Location.
Had a leak in the bathroom. Took maintenance 2 days to fix. Some of the staff is nice. Some are indifferent. For such an expensive resort you'd expect more. Food is below average for the prices. Need better chefs definitely.

Beaches nearby was great. Kapalua area is beautiful and so is the resort. Close to golf courses and few restaurants.
Food at the pool was not that good. Location is very far from most of the other things to do on the island.

Central, quiet and beautifully maintained
We were initially given our suite which neighboured the elevator, unfortunately the noise of the elevator going up and down was quite bothersome. We complained and were given a quieter suite. It’s unfortunate as I’m sure others may have experienced the same problem. Having to move rooms was an annoying and time consuming.

The staff were amazing and a big thank you to Margie for recommending that we upgrade to the Club Lounge!
We had a long distance to the beach and no fine dining restaurant for dinner.

Amazing stay to stay forever in our minds. 12.000 km of travelling but 👌🏻
Everything was fine

Good access to Fleming Beach with hotel shuttle. Clear water and nice waves.
Pools were not warm enough. Constant strong winds. Someone smoked a foul-smelling cigar several times near our belcony, and we had to go inside. There was confusion and delay at check-in about whether or not the room was feather-free, even though we had requested a feather-free room months in advance.

The resort is absolutely stunning; beautiful greenery; clean; and lots of options.
There was construction happening above us and no one alerted us. One day it was very noisy.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and really made our stay
Property feels a little dated for the amount that you are spending - could definitely go down an eco route to evolve the property in a sustainable way

The property is beautiful as is the setting. The lobby area and the view from the veranda was fabulous, and very cozy with multiple fire pits. Our partial ocean view room had a wonderful view as well.

We were upgraded to the club lounge and it made the stay. The club room was fabulous with almost too many good choices for food and drink. We also visited the spa. It was a first for my husband and he was impressed, but I think it says more that I have been to MANY spas and this was truly the best. Like if I won the lottery, I would fly there just for the spa. Our room was bigger than our first apartment with an enormous bathroom. Even though our view was mostly of the resort, it was still a beautiful scene and we had a wedge of ocean to watch from our lanai. I also took advantage of the complimentary yoga classes and the well maintained walking paths. I only wish we had stayed longer!
Honestly nothing. Ok, I wish they sold the diffuser that has the “scent” of the hotel at the gift shop instead of only online. It smelled so good, I found myself pausing to deeply inhale while walking through the lobby.
