This is an Open-Space duplex, with the bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor and the living room and kitchen on the entrance floor. The spacious living room features a sofa where you can relax, a wide-screen TV to watch all your favourite shows and a dining table. The area features an expansive window that lets in a lot of natural sunlight that brightens the space, making it even more inviting. This kitchen is fully equipped with essential cookware and cutlery that you will need to cook a delicious meal, including a stove, oven and coffee machine, among other utilities. A washing machine is also available if you wish to do the laundry. There are three bedrooms with a queen bed, one with a single bed and another with a sofabed. All beds come with complimentary hotel-quality linens to ensure guests sleep well. The two bathrooms have all the amenities you will need to freshen up, including clean towels and toiletries for your convenience. The apartment is always professionally cleaned for your comfort. Enjoy your stay! Guests will have access to the entire home! We are GuestReady, a property manager, and we want to ensure your stay will be as smooth and comfortable as possible. We are available 24/7 should you need any assistance during your stay. Kindly note that this is a personal home, so please take good care of it as if it was your own. Located in the city's heart, this apartment is an ideal base to explore all the attractions Coimbra offers. Portugal dos Pequenitos, Sé Velha - Coimbra, and Honorato Coimbra are all nearby, while Via Lusitânia and Sabor and Arte are great places to grab a bite. This area is the perfect spot to soak up the local culture and get an authentic taste of Coimbra. With the São José station a mere 7 minutes away on foot and the Carvalhosas station just 2 km away, you have easy access to the rest of the city and all its attractions. Whether you're looking for a cultural experience or just some time away, this is the perfect spot to start your journey. This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before being able to check into the property. Check-in can be done from 2 PM, pending availability and confirmation. There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g., smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a €200 smoking fee at minimum. Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights, a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€. For the first days, we provide the basic amenities: samples of shower gel, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, dishwashing products and bin bag. Extra keys: 20€ (extra pair of keys when available, lost keys or service to open the door during your stay). Extra cleaning with linen: the price of a cleaning fee. Extra Clothing: 30€ (Towels and sheets for 2pax, i.e. when the sofa bed is not included).

To begin, Finding the key box was very difficult because the box is concealed behind a bush ( a local resident had to guide us)-never try this in the dark as it would be impossible to find it, many yards from the building where the unit is located. Then, once one makes it to the 8 th floor of building “ C” ( buildings are not clearly marked by the way) the key does not open the door. It’s unfortunately that simple: an impossible task for a paid guest to use the premises advertised & paid for. The neighbor across complained to us ( after we tried to open his door w/ the key provided) that this is a common occurrence ( & past guests have tried to open his door after failing to open the unit, just like us). At this point we contacted Vrbo support & they got us alternative accommodations. Epic fail as an accommodation-we’ve stayed in many vrbo’s for the past 15 years & this was a first. The area surrounding the building ( which is used by locals as cheaper residences is so far from old Coimbra, that it’s a total waste of time since one would be unable to walk this beautiful old city! Traveler beware, no one needs our past mistake-just choose a different place & enjoy what old Coimbra has to offer!
