Great but disappointing

The in room spa was excellent after the pool and hot tub heater were broken. But I had to pay $70 more for that toom.

We booked a queen room with the thought that we could use the pool and hot tub. That is why I picked this hotel but the heater was broken. After the first night I asked to be put in a room with a spa and was charged $70 more which was extremely high considering I could get that room on booking .com for $117. They should have given it to us considering the heater was broken.

Acceptable

The location was nice and the room was very nice and it was quiet.

Check-in was delayed due to internet issues and the breakfast was just OK.

The management is not trustworthy for Sr Citizens to stay.

They told me as I booked I would only be charged for 2 days. Results charged me for 3 days

As Raj stated they would refund or credit Mr for Sunday.

Exactly What We Wanted

We've always had a good experience with Baymont properties. That said, this property was no different; checking in was easy, and we were on the ground floor. Everything was clean and well lit, and it didn't feel dated. The room was clean and had fresh linens (something that I've read to check). It was nicely appointed, and the California King was comfortable for someone who likes a firmer mattress. The hot water wasn't too hot, and the pressure was good. That's a major point in any stay. We did have a small issue with the TV and Direct TV. The issue was fixed by the time we returned from dinner. Since thus was a business trip, we skipped using the pool or hot tub, and with everything in Marshalltown to do, we didn't get to use the modest exercise room with a treadmill and elliptical The location was next to the Interstate, which made it easier to find. And it's not far (less than ten minutes) from downtown. The breakfast was included and thankfully had proteins as well as the standard carbs and fresh fruit.

Really, nothing to mention. They've got everything that we wanted. We had a small issue with Direct TV.

Avoid at all cost, definitely not worth the money.

The staff was very rude, we were met with an attitude from the moment we checked in. The hotel was very dated and not very clean. We will never stay here again.

the bed was soft and clean. my wife was happy. that’s all that really matters.

it was a nice stay and the hot tub was nice and the pool was as well. They could have kept the pool area open longer but other than that it was good.

It wasn’t as nice as other places that I’ve stayed for the same price or even cheaper. But it was still nice.

Was clean had everything we needed should have used exercise room

We had a handicap room because we booked through you couldn't change room and doesn't show online which rooms are handicap I didn't mind large bathroom moved the shower stool out of shower used for luggage I hate my luggage on floor anyway I understand having this room upsets some people

it was very fitting for our weekend and we appreciate everyone being so nice.

Everyone at the front desk was super nice. The pool was super nice for the kids and I loved we had somewhere to go sit outside with our 1 yr old that was gated in. The location with get you anywhere in town fast and has a lot of fast food locations and restaurants for families

I had ants in my room not a lot but there was ants so we were kind of nervous to leave food on the table or drinks.

It was a decent place to stay but Because if the musty smell, we probably won’t stay here again.

Location was great! Facility was very nice. We didn’t have a chance to use the pool or hot tub but they looked great.

The room was very musty smelling. When we got back to our room for the second night, the baby blanket I had on the bed was damp feeling. The things in my suitcase smelled dank and musty when we unpacked at home. The breakfast closed early and the yogurt was curdled.

Disappointing

Breakfast was adequate, some of the staff was friendly.

Room had a chunk out of the wall by the door, dirty carpet, two of the lamps didn't work (one was because of a dead outlet). Overpriced for the condition of the room.

Room was not clean and there was no breakfast when it was mention that there was. Room is very small and dirty bathroom and carpet was sticky.
