About this chalet rental

Situated in Girdwood, this charming chalet for $505 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This is a 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, 3 story log cabin chalet. Located in a quiet culdesac bordering the Chugach Forest. Close to fishing, hiking, biking, cross country and downhill skiing. Located one mile from the day lodge and base of the mountain. Enjoy amazing restaurants, cafés, galleries and Girdwood Brewing Company. Our chalet has every thing you need. The down stairs is the TV room with two spacious sofa sleepers, laundry room, second bathroom and work space. The second floor is the main entrance with a full kitchen, living room, main bathroom and beautiful sunroom that can be utilized in the summer. The third floor has two bedrooms, one over looking the back yard and the second bedroom overlooks the front yard and has a private balcony. Enjoy during the winter or the summer months. Time on the mountain is enjoyed year-round. Winter skiing is everywhere. Come play on amazing Nordic ski trails or breathtaking mountain slopes. To avoid any surprises, please be aware of your surroundings outside. You may see wild animals. We have security cameras on the exterior of the chalet.

What a great getaway! This chalet was absolutely perfect for our family’s needs. Two-minute drive to everything we wanted to do in Girdwood, including skiing. Great layout with all needed ameneties. It’s the cleanest VRBO we’ve ever stayed in, and the owners were super quick at responding to questions. Excellent communication and clear expectations. Very easy. I would tell everyone to book it, but I don’t want you all to book it on the days I want it. 😝 I GIVE THEM ALLLLLLL THE STARS!!!

Debbi our host was the best! My husband and son made it down on a Saturday morning and had a wonderful stay! Originally we were supposed to go down Friday including myself but my mom had surgery and I ended up staying in town and Debbi was so understanding even reimbursed part of our stay. I can’t wait to go now but looks like dates are already booking! Thank You so much!

The cabin was perfect! We loved the holiday decorations and the outdoor lighting. The cabin was clean, cozy, and organized. My classmates and I made dinner, exchanged gifts, and finished off the night in the hottub. Would love to rent this place in the future!

I loved this little yet big cabin. The use of space, decor and overall feeling of this property was impressive! My favorite part was the sun room! The owner(s) paid so much attention to detail from the decor, little extras (like throw blankets in the sun room) and lighting throughout the cabin.

We loved this cabin. Really enjoyed the sunroom and hot tub. Kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. Probably the cleanest cabin we've ever stayed at.

Very cute and comfortable cabin. The only negative was the upstairs (main) TV wouldn’t stay connected to streaming services, only an issue for our toddler.

The Sunshine Chalet was perfect for our small family and friends. We live in small Alaska communities two hours' distance from each other. What a treat to meet in Girdwood and have the perfect cabin to gather, make meals, and catch up on life...when not out on the slopes! The Sunshine Chalet had everything we needed or wanted! Watch out; we will be back!
