Bad experience in Memphis.

It was clean.

Police raid next door. Guns found on property. Terrifying night. Felt like I was lied to. Never coming back here again. This place should be removed from. Booking.com permanently.

Scenic Memphis

Provided coffee and clean towels. Clean in general. Provided WiFi and tv. Peaceful for the most part. Issue with the lock and the owner sent someone out right away to get it squared away.

Wish they had a broom and vacuum. Really nothing to like lol.

Asking upstairs guest to remove shoes. It can be loud.

It was clean inside.

The outside is unmanaged and with lots of trash. The second "room" needs more like blackout curtains.

Disappointing

From the outside it looks great, but: Two of the four apartments in the house are undergoing complete renovation works. So you better dont’t mind schlepping your luggage through the dirt of a construction site. Also you better groove to the drilling soundtrack from next wall while waking up and having breakfast. (Have those honey drops close, as you will discussing dayplans screaming at your travel companion). Kitchen surfaces and bathroom were clean, but all other rooms have not seen a vacuum cleaner in weeks. If you don’t mind dust balls, other persons hairs, part of hankerchiefs, pricetags or nails under the furniture including the bed and if you’re not bothered by crumbs and stains on the furniture you’ll feel at home here. Otherwise you simply clean the place yourself after arriving. If you are a globetrotter, you probably won’t be bothered by the missing toilet paper and clean yourselves in the Japanese way. Otherwise you’ll have a problem… Make sure your device is connected to the internet or your Memphis plans are all set, because the Wifi won’t work. You’ll probably will get several wrong door codes until you finally will be able to get into the appartment, just stay cool even if it is 100 degrees outside. And oh, you better don’t mind if strangers will stand in your hallway as you step out the shower, as everyone gets the same door code, apparently! If you call the owner to complain, he’ll first hang up on you. Then he gets a lot of excuses. In the end we got a total refund, but our stay here really was ruined.
