. A few upgrades and this place would be nice. We loved the main house, just the add on's need some work. Also would recommend a different type of ground covering besides pine straw. The pine straw was a nuisance for children and pets. Would have loved some grass to play in. The location was great! I was worried about the noise level with the restaurant next door, but we could not hear them at all. Overall we had a great trip!

We had an awesome stay at this special place in Grayton Beach. We loved the location, next to Shorty's and a stone's throw from the Red Bar. The cottage is very charming; more like a beach bungalow than a fancy dive, it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved to make a nice dinner either in the well-equipped kitchen or out on the gas grill by the pool. You can get fresh caught seafood in several close locations.
If you are looking for fast paced, hectic and crazy this is NOT IT! Very relaxing low-key area with more than enough to keep you busy. Still close enough to Destin to take a day trip to the Harbor or travel the opposite direction and check out Panama City with all it's restaurants and attractions. BUT, there is no need to travel far since you have your own beautiful private pool. Night time is extra special with the neat pool lights and perfect set-up. The outdoor shower is great for rinsing off after coming in off the beach.
Don't forget to bring or rent bikes. Biking around the Grayton Beach area is so much fun with the park on either side of the area. Lots of neat little shops and eateries that you can walk or bike to. The dune lakes are neat to explore.
The beach is just steps away with beautiful white sand, water with a million colors of greens and blues, and miles to walk without any stresses.
The management company for Grayt Fun (Michael James with Paradise Beach Rental) is responsive, pleasant to work with and just plain nice!
We can't wait to have another special time at Grayt Fun! Thanks so much for allowing us to bring our hairy kids!

We had a wonderful stay in this great cottage! The location was close to everything (beach, restaurants, etc...). The cottage is very nice with plenty of room. We really enjoyed the nice private pool as well. We definitely will stay here again!

It rained and was chilly the whole time we were at the beach, although that didn't deter our fun and enjoyment in this quaint and clean cottage. Being next door to the local watering hole was great for March Madness and meeting new friends. This is close to everything. Hopefully, we will have an opportunity to stay here again.

We stayed for 4 nights at this beach cottage and had a fabulous time! It has an amazing location! It's just steps from the beach as well as to Grayton landmarks such as the Red Bar. The house is beautifully modernized but still gives you the Old Florida Beach cottage feel. There is lots of room for large parties at this house. While it was too cold for us to enjoy the pool, it looked spectacular and there was plenty of outdoor living area to enjoy. Can't wait to rent this cottage again in the summer!
