This was a beautiful apartment in a stunning location. Getting up the steps with heavy luggage was tough, so be prepared. We did need to contact the host about some basics, paper towels, toilet paper...but they were brought immediately. It would have been nice to have better TV selection, but we were barely in the apartment.

If you want to be in the heart of Florence, this apartment is in a perfect location with lots of space for a large group. However, there are some details not mentioned in the listing that can affect your experience.
1. The listing specifies parking but it doesn't mention that it is in a paid lot ($35/day) that isn't on the property. We wouldn't have driven if we'd known. The unit is also deep in the ZBT zone (which means fines for non residents). So be aware.
2. As other reviews have mentioned, the apartment is up 4 or 5 flights of stairs. We managed with 2 senior citizens and a baby. So can you. The location is worth it.
3. The apartment is not mobile baby/toddler friendly. There is a crib, but there are many ledges, landings and stairs in the unit and most of the doors don't latch shut. Mobile babies and toddlers require constant supervision.
4. Like most rental properties these days, unfortunately, the apartment needs maintenance. No single issue will ruin your stay, but collectively they wear on you. For example, none of the bedroom or bathroom doors latch shut or lock. There are loose floor tiles and sharp edges in the showers. The bathroom vanities are hanging off the wall and leaking. The showerheads only dribble. Many of the light bulbs in lamps and chandeliers are burnt out or missing. The TV remotes are mostly missing batteries and the TVs aren't plugged into anything. The AC can't hold a temperature below 78F even on cool days.
Just go in eyes open.

A group of 7 middle aged gentlemen enjoying a long weekend in Florence and Tuscany.
The location of the apartment is great, a short walk to the centre and some great places to eat nearby.
Communication with Giovanni was excellent.
The apartment was comfortable and spotlessly clean.
I think others have mentioned the stairs so no need to comment further, one pearl of advice is the light switches on the landings have small LED's. Please note all of the other switches are door bells.
The listing says there are 10 bedrooms, there are 10 sleeping areas, they are all shown accurately in photos. In flat one there is a lounge/kitchen/dining room with a sofa bed. Bedroom 1, a double bed with sofa bed and cot, Bed room 2, two single beds and a bathroom. In apartment 2 there is a lounge/kitchen/dining room with 2 sofa beds, Bedroom 1, a double bed with sofa bed, a mezzanine floor with two double beds.
It all worked out well for us, we had a great time and would definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay here! As previous posts mentioned the stairs will be strenuous for the elderly and out of shape (I'm both) but there are landings to catch your breath - it's not a race! The apartment was clean, had all the amenities, and plenty of space for our family of six to spread out and enjoy some privacy. The ACs worked great in the summer heat. Giovanni was responsive and helpful during our stay even calling a taxi service for us to make our early morning train out of Florence - Taxis are difficult to come by in the morning but it's only about a 15-20 minute walk to the train station for those who are traveling lightly.
We really enjoyed staying on this side of the Arno - less crowded, great shopping and restaurant options, and easy access to all the attractions of Florence.

Stairs. I would be remiss if I didn't start my review with that word. This Apartment was in a great location just over the bridge from high end shoping and was close to some of the best restaurants we ate at during our trip. The apartment was clean and very large for our group of 16 and the rooms were comfortable. Here is my only negative, the stairs. There are 4 floors of steps to navigate to the apartment without the avialabilty of an elevator(lift). It wasn't too bad once our luggage was upstairs but it was tough for some of our older guests. I would stay here again but perhaps with less luggage to bring up the stairs.

We had a lovely stay in the Appartment which was perfect for our needs - 2 families totalling 11 persons. The 2 appartments gave us flexibility for a family of 5 and another of 6. The Appartment had all the equipment we needed and the location was superb in Santo Spirito. The host very accomodating and helpful, thank you.

This apartment was everything we could have asked for during our stay in Florence. Traveling for over a month, it was nice to wash our clothes and have an apartment style stay for a few days. The location was amazing and was right next to the Ponte Vecchio. This was my favorite spot of our trip!

This apartment is a gem right in the heart of the downtown district of Florence. From it, you can walk to all sightseeing locations easily. It is surrounded by great coffee shops and a handy market right across the street. The owner is wonderful; very responsive and professional, and respected our privacy during our 5 day stay in Florence. The apartment is very tastefully done, with fresh decor and comfortable layout for a short or longer stay. We would definitely return here if we find ourselves in Florence again.

.Arrived to two beautiful antique doors and gorgeous statue .Apartment literally next to the bridge before the Vecchio.Entering through the apartment via a vault door was impressive but then emerged into a beautiful modern apartment decorated equizitly .Although small it was all we needed. The second bedroom was in the spacious attic so made it very private. There was only one bathroom but we managed.
What we liked about this apartment was the location .It was so close to everything especially the little trattorias and bars that were dotted everywhere around the area Once we walked over the bridge we could walk to all the main tourist attractions of Florence plus the train station if needed. There was a little church two doors down that held small choirs and musical afternoons for free so quaint and a beautiful experience. I watched a welsh choir sing and it was so entertaining .
Only downside for those thinking of booking is that you have 70 steps to climb before you get to the apartment .Also the attic has a steep staircase. We were in our 60's but found it not a problem.
Would definitely book again here.

Everything was in order. Our host met us and gave us a quick tour. The apartment was clean and modern and we were able to walk in any almost direction to see the sights of Florence. The train station was a walkable 10 minutes.
